After all, the fighting strength of Ye Liuyun’s fifty-thousand-man army was impressive, if anything were to go wrong, they might both suffer great loss.

With such tools in hand, the mining progressed few times faster.
The hundred crossbows were distributed to the city’s guards as a weapon for city defence. In addition to being able to shoot constantly, the crossbows had a great range. It could travel two or three times the previous defensive range, much better than their previous bow and arrow range.
Moreover, it doesn’t waste manpower and can be driven by a few Alora Crystals.
Even more extravagant was the war chariot, which could carry 10 soldiers and was capable of firing crystal cannon from all directions in addition to having sturdy defence and quick speed.

In their last round of battle, they had depleted so much of their resources. Their self made weaponry proved insufficient for demand. He believed that once they improved their armor and weapon, their fighting power would increase
But he started to get haughty as his authority expanded. Rather of suggesting a deal with Ye Liuyun, he threathened him that he would not be allowed to mine or log should he fail to provide firearms.
He even dispatched a considerable force of Devil beastmen to the city outskirts as a sign of threat to Ye Liuyun.
Moreover, upon learning that Ye Liuyun had equipped his Beastmen with impressive weapons, the Devil Fox sent tens of thousands of soldiers to Ye Liuyun’s encampment.
