Ye Liuyun took all the information in, nodding in agreement. As he probed more, he discovered that the Sanctuary knights did not rely on the use of puppet beasts or cannons. Surprisingly, it was their superior armour, weaponry, and battle formations that helped them win.
"Their armour and weaponry are fairly comparable to ours," muttered Qiong Qi to Ye Liuyun via telepathic communication.
His soldiers handed over the Interspatial Rings they had collected from the battlefield. Ye Liuyun inspected them and was surprised to find that these soldiers were remarkably wealthy. The resources a single soldier possessed were equivalent to the resources of a peak-level martial practitioner of the God Realm.
As for the commander’s Interspatial Ring, its contents rivaled those of a clan patriarch.
Ye Liuyun brought all his soldiers into his Spatial World and commanded all the soldiers in his Spatial World to prepare for battle.

But Ye Liuyun chuckled as he replied, "You’re free to die whenever or however you wish. However, please don’t tag along with us. I won’t be able to babysit you."

To avoid a futile confrontation, the commander calmly, yet quickly gave the order for the troops to withdraw from the campsite.
However, the Dark Legion closed in from both flanks, sealing off their escape routes.
The army was utterly dispersed as the war chariots, puppet creatures, and Devil Vine intensified their attack.
"Charge towards the city with all your might!"
Given the dire circumstances, the commander gave the order for all soldiers to charge towards the city to reunite with their reinforcements.
Together, Ye Liuyun and Manfeng were watching the battlefield from a distance.
"What an extraordinary man that commander is!" Manfeng praised.
"Can your praetorian stand against them?" Ye Liuyun inquired.
"Yes! We may be physically inferior, but we have the advantage in numbers. This is a great chance to train our troops!" Manfeng replied.
"You may proceed with it!" Ye Liuyun immediately released the fifty thousand troops under Manfeng’s command.
He noticed that although the Sanctuary Knights were in disarray, the commander’s orders had given them a clear direction. All of them were charging towards the city, putting significant pressure on the Dark Legion pursuing them.
Manfeng promptly led the fifty thousand praetorians to aid the Dark Legion.
Just then, Ye Tiandao returned with the ten thousand women they had rescued from the Sanctuary Knights’ captivity.

The people inside the city walls had no idea what was going on. They had no idea where they had come from and dared not haste decision when they met up with these towering Devil Clan.
After determining the size and strength of the forces around him, the base commander promptly communicated with the army in the city. "Don’t bother sending reinforcements. It’s futile. There are too many of them, and they are too powerful. The same destiny would await everybody who came here."
"Preserve our strength. I’ll lead my men to break through to the northwest of the base."
With that, he commanded and led his soldiers to charge toward the northwest.
It was the junction where Manfeng’s army and the Dark Legion were to meet.
