After the Dark Legion announcer finished his speech, the troop began to retreat and pursued the fleeing defeated soldiers. The forefront troops remained behind to take control of the city.
Behind the Hidden Mist City, the sound of battle cries filled the air. The defeated army had fallen into Yu Xiaofeng’s trap.
"Alright, everyone can fully relax now!" Ye Liuyun announced, leading the Northsky Sect and the city guards down from the city wall.
"Let’s eat to our hearts today to celebrate the end of the battle. Once they open a path for us, we will withdraw immediately," Ye Liuyun said to the disciples of the Northsky Sect.
"What if they break their promise and attack us?" some elders and disciples were concerned.
"Don’t worry. Should that happen, I, Mr Yu Jian, and some other martial practitioners will stay with their leader to escort you all. Once you have successfully left, we will then leave." Ye Liuyun reassured the crowd.
Regardless of whether the others could celebrate or not, he started to enjoy the meal with Li Xingrou and Liu Xing.
Mr. Yu Jian, knowing his status, was relieved and relaxed with some other elders.
Others admired Ye Liuyun’s sacrifical attitude, hailing him. They declared he was unquestionably the potential next sacred disciple of the Northsky Sect.

He intended to return to his army and overthrow the Eastern Royal Management entirely. He would then deal with the Northsky Sect and Alliance of Merchants. He would decide later on based on their attitude toward his advance.
Liu Xing and Li Xingrou weren’t clear about what Ye Liuyun meant by stating there wasn’t a need for him to stay. All they knew was that Ye Liuyun was extremely private. He requested them to keep it a secret for the time being, and they obliged.
The next morning, Ye Liuyun received news from Yu Xiaofeng that he could lead the disciples of the Northsky Sect away from there.
Ye Liuyun led a group of Northsky Sect elders, city Lords, city guard commanders, and skilled martial practitioners toward the Dark Legion camp.
The remaining elders led the disciples of the Northsky Sect in their departure. Those defeated soldiers who chose to leave followed behind them.
After yesterday’s battlefield, they didn’t see any corpses despite the ground being covered in blood. It was somehow terrifying them.
The Dark Legion armies stood still on both sides, staring at them like the grim reapers. It was so intimidating that they avoided any eye contact.

"These martial practitioners are for you, manage them well!" Ye Liuyun instructed He Lianxiu to organise the martial practitioners from the Hidden Mist City.
"Guards!" He Lianxiu signalled the soldiers to come and bring them to their quarters.
The soldiers who entered saluted Ye Liuyun, who was in the main chair before they obliged He Lianxiu’s instructions to escort the individuals present for resettlement.
Ye Liuyun then spoke to Mr. Yu Jian, "When you return, help me arrange a discussion with Lu Yi. I need to know whether the Northsky Sect wants to be our ally or our enemy. I need a definite answer."
"Yes!" Mr. Yu Jian agreed immediately and followed the Northsky Sect team.
The only person still inside the tent was Li Xingrou. She stared at Ye Liuyun, utterly dumbfounded and at a loss for words.
She now had no value to the Eastern Royal Management and was of no use to Ye Liuyun either. She was worried Ye Liuyun would find her a burden and kill her.
Ye Liuyun considered the same at the time. Instead of making the effort to help Li Xingrou overcome her addiction, it might be much simpler to just kill her off.
But at that moment, Li Xingrou was submissive to Ye Liuyun and could not defend herself. Hence, Ye Liuyun had little motive to murder her.

He then used his artefact wings and dashed towards Meadowtopia ahead of the others.
