Chapter 1936: Chapter 1936 Stopping Mid-way
Mu Lianqing immediately reported the information of his brother’s return to Ye Liuyun.
Ye Liuyun also departed immediately from the Alliance back to the Lins’, along with Lin Luoyi and Lin Xiyao.
Before returning to the Lin family, Ye Liuyun rushed directly to Mu Lianshi’s route returning to the city in order to stop him on time.
Lin Luoyi and Lin Xiyao, on the other hand, went straight back to the Lin family.
Mu Lianqing also left the city at the same time with the two bodyguards and his own men in a flying vessel, heading towards Mu Lianshi on his journey.
He contacted Mu Lianshi before leaving, informing him their time and location of where they will be meeting.
Ye Liuyun drove in a flying vessel too, trying to maintain the distance between his and Mu Lianqing’s. He ordered 4 of Ye Tiandao’s men to follow along him in the regalty praetorian’s uniforms.
The Mu brothers constantly updated their coordinates with each other throughout the journey, just that Mu Lianqing gave away Ye Liuyun’s coordinates instead of his own.
Three days later, Ye Liuyun finally met with Mu Lianshi’s flying vessel.
He transformed into Mu Lianqing’s appearance with Phantom Illusion before he arrived at the spot, better for him to approach his brother later on.
Both of them packed away their flying vessel and came down to meet.
Mu Lianshi only brought two bodyguards surprisingly.
"Lianshi!"
"Lianqing!"
Ye Liuyun gave Mu Lianshi a huge hug under the disguise as Mu Lianqing, and used Astral Translocation to take down his defense jewellery onto his own armour.
As the two separated, the pendant on Mu Lianshi’s chest got tangled up on Ye Liuyun’s armor.
"Why did you bring back only two guards?" Ye Liuyun asked as he pretended to untangle the pendant from himself.
"Don’t worry, I brought back two of level six middle stage devil beasts along with me!" Mu Lianshi smiled.
Suddenly, his Divine Soul felt excruciating pain in his Ocean of Consciousness, and the Divine Sense stored in the pendant was wiped out.
As he was looking at Ye Liuyun in bewilderment, his Divine Soul charged into Mu Lianshi’s Ocean of Consciousness and planting a Slaving Seal on him right away.
His 4 men also began making their moves on Mu Lianshi’s bodyguards.
But they both were sharp and vigilant, each of them sent two devil beasts of level 5 middle stage.
Despite their small number, they indeed had taken extensive precautions.
These beasts were fairly powerful, taking down all 4 of Ye Liuyun’s man in just a move.
Ye Liuyun sent out Ye Tian Dao, Lei Ming, and his other men to besiege the two guards and the beasts. Simultaneously, he launched an attack, obliterating the Divine Soul of the two guards, and placing a Slaving Seal on the four beasts.
"Lianqing, what is this..." Mu Lianshi looked at his brother in utter confusion.
Ye Liuyun revealed himself in the same second.
Mu Lianshi was startled, "What kind of sorcery is this? It is too deceiving! If he pretended to be me and infiltrated the royal palace, Father..."
He didn’t even dare to continue the thought.
"Master!"
However, under the control of the Seal, he could only submit.
"You’re quite smart to have thought of this! But don’t you worry, I won’t kill you or your father,"
Ye Liuyun assured Mu Lianshi as he put his pendant onto his own neck. Then he instructed Ye Tiandao and another of his man to put on the bodyguards’ clothes.
He then fed the bodies to the beasts, and had Mu Lianshi release his own two beasts and let him put on his Slaving Seal on them as well.
One of them was a Bull Lion, and the other a Demonic Wolf, both at the mid-stage of the Sixth Level.
The other four level 5 middle-stage beasts were a gigantic Anaconda, a tiny praying mantis, a double-headed eagle and an antelope that could launch Divine Soul attacks.
"This lineup is quite good!" Ye Liuyun nodded approvingly, keeping all of them away.
Having these beasts, along with the ones left with Ye Tiandao, Ye Liuyun would have more confidence to enter the royal palace.
Soon after, Ye Liuyun took everyone back to the Spatial World and kept Mu Lianshi in his Interspatial Ring. He put on a disguise as Mu Lianshi before heading back in his flying vessel along with his disguised men.
"We need to find a way to get rid of those two Sixth Level mid-stage guards!" Ye Liuyun instructed Mu Lianqing through the Seal.
"Both of them have Divine Soul defense treasures!"
"No worries, we will have a drink later when we meet. Bring them along and I will deal with them."
They were not too far apart, and met up after a few hours. Ye Liuyun brought his men and boarded Mu Lianqing’s flying vssel.
Mu Lianqing insisted on getting Mu Lianshi over to drink along with the guards.
Of course, the two guards dared not drink with them, but Ye Liuyun called them over.
"I often have meals with my soldiers back at the camp. You’re my father’s guard, there’s no need to be so shy, come have a drink together! We still have a few days of journey ahead, it would be boring anyways."
They finally sat down under Ye Liuyun’s sincere persuasion.
He started to talk about the current war situation with Mu Lianqing, sighing long and short on their concerns of defense at the South.
Suddenly, a martial practitioner’s face changed drastically.
"Oh no, I’ve been poisoned!"
He yelled as he took out a detox elixir and swallowed it down.
The other three checked themselves, but Ye Liuyun and Mu Lianqing showed no signs of being poisoned.
The other guard also quickly swallowed a detox elixir.
"Is it the wine?" Ye Liuyun held his wine and looked at Mu Lianqing.
"That can’t be! I’ve been drinking it too!" Mu Lianqing had no idea how Ye Liuyun made his move, and looked into his wine.
"Hurry up and inform father, everyone be alert!"
Mu Lianqing also quickly reported the situation with his Sound Transmission Talisman.
But it wasn’t the Emperor that he reported to, but Mu Lianshi.
The two guards, seeing that Mu Lianqing had already reported the situation, didn’t feel the need to repeat it and began to refine more detox elixirs.
But what they didn’t expect was that the poison within them was acting so swiftly, even the detox elixir seemed unable to suppress it. Fortunately, their cultivation levels were high, so they could temporarily hold on.

The two bodyguards could not hold on any longer and dropped to the floor one after another, turning into a pool of dark water in no time.
