Chapter 2313: Chapter 2313 Replication of Equipment

Ye Liuyun swiftly blended into the chaos of the battlefield, casting slaving seals on the commander’s steed before retreating into his spatial world.

Even these war wolves were bound by divine soul contracts.

Mo Shaowen, much like Ye Liuyun, focused on manipulating the soldiers to turn against their own, sowing confusion without re-establishing any divine soul contracts.

Even if he had, it would have been futile as Sui Fenghu would have detected it immediately.

Seizing the opportunity, Ye Liuyun marked each masterless war wolf with a slaving seal and whisked them away into his spatial world.

Sui Fenghu quickly noticed that both the leader of the troop and the alpha wolf king had been assaulted by divine soul. His soldiers and war wolves were continuously being slain or captured as well.

He immediately ordered the troop to retreat and dispatched ten thousand soldiers as reinforcements.

Ye Liuyun did not pursuit, knowing when to quit. Instead, he gathered all the people and corpses into his spatial world and used the power of spatial folding to escape far beyond the reach of the Galeocerdo Legion.

Sui Fenghu of the Galeocerdo Legion was furious to see everyone vanish suddenly. In this battle, he lost a commander, nearly a hundred soldiers and their corresponding war wolves.

He suffered a significant loss after deploying the War Wolf Cavalry for the first time.

This incident made him more cautious in future operations after realiseing there were presence of powerful soul cultivator with the capability of becoming stealth.

He was not sure whether the attack was from the local martial practitioners or Ye Liuyun.

According to previous reports from his commanders, there should have been a hundred thousand troops here. Yet, not a single soldier was in sight with only local martial practitioners remained.

He found it impossible to believe that anyone’s spatial world could be large enough to contain so many soldiers.

His own spatial world was already vast and was packed to the brim with ten thousand war wolves calvary. How could Ye Liuyun, a martial practitioner where his realm had not reached the ninth tier, possibly capable of holding more poeple than him.

Therefore, he concluded that since there was no sign of Ye Liuyun’s army, they must have retreated.

However, the ambush today was executed with a finesse that was completely different from the reckless tactics typically employed by local martial practitioners. It was this invisible adversary that truly instilled fear.

As a result, his subsequent attacks were carried out with extreme caution, always prepared for the unexpected.

After Ye Liuyun escaped, he immediately stripped the armor from the soldiers and handed it over to Qiong Qi and Ton Xin to study and replicate.

The war wolves were confined within his spatial world, where a particularly dominant alpha wolf king was kept, potentially useful in future battles.

Meanwhile, the Galeocerdo Legion was busy cleaning up the battlefield.

Sui Fenghu always meticulously oversaw this process after each battle, as his war wolves required corpses for sustenance in addition to the resources gathered.

Sui Fenghu was also fuming over the losses in his war wolf cavalry. His primary focus was on defending against external attacks, paying little attention to the cleanup operations within the city.

Taking advantage of this, Ye Liuyun’s clone began to stealthily take control of more soldiers. However, controlling each one individually without detection was a time-consuming process.

To expedite this, he targeted higher-ranking officers during the Galeocerdo Legion’s temporary lull in activity.

In subsequent battles where the Galeocerdo Legion attacked the city, Ye Liuyun would always infiltrate the city in advance to set up ambushes and coordinating with his clone to control more commanders and soldiers of the Galeocerdo Legion.

Since the Galeocerdo Legion was taking turn for their units to fight and train, Ye Liuyun and his clone quickly spread their influence throughout the army by controlling minor commanders and soldiers.

However, Ye Liuyun dared not touch Sui Fenghu’s top ten commanders, array masters or the guards, fearing they might have contracts with Sui Fenghu that would alert him upon any interference.

Meanwhile, Qiong Qi and Ton Xin were studying the armor along with the array masters Ye Liuyun had previously captured. They discovered that the energy shield function of the small shield on the armor was achieved through array formations.

With the array master’s assistance, Qiong Qi and Ton Xin quickly replicated this functionality.

Ye Liuyun even made a special trip back to the Alliance of Goddessess using the teleportation black tower, instructing Qiong Qi to teach them the refining method. He mobilized all the blacksmiths and array masters to collaborate and upgrade the armor for his army.

Since it was merely adding a defensive shield, the upgrade process was swift. With to the combined efforts of blacksmiths and formation masters from both worlds, half of Ye Liuyun’s troops had armor equipped with defensive shields.

Many soldiers no longer needed to carry heavy shields with one hand for defense, making their movements in battle much more agile.

Ye Liuyun also captured a minor commander from the Galeocerdo Legion and had Hyan Mutong worked with him to conduct targeted training for the army, familiarizing them with the enemy’s formations and the use of their armors.

Ye Tiandao, Yuan Hao, Tiger King and the others were diligently following the training. They studied ways to counter the enemy’s tactics and leveraging their strengths, which they then integrated into their own soldiers’ training.

A month later, Ye Liuyun’s army was fully prepared for battle in terms of equipment and combat tactics.

This efficiency was so astonishing that even Hyan Mutong found it terrifying.

However, Ye Liuyun wasn ot in a hurry to act. He sensed that Sui Fenghu was always on guard against him. Every time they attacked a city, Sui Fenghu held back some forces and ready to defend against a sudden assault.

Ye Liuyun needed to wait for an opportunity when Sui Fenghu would let his guard down, making him believe that Ye Liuyun’s army had truly withdrawn.

Moreover, unless the local forces were completely wiped out, Sui Fenghu would not fully believe that Ye Liuyun had really left.

So, Ye Liuyun took the chance to infiltrate the Galeocerdo Legion, gaining control over as many of their soldiers as possible.

Sui Fenghu never imagined that Ye Liuyun had already infiltrated his army and the local martial cultivators were even more clueless.

They were frantically searching for Ye Liuyun. There were only a dozen or so cities remained unconquered and they were on the brink of annihilation.

Within the Alliance State, refugees had filled every available space. Tents were sprawling outside the city walls, totaling over three hundred thousand people.

As they were on the verge of collapse, did the elders suddenly recall Ye Liuyun’s advice and gather the martial cultivators from the nearby ten cities here.

The common folk had also received the order to flee southward, scattering in all directions.

By now, every local knew that the final battle was imminent.

After this clash, they would all be enslaved by the soldiers of the Sanctuary Land.

Panic spread like wildfire. No one knew if the Sanctuary Land’s troops would spare them, so they ran for their lives. They desperately put as much distance between themselves and the impending doom as possible.

Meanwhile, the hundreds of thousands of martial cultivators who had gathered were steeling themselves for the last stand.

The Galeocerdo Legion discovered that the towns ahead were now deserted after advancing for another two cities.

Facing nearly four hundred thousand martial cultivators, they remained unfazed. Even if these fighters gave their all, they were no match for the legion.
