"This man in the black robe doesn’t have the Divine Soul strength of Qiong Qi," The clone informed Ye Liuyun after observing Mo Sang’s power closely. "On the other hand, he has a pair of scarlet phantom eyes in addition to his tremendous Divine spirit. The other one with weaker strength does not have it."
Ye Liuyun had initially intended to use his clone to control Mo Sang’s Divine soul, but he was now concerned that once his Divine soul departed, the Universal God Token would no longer protect it, increasing the risk of being controlled by Mo Sang.
Just as he was about to order his clone to destroy Mo Sang’s Divine soul with the black ray, Mo Sang decided not to prolong the standoff and released his Divine Soul towards Ye Liuyun.
With his Golden Phantom Eyes, Ye Liuyun could see that the Divine Soul assaulting him possessed a set of Scarlet Phantom Eyes.

"So, that’s your secret!" At that moment, he realised how Ye Liuyun could easily gain control over his two subordinates.

The man in the black robe spewed out a mouthful of blood.
"Use the black ray to destroy his other Divine soul! Don’t risk trying to subjugate him," Ye Liuyun notified his clone.
Hence, the clone shot out a beam of black ray from its eyes, annihilating his Divine Soul.
After studying his corpse with his Golden Phantom Eyes, he realised that the crimson in his pupils had disappeared.
Helplessly, Mo Sang bitterly smiled and said, "Ye Liuyun, without your artefact, you are not my match!"
Hearing his name being called, Ye Liuyun realized he was easily identified even when he was under disguise with Phantom Illusion.
Mo Sang showed no hint of surprise when he saw Ye Liuyun for the first time and recognised his Divine Soul.
That could only mean that the whole Revival Dynasty had known it was Ye Liuyun.
Driven by motivation to get to the bottom of the truth, Ye Liuyun braved another soul search attack.
There seemed to be some restrictions being placed onto Mo Sang’s disciple that hindered Ye Liuyun from getting the whole truth. He wondered if the same limitation also bound the black robe leader.

Hearing his words, Ye Liuyun didn’t launch an attack on him. Instead, he released Qiong Qi’s Divine Soul and asked him, "Are you from the Revival Dynasty?"
"Yes, I am Mo Sang. Other than the Revival Dynasty who would dispatch someone to assassinate you?" Mo Sang didn’t hesitate to admit.
Nonetheless, he remained tight-lipped when Ye Liuyun attempted to ask for more.
"If you want to know more, you have to stop absorbing my Divine Soul with your artefact. I will tell you!" Mo Sang began to negotiate with Ye Liuyun.

Just like how Mo Sang had warned, his divine soul collapsed right when Ye Liuyun began to conduct a Soul Search on him. His memories were wiped out. However, his divine soul power could still be absorbed by the Universal God Token.
Ye Liuyun allowed his clone to absorb Mo Sang’s divine soul power to replenish the power he had exhausted to emit the black ray.

He changed his appearance to deceive the Revival Dynasty.
