Lu Yi was speechless by his retort.
Betraying the sect, and dismissing status, was a disgraceful act to any martial practitioner.
Although Ye Liuyun entered the Northsky Sect in disguise, he had truly made contributions to the sect.
With his current status, the Northsky Sect had no reason to expel Ye Liuyun. That would be seen as turning against him.
If Ye Liuyun dared to take on the Alliance of Merchants, who’s to say that in a fit of anger, he wouldn’t send his troops to flatten the Northsky Sect?
So even though Lu Yi knew that Ye Liuyun was deliberately clinging to the Northsky Sect, he was powerless against his decision.

Jin Qingsong was unable to react immediately. He kept praising Ye Liuyun for not forgetting his true intention even after being an Overlord.
Most of the Elders and disciples of the sect thought the same as Jin Qingsong.

Lu Yi communicated with Elder Kurong, explaining the intricate relationship in the hopes that he would intervene and halt the proceeding.
But Elder Kurong responded, "With so many people supporting him, how can I stop them? Isn’t that just blatantly asking for a standoff? Since Northsky Sect is already bound on the same side with him, just let it be! As long as he does not harm the Northsky Sect, I don’t see any issue."
"About his intention to target the Alliance of Merchants, let’s see how things pan out before we decide. He might not be able to do it!"
Upon hearing his rationale, Lu Yi had no choice but to go along with everyone else’s opinion.
Hence, Northsky Sect immediately announced their decision, crowning Ye Liuyun as the first Northsky Sect of Northsky Sect.
Ye Liuyun also responded that he would join forces with Northsky Sect in the future.
The news quickly reached the Alliance of Merchants. Even they couldn’t confirm whether or not the downfall of the Eastern Royal Management was premeditated by the Northsky Sect.
They couldn’t even verify if Murong Tian’s death was related to the Northsky Sect.
However, it was clear that Ye Liuyun had eliminated Murong Tian and ousted the Alliance of Merchants’s influence from Northsky Sect.
However, the Alliance of Merchants couldn’t retaliate against Ye Liuyun because of this.
Because it was by his support that allowed Northsky Sect to aid the Eastern Royal Management. Moreover, Murong Tian was killed during his attack on Ye Liuyun.
