He realized there must have been a mutiny, which the commander had apparently quelled.
Though he did not understand the commander’s motive for sending them into battle, he guessed it was to make a show for the other soldiers.
"Are they jealous because we haven’t been fighting hard enough? Is that why they betrayed the commander? Is that why he’s sending us to fight?"
As he organized his troops, the captain glanced around and noticed the other regiments watching them intently.
This confirmed his suspicions. "If that’s the case, then let’s show them what the guards are made of!"
With a loud command, he led his one thousand guards into the fray.

With that, Ye Liuyun subdued the Galeocerdo Legion into his forces without any further blood shedding.
The Sirius Realm now belonged to Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun tasked Hyan Mutong with overseeing the cleanup of the battlefield and the city. Every resource was to be seized and the bodies of the fallen were to be stored as food reserves for the Devil Clan and feral beasts.
