His objective was to control all those martial practitioners, trying his best not to kill them.

"That is... who are you exactly?" Xu Mulin finished his question and intently stared at Ye Liuyun. He appeared as if he was ready to unleash his attack. He even exerted his energy pressure on Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun made a slight smile, "Since you’ve known the answer, why ask? Regardless of who I am, I’ve cooperated with your investigation to the best of my ability. Are you still unsatisfied?"
Even then, Xu Mulin kept his friendly smile and replied to Ye Liuyun, "I am satisfied indeed. However, since the matter has occurred on your end and you are a fake city lord, suspicions are inevitable. Why don’t you come back with me to Regalty and explain this King of God yourself?"
With a slow shake of his head, Ye Liuyun said, "I’m afraid you can’t make me go to Regalty with you!"

Seeing their emotionless faces looking at him, he couldn’t help but be startled.
He instantly realized that his men had been controlled, and he’d been left alone!

Xu Mulin finally dropped his smile and began to reprimand Ye Liuyun.
Just as he was about to take out his Sound Transmission Talisman to call for reinforcements from the Dynasty, Ye Liuyun’s clone shot a white ray right at his head.
Xu Mulin was killed on the spot. It was hard to believe that a ninth-level martial practitioner was slain without having the chance to communicate with anyone.
