"Who should I ask for the spirit crystals? Are you going to handle the handover?" Ye Liuyun asked Zheng Huan.
Reluctantly, Zheng Huan disclosed the details of the contract they had signed with Ye Liuyun to the crowd and designated a descendant of the elders as their representative.
Privately, Zheng Huan also informed the representative about the elders’ schemes, making it clear that it was their petty tricks that had offended Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun then instructed the newly chosen representative. "Go back and prepare five times the amount of spirit crystals to send to me. If I don’t receive them in three days, I’ll send my troops to collect them myself!"
After demanding the payment, Ye Liuyun immediately implanted all 220 martial cultivators with salving seals. He then divided and assigned them to Ye Tiandao and Yuan Hao respectively to them back to the camps.
He also took the opportunity to probe Zheng Huan’s ocean of consciousness to confirm his earlier suspicions. It was indeed the elders who had concocted the foolish plan, thus he refrained from further blaming Zheng Huan.

"All right! I admire your courage and I’ll honor your choice. But my army is still out there, cleaning up the battlefield and gathering resources. They can’t return immediately.
You’ll have to give me some time to wait for them. If you’re not even willing to grant us that, then we’ll have no choice but to fight."
The group exchanged uneasy glances. They knew full well that engaging Ye Liuyun in battle would be tantamount to mass suicide. Seeing that he had agreed to their request, they simply wanted to buy more time and agreed immediately.
As soon as they left, Ye Liuyun immediately ordered his remaining forces to hold their positions and await his arrival.
He then gathered his closest allies and set off to rendezvous with the main army.
"Are we leaving? Are we actually scared of their threats?" Zhao Hu asked with his brow furrowed in confusion.
Mo Tianheng chuckled softly and asked. "It won’t be long before the Sanctuary Land’s hundred thousand reinforcements arrive. How long do you think those locals can hold out?"

Ye Liuyun nodded with a wry smile. "These locals! I was actually planning to lend them a hand, to give them a way out. But they’re determined to dig their own graves!
Since they’re so eager to drive us away, let them bear the consequences. We’ll focus on gathering resources instead!"
As they made their way to the main army, Ye Liuyun and his companions discreetly recalled the praetorain led by Man Feng and the demonic beastmen legion, hiding them within the spatial world for the time being.
Hyan Mutong and his twenty thousand surrendered troops, along with the newly subdued five thousand troops were divided into over thirty groups to gather resources across various regions. This time, there was no need for them to sort the resources on the spot. They simply collected anything useful and only to oryanised later. This approach significantly sped up their progress.
By the time the one hundered thousand reinforcement troops from the sanctuary lan arrived, Ye Liuyun and his team had nearly completed their resource collection. Only a few hundred soldiers remained scattered and had not yet returned.
Those who had returned were promptly kept in Ye Liuyun’s spatial world.
When the hundred thousand reinforcements arrived and found no trace of any large army, they immediately launched an attack on the local cities.
