Zhao Mingcheng wasn’t even allowed to be part of the action.
Because of Zhao Mingcheng’s low cultivation level, she wouldn’t be much help anyway.
Ye Liuyun did not allow Zhao Mingcheng an opportunity to retort. "There are too many of them. Our only option is to sneak assault, targeting their strongest experts. Your low cultivation level might risk prematurely exposing our position," Ye Liuyun said.
The Zhao family’s elders concurred that Zhao Mingcheng shouldn’t take part in the ambush plan. They were more comfortable knowing Zhao Mingcheng stayed behind to lead the clan members.
The Zhao family elders even tried to prevent Ye Liuyun from joining the battle, fearing he would get hurt. However, under Zhao Mingcheng’s assurance, the elders reluctantly agreed to let Ye Liuyun join the battle.
Zhao Mingcheng had no option but to be transported into the Spatial World by Ye Liuyun, along with the other martial practitioners of the eighth and below levels.
Those who remained outside the Spatial World were Ye Liuyun, the twelve martial practitioners of the Zhao Clan, the thirteen martial practitioners that were controlled by Ye Liuyun and four other individuals including Liu Yang.
"I will handle the Intermediate ninth-level martial practitioners and Chen Batian, while Liu Yang and the Zhao family martial practitioners will deal with the Seventh and eighth-level martial practitioners. All thirteenth of you with an intermediate ninth realm will be tasked with eliminating martial practitioners of primary and intermediate ninth level,”
Ye Liuyun assigned tasks to everyone and had the enslaved martial practitioners manifest a map of the harbour vicinity with genuine energy. With it, he managed to set a practical plan and coordinate the attack routes and timing.
When he was done setting the plan, they moved out to the harbour at the fastest speed.
Within two days, his clone had elevated his skills in the later part of the Jiuyou Song. He even practised it with Pang Ren, who had successfully become a Devil Cultivator.
When he was done with it, he emerged from the Xuanking Stone draped in the Concealcape. With his Spatial Folding technique, he reached the harbour before everybody.
Ye Liuyun’s Divine Soul was extremely powerful at this point, and he realized that a team of scouts from the harbour was monitoring their progress.
Instead of killing these scouts, he proceeded along with everyone else, misleading the harbour’s scouts about their arrival time.
All the martial practitioners at the harbour were in standby mode ready for battle. Upon learning Ye Liuyun’s party consisted of only thirty men, a wave of relief washed over them.
The night before Ye Liuyun and his party arrived, the martial practitioners at the harbour were still having a banquet.

None of them was bound by any Soul Contract, hence, he could easily imprint them with the Slaving Seal without Chen Batian’s knowledge.
The martial practitioners were feasting heartily, enjoying their drinks in the company of numerous women for their amusement. Therefore, when Ye Liuyun’s clone made his move, he would not draw any attention if he was careful enough.
Every time he enslaved a martial practitioner, he would let them carry on with their feasting and merriment as usual. By the time the banquet ended, all of the intermediate ninth-level martial practitioners had already been enslaved by Ye Liuyun’s clone.
He didn’t have the time to bother himself with the primary ninth-level martial practitioner and moved straight to the advanced ninth-level martial practitioner.
He chose his target according to how close they were to him for his convenience.
Thus, even if his plan was discovered by Chen Batian eventually, he would have enslaved as many martial practitioners as he could.
As for other experts, he had no intention to enslave them. He used his poison on them and made sure that the poison took effect slowly.
So that when Ye Liuyun arrived, he could activate the poison in them, preventing Chen Batian’s escape.

He guessed that the reason Ye Liuyun was able to effortlessly enslave a martial practitioner was because of his invisible help.
He had suspected that Ye Liuyun would dispatch the invisible person to set up an ambush in advance, so he readied himself with a treasured item that could locate the position of an invisible person. However, whenever activated, its effect wouldn’t last long and would greatly exhaust his energy.
Therefore, Chen Batian could not keep the treasure item working all the time. He could only wait until he detected the invisible person before using it.
As soon as he sensed the disappearance of one of his martial practitioner’s Divine Soul contracts, he immediately used the treasure item and located the clone’s position.
At this moment, he was already holding a ninth-level bow aiming in the clone’s direction.

Chen Batian wanted to trap the clone by sealing the void, but he didn’t expect that Ye Liuyun’s spatial Force would be stronger, breaking through the seal easily.
"Damn it, he escaped!" Chen Batain watched as the clone escaped, unable to do anything to stop him.
The clone was reluctant to kill him directly, fearing that it may awaken the Devil clan’s Divine soul. Otherwise, he wouldn’t take his attack and wouldn’t use his Golden Phantom eyes to attack him.
