Chapter 2017: Chapter 2017 Settled All of Them

At this moment, Ye Liuyun worked with his clone to defeat two other martial practitioners at the Eighth Realm.

Ye Liuyun then spiritually communicated to Feng Hongxiu, "The space will open soon and I’ll take out all the Eighth Realm martial practitioners. You handle the rest, then I’ll assist with the others."

"Really?" Feng Hongxiu found it somewhat unbelievable, "What about Jyang Yuan?"

"Already killed by me!" Ye Liuyun replied through spiritual communication.

"You killed him?" Feng Hongxuiu was somewhat incredulous.

"Yeah, if I killed him, shouldn’t Scarlet Cardinal House refund me? Besides, I saved you too, didn’t I?" Ye Liuyun spoke with a trace of amusement, directing his question at Feng Hongxiu.

Upon hearing this, Feng Hongxiu curiously regarded Ye Liuyun. She just figured Ye Liuyun appeared too relaxed, showing no signs of tension at all.

"Are you out of your mind? You’re bringing this up now?" she asked.

Ye Liuyun just chuckled and continued to observe the situation within the space.

At this time, the remaining martial practitioner of the Eighth Realm suddenly spoke up, "Guys, if we keep waiting, we’ll all die! Why don’t we fight him together, take advantage of the fact that there’s no Divine Soul contract?"

He realised that the martial practitioners Jyang Yuan had killed were in the Eighth Realm. He reckoned he’d be next, so he decided to rally everyone to rebel together.

No one reacted, however. They weren’t foolish either, they could tell that Jyang Yuan was targeting all the Eighth Realm martial practitioners.

Moreover, a spirit master’s Divine Soul Force is formidable. Even an initial-level Eighth Realm martial practitioner wouldn’t be able to resist it. Nobody would gamble their very own Divine Soul to rise against him.

Even if they were to attack Jyang Yuan’s Divine Soul together, they weren’t sure if they could escape this space. Furthermore, some of their family members were still controlled by Jyang Yuan, and they didn’t want to rebel.

Seeing that nobody responded, the Eighth Realm martial practitioner walked toward Ye Liuyun. He surmised that if Jyang Yuan intended to capture Ye Liuyun alive, he could use the latter to threaten the former.

Yet, before he could take his second step, the Divine Soul of both Ye Liuyun and his clone dragged his Divine Soul out.

With a ’thump,’ the body collapsed to the ground, causing shivers to run down everyone’s spines.

Later, in Ye Liuyun’s Ocean of Consciousness, the Divine Soul Force that was absorbed by the Universal God Token was given to the clone to replenish its energy.

"Get ready, it’s about to open!" Ye Liuyun reminded Feng Hongxiu through spiritual communication.

Indeed, as soon as Ye Liuyun was done speaking, the space that had enlarged due to the carriage hood began to slowly lift from the ground.

It was then that Ye Liuyun let Feng Hongxiu go, allowing her to start her action.

He also released the martial practitioners around himself, asking them to pick their opponents and start the attack.

With the absence of the Eighth Realm martial practitioners and the presence of all these people around Ye Liuyun assisting her, it was much easier for Feng Hongxiu to handle these martial practitioners.

Feng Hongxiu, sparing no genuine energy, aimed the Death’s Whisper Throwing Spikes at all those martial practitioners in her way, piercing them to death right away.

Now devoid of the control from Jyang Yuan’s Divine Soul contract, these martial practitioners did not resist at all. Once the carriage hood was lifted, they all started to scatter and flee.

Ye Liuyun commanded his people to surround them on three sides, leaving one side to Feng Hongxiu.

Then, he, along with his clone, just kept launching Divine Soul Attacks, absorbing Divine Soul Forces, and collecting the bodies of martial practitioners.

The intense battle lasted less than a half hour, with over half of Ye Liuyun’s people dead or wounded, while the enemy was far more devastated.

Some martial practitioners broke out of the encirclement, but Ye Liuyun didn’t bother to chase. Feng Hongxiu, however, swiftly pursued them.

Ye Liuyun knew that she couldn’t recover all of the escapees alone, so he ignored her and began cleaning up the battlefield instead.

The clone first put the shrunken carriage hood, then only kept both the carriage frame and the Dragophant in the Spatial World, planning to bring them back for He Lianxiu to use in battles.

As for the bodies of the martial practitioners, they were left for Blue Morning to deal with. The pair of Gilded Armour was then given to Fyeng Wanru and Yuer respectively.

The rest of the martial practitioners were also collected by Ye Liuyun into his Spatial World. Except for Mo Hai and Bai Sha, Ye Liuyun planned to induct the others into the Blade Legion.

The last ones to deal with were the two mid-stage Eighth Realm martial practitioners in Jyang Yuan’s Interspatial Ring.

With Jyang Yuan’s death, the Divine Soul contract controlling them disappeared as well. They too knew by now that Jyan Yuan was gone.

They were also guessing that if a lower realm martial practitioner got the Interspatial Ring, their hopes of attaining freedom would be even smaller, as those martial practitioners would be too fearful to release them.

And if a powerful martial practitioner got the Interspatial Ring, they guessed the other wouldn’t be much stronger than them, and that martial practitioner would definitely launch a Divine Soul Attack to make them sign a new Divine Soul contract again.

Therefore the pair had already planned. As soon as anyone’s Divine Soul dared to enter this storage space, they would jointly subdue them.

Ye Liuyun was also aware that the Divine Souls of these two were not weak. After all, they were expert with high realms. Even though he and his clone had strong Divine Souls, they didn’t want to waste energy contending with them.

He and his clone exchanged a glance, signaling for the latter to step back a bit and hide its form. Ye Liuyun himself then prepared his wings for defense.

Now he had three layers of protective shield, the wings, the Devil Dragon Armour, and the Gilded Armour, which could theoretically withstand an attack from the martial practitioner.

After all preparations were made, Ye Liuyun suddenly released one of the martial practitioners.

The martial practitioner immediately realised that he had a chance to escape. Yet, he was just released and was not sure of Ye Liuyun’s position, so he could only utilise his genuine energy, sweeping in all directions and simultaneously defending himself.

The martial practitioner in the middle stage of the Eighth Realm, even without focusing his attack, had his genuine energy explode like a miniature sun, filled with terrifying energy enough to make Ye Liuyun exert full strength for its resistance.

Moreover, Ye Liuyun had to not only defend against the martial practitioner’s attack with all his might, but also work with his clone to launch a Divine Soul Attack on that practitioner’s Ocean of Consciousness.

The martial cultivator was well-prepared too. As he burst forth his genuine energy, his Divine Soul had already sprinted out of his Ocean of Consciousness.

Thus, the Divine Soul Attacks of both the clone and Ye Liuyun missed their mark.

The martial practitioner’s Divine Soul only found Ye Liuyun’s location but was unable to locate his clone. Without wasting time, the former’s Divine Soul charged straight toward Ye Liuyun’s Ocean of Consciousness.

At this point, Ye Liuyun, propelled by the martial practitioner’s burst of genuine energy, was sprawled out on the ground. Before he could even catch his breath, the martial practitioner’s Divine Soul had already plunged into his Ocean of Consciousness.

"Ha, walking right into a trap! D*mn, if I had known this, I wouldn’t have spent so much effort!"

Ye Liuyun instantly implanted a Slaving Seal onto the martial practitioner’s Divine Soul, chased it out, and then withdrew his Divine Soul along with his clone’s.

What remained became a simpler task. The combined forces of three Divine Souls from both Ye Liuyun and his clone rushed in again, planting another Slaving Seal on the martial practitioner.

When that martial practitioner’s companion was cast out, he knew that his odds of survival were slim to none. Regardless of who won and lost, he couldn’t escape his fate of being controlled by someone else.

However, he had no courage of suicide and could only wait for Ye Liuyun to subjugate him.

Only after stabilising his churning blood and energy did Ye Liuyun ask for their names.

"Jin Hui."

"Ning Fei."

Both respectfully answered Ye Liuyun.
