"Could your stronger divine soul communicate with it?" Ye Liuyun asked.
"I can’t communicate with it! It only regards you as its master, it won’t want to communicate with me! If I force a connection, it might attack me... and I’m not sure if I can withstand its attack!" The Book Demon explained to Ye Liuyun.
"Well, let it be then! It’s better for you two to live in harmony!" Ye Liuyun gave up this idea. Even if Book Demon could withstand the attack of the Universal God Token, he wouldn’t entice Book Demon to try it.
He thought to himself, "Originally, Li Yuanlang’s Divine Sense came out from this Universal God Token. Was he the one who created this Token?"
"Impossible, he was merely a former user. His strength is far from capable of creating the Universal God Token!" Book Demon seemed to read Ye Liuyun’s thoughts and chatted with him directly.
"You can know what I’m thinking?" Ye Liuyun the Book Demon in surprise.
"Of course! My Divine Soul power is much stronger than yours! But rest assured, I won’t pry into things I shouldn’t know... You have so many women!"
"Shouldn’t that be classified as something you shouldn’t know?" Ye Liuyun awkwardly replied.
Having a too-powerful follower seemed to have its cons as well.

Book Demon pretended to cough a few times to mask his embarrassment.
In reality, he had thoroughly explored Ye Liuyun’s Ocean of Consciousness.
For the time being, Ye Liuyun had to trust him.
Suddenly, he felt a void under his feet and a blur in front of his eyes. The tower beneath his feet had vanished!
Only Ye Liuyun remained, standing in the void.
Ye Liuyun looked about. Everything has gone back to normal. He was no longer in a frozen space and time.
"If I learnt how to stop time, wouldn’t I be invincible?" He mused to himself.
The Book Demon seemed to sense his thoughts and swiftly dampened his spirit. "Mastering the power of time is the most difficult task! I recommend that you do not set unrealistic goals and first focus on improving your Spatial Force. Furthermore, gaining time control does not make you invincible! At least for the time being, you would have no chance against me, let alone those formidable practitioners!"
"How powerful are those practitioners?" Ye Liuyun asked.
He believed the epitome of power was only as strong as Li Yuanlang, the War God.
"There are plenty who are stronger than him!" the Book Demon candidly responded.
Ye Liuyun felt helpless and speechless. The Book Demon appeared to be sensing all of his thoughts. Did this imply he no longer had privacy?
"That’s because you asked me! I couldn’t care less about matters that have nothing to do with me!" the Book Demon replied to Ye Liuyun’s train of thought.
"Alright! Do not interfere with matters that do not concern you. As your master, even temporarily. Shouldn’t I at least have this right?" Ye Liuyun questioned.
The Book Demon hesitated briefly before responding, "How petty! I’m not a human, you know! But fine, I grant your request!"
Only then did Ye Liuyun heaved a sigh of relief.
At that moment, the elders waiting for Ye Liuyun in the Grand hall started bustling with excitement.
"Smart lad! He is out!"
"Where did the tower go? Did he store it away?"
"I don’t think so. It looked like it was heading out of the secret realm. Plus, his expression when he exited seemed rather bewildered!"
"I wonder what treasures lie within that tower, and whether he has obtained them."
"He entered two days ago, hardly enough time to do that! But then again, without obtaining the treasures, why did the tower disappear?"
Everyone was guessing eagerly, as they waited for Ye Liuyun to come out and ask him about it in detail.
Those elders who had their sights set on Ye Liuyun were quietly preparing, gathering speech and resources to win him over.
Next, Ye Liuyun didn’t wander about but stayed exactly where he was, waiting to be teleported away.
After discovering the tower’s disappearance, the feral beasts surveyed its surroundings. However, the tower’s influence was so strong that none of it dared to approach it directly. They were all watching Ye Liuyun, observing his movement.
With little time left, Elder Kurong decided to return to his cave and wait for Ye Liuyun to emerge, as he had no other places to explore.
Up until now, he had been extremely pleased with Ye Liuyun’s performance.
The more he observed Ye Liuyun, he realised that he could have succeeded even before joining Northsky Sect, given his ability. He had the potential to become a powerful leader.
With this, he was doubtful about Ye Liuyun’s intentions for coming to Northsky Sect.
By any measure, Ye Liuyun was more powerful than their first sacred disciple of the Northsky Sect without taking into account his level. His superiority over their disciples was most apparent in his wisdom.
His suspicions of Ye Liuyun grew as he continued to think about it. He would not be able to rest easy until he had investigated Ye Liuyun completely. After much deliberation, he chose to return early to intercept Ye Liuyun.
Back in the cave, Elder Kurong thought, "From his way of doing things, even if he has a plot, it’s sure to be foolproof. It would be challenging to get any information out of him!"
"His Divine Soul is powerful enough. If I probe his Divine Soul carefully enough, I shouldn’t affect him much."
"Right, that’s what I will do. If he disagrees, it means he’s hiding something! Even if his aptitude is excellent, Northsky Sect can’t accept him!"
With this in mind, Elder Kurong prepared some of his items for Divine Soul cultivation. If Ye Liuyun allowed him to conduct a soul search, then he would compensate Ye Liuyun to avoid resentment from him.
Disputes broke out among the other Elders after Elder Kurong departed the Grand Hall. They were all competing to recruit Ye Liuyun as a disciple. The tempers of a few even flared to the point that they started fighting.
In desperation, Yao Donglai took a stand. "Remember what Elder Kuong said. Make your conditions known, and let him make his decision!"
As Ye Liuyun fought off inquisitive wild monsters, he thought back on his performance after entering the secret realm and tried to find out if there were any loopholes.
The treasures he had obtained could not be known.
For the places where he might have overperformed, he had already thought of a good reason as cover.
"I wonder if Elder Kurong will still be there? How will he treat me?"
Then, Ye Liuyun thought of the Elder Kurong’s transforming state before he left. He even began rehearsing in his mind how to deal with Elder Kurong when he met him later.
He wouldn’t be caught off guard if Elder Kurong tried to hurt him.
As time went by, the feral beasts in the area grew impatient and started to advance on him.
However, Ye Liuyun imposed an intimidating Divine Soul, scaring them all away.
After a brief ten days, Ye Liuyun sensed a Spatial Force transporting him out of the secret realm.
Following the dissipation of the enclosing spatial force, Ye Liuyun found himself back on the array formation within the cave.
And Elder Kurong was standing there, watching him.
