"According to the combat methods I taught, divide yourselves into two groups and duel! This time, you may use your Genuine Energy. Fight until I stop you! Unlimited to death and injury."
Every single soldier’s mind went on high alert the moment they heard his instruction.
While the soldiers fought, Ye Liuyun would occasionally call for breaks to point out their mistakes and instruct corrections.
It wasn’t until the first soldier was shot to death during the combat that Ye Liuyun called for a halt.
The combatants turned around and marched back to their queue when Ye Liuyun ordered them to. But before they could reach their queue, they were called back to the scene by Ye Liuyun.
"This slain comrade laying here was a companion whose life and death you shared, a brother that would take a blade for you," he said, pointing at the body on the ground. "Did you plan to just leave him here by himself?"
"Moreover, he is carrying supplies. As long as you’re not in an immediate life-or-death battle, you should take time to recover your teammate’s body. His supplies should also be divided among you to continue his fight."
Without delay, the two teammates collected his body and divided the supplies of his Interspatial Ring between them.

"Yes!" all the soldiers shouted in unison.
The battle drill continued and casualties were rampant. After everyone had gone through a round of combat, Ye Liuyun still had over 300 excess men to be eliminated in his troop.
Ye Liuyun reorganised them into several groups, appointing interim squad commanders based on the strength of the teams with a hundred men each.
By now, they had gone through five days of intensive training.
"Everyone, we will return to the city to cultivate and receive new equipment! We are scheduled to leave in two days on a mission to exterminate bandits. I will no longer eliminate anyone as long as nobody breaks the rules." Ye Liuyun declared to his troop.
"Hurray!" The remaining soldiers all cheered in jubilation.
"Ye Liuyun, the rules in praetorian forbid a team to exceed three thousand people," Xiao Yunfang reminded Ye Liuyun.
"Rules are made by humans. Isn’t it okay if I reserve three hundred people in advance? After all, if my soldier dies in the battle, I’ll have to go through recruitment again to select soldiers to fill in the gap!"
Ye Liuyun disregarded the rules he considered trivial. He commanded his troops straight back towards the city. This time, he allowed them to utilise genuine energy on their way back to the city so they could return at maximum speed.
On their way back to the city, Ye Liuyun did not need to give command and his troop ran quietly.
Xiao Yunfang was taken aback too. Normally so casual and unruly, these troops obeyed Ye Liuyun without complaint.
In addition, there was a definite determination in each soldier’s gaze, tinged with a hint of ferocious aura.
She couldn’t imagine what his group would achieve if Ye Liuyun led them for a longer period!
Even when all of them had reached the city, they did not disband before Ye Liuyun gave his instruction.
"You can disperse now, I’m going to fetch your equipment!"

"Why don’t you treat me to a meal when I return from rooting out the bandits," Ye Liuyun suggested cheerfully.
"Hmph! You’re loaded yet you’re always picking on me! You promised to take me out," Xuan Yuanling pouted.
"Alright, when I come back from uprooting the bandits and looting their supplies, I’ll take you out so you can treat me to a nice meal. But now I have to go! I can’t defy military orders or I’ll be executed," Ye Liuyun said, chuckling.
"Deal, I’ll wait for you. As soon as you get back, come find me," Xuan Yuanling stipulated.
"Sure!" Ye Liuyun agreed and quickly left Mystique Mart.
Upon returning, he went to meet He Linfeng right away to inform him about the preliminary reservation of three hundred soldiers.
"I expected casualty losses after rooting out the bandits, so the reserved soldiers were to fill in those slots," Ye Liuyun explained.

"Thank you, Commander!" Ye Liuyun happily expressed his gratitude. Then, he went back to his troop to delegate to them the supplies he got them.
Moreover, he did it publicly, in front of all the Praetorians, garnering envious and admiring glances from them.
Those who had not persisted in training earlier were filled with regret upon seeing them receiving their luxury resources.
"Why do you want to distribute the supplies in such an obnoxious manner?" Xiao Yunfang asked, not understanding.
"To make others envious and instil a sense of pride in my army!" Ye Liuyun answered nonchalantly.
After distributing the supplies, Ye Liuyun led his team back to their camp.
"You will all be resting and recovering here before our departure. Please feel free to approach me if you have any questions or queries about the formations. I’ll be sharing the lodging with all of you."
Ye Liuyun stayed in the camp solely to accompany Man Shu and the others.
Some of the soldiers were practising, some trained to improve collaboration among others, while some were chit-chatting, getting to know their teammates better.
Ye Liuyun left them be and gathered with Lei Ming and the others for a barbeque meal.
"You’ve all worked hard the last few days!" It wasn’t until now Ye Liuyun thought of appeasing them.
He had been strict with them as his other soldiers during the training.
"It’s not hard at all. We all agreed that it was a good training!" Man Shu replied on behalf of everyone.
"However, you are not suitable for formation battle. It is a waste of your combat ability. The training was merely to allow you to feel it, and that was enough. I shall make modifications, giving you the tasks of scouting and raiding!"
"Mmm, I like these kinds of tasks!" Lei Ming agreed with a nod.
The day before departure, Ye Liuyun made some adjustments to the formations, assigning Lei Ming and the others the duties of scouting and raiding.
