Chapter 1789: Chapter 1789 Work Alone
Time flies.
In the blink of an eye, a month and a half had passed, marking the halfway point of their journey. It was now time for them to rest and resupply.
Everyone had advanced to the early third-tier stage, with no one left behind. Their overall strength had significantly improved.
Ye Liuyun’s previously refined pills were now more than half consumed.
Although they still had a good stock of Alora Crystals, they had run out of Divine Crystals.
Ye Liuyun decided to find a trading center to sell the pills, exchange them for some herbs, and acquire more Divine Crystals.
Lei Ming and the others were eager for some action. After weeks of confinement, they were itching to stretch their limbs and seek out some excitement.
Their journey plan accommodated this desire, as the area near the rest stop was teeming with bandit gangs, providing ample opportunities for resource acquisition.
To Ye Liuyun’s delight, before reaching their destination, they received a local map from Xiao Yunfang.
The map marked potential targets for raids with red circles, the larger the circle, the stronger the target.
Xiao Yunfang sent the map to encourage them to be self-sufficient and not burden her.
But Zhang Wencai forwarded this map to them, mainly because he considered Ye Luoyun capable enough to engage in these looting escapades.
Ye Liuyun promptly requested to act independently upon arrival.
Zhang Wencai understood his intentions and agreed instantly.
The others were to follow Zhang Wencai and Pei Yong in search of resources.
Their flying vessel docked in the garrison of the local lord’s mansion.
Xiao Yunfang disembarked and announced, "You have ten days. We depart immediately after that, no delays."
With that, she led her 3,000-strong praetorian guard out of the city.
Ye Liuyun intended to visit a merchant association first but, concerned that Xiao Yunfang might target the largest bandit group, he hurried out of the city and deployed his fourth-tier flying vessel to reach it first.
The map indicated the largest bandit group with a big red circle. Upon arrival, Ye Liuyun found a thousand-strong gang.
Without hesitation, he unleashed the Devil Vine and his companions, initiating the attack.
Now unconstrained, they used their full power.
Even valuables were utilized and they continued honing their skills.
The bandits included a martial practitioner in the early fourth tier.
Ye Liuyun engaged him briefly before teaming up with his clone to overwhelm and devour the martial practitioner’s Divine Soul.
He then sparred with several late third-tier martial practitioners.
After everyone had their fill of combat, they left the cleanup to the Devil Vine.
After finishing the looting of the treasury, they prepared to retreat immediately.
Just as they were about to depart, Ye Liuyun noticed that Xiao Yunfang was leading a battalion of praetorians their way.
What’s more, they had split into three teams and were progressing in a very cautious and stealthy manner.
Their formation indicated a strategy to break the bandits’ defense and eliminate the fourth-tier martial practitioner through coordinated attacks.
Ye Liuyun observed their disciplined movements, appreciating their training and the formation’s power.
He didn’t go far, deciding to let Xiao Yunfang’s group take on the remaining bandits while he targeted other groups.
Ye Liuyun intended to observe the direction Xiao Yunfang and her group took and then head the opposite way.
They were circling the city, and with only ten days, Xiao Yunfang wouldn’t backtrack.
With only ten days, he couldn’t possibly eliminate all of the bandits. It might be better to leave some resources for Xiao Yunfang and her team.
Xiao Yunfang’s team advanced cautiously. Only when their scouts reported that the bandit group had been wiped out did they hasten their pace.
Without wasting time, they moved decisively towards the next bandit target.
After they had left, Ye Liuyun launched his flying vessel and headed in the opposite direction.
The ensuing battles followed a familiar pattern. The Devil Vine provided defense while they practiced their combat skills.
When their genuine energy was depleted, they returned to the Xuankong Stone to cultivate, then emerged to continue the fight. They left no opponents standing, with the Devil Vine eliminating the remaining low-tier bandits.
They looted the treasure hoards and quickly moved on to the next target.
After each battle, the Devil Vine gathered the Interspatial Rings and handed them to Lan Xin for processing.
“Are they raiding again?” Hua Xiangyuan asked Lan Xin.
Everytime Lan Xin got busy, it meant that they were raiding again.
“Of course. Where else would all these resources and Interspatial Rings come from?” Lan Xin confirmed.
“I envy them,” Hua Xiangyuan said wistfully.
“You’re at mid third-tier. Why don’t you join them?” Lan Xin asked, puzzled.
“My strength lies in illusions, not combat. My actual battle prowess is likely below late second-tier. I’d only slow them down,” Hua Xiangyuan explained.
“Then help me organize the resources,” Lan Xin suggested
“Will he mind me handling the resources?” Hua Xiangyuan hesitated.
“He’s not that petty. Come on, you’re just sitting around otherwise. We can sort through it together,” Lan Xin reassured her with a smile.
“Alright!” Hua Xiangyuan agreed, readily assisting Lan Xin.
Ye Liuyun, aware of everything happening in his Spatial World, had no objections.
Ye Liuyun didn’t have any objections.
He knew someone who could easily access hundreds of Alora Crystals wouldn’t bother stealing lesser resources.
Hua Xiangyuan’s sister had been quietly cultivating her transformation.
Ye Liuyun did some investigations and found that her shape-changing cultivation was almost complete, which relieved him a lot.
Reflecting on his alchemical experience, he had worried whether his Immortal Level transformation pill would meet expectations.
Fortunately, the feral beast’s robust digestion handled it well, leaving him no cause for concern.
Hua Xiangyuan’s sister not only transformed but also broke through in realm, making significant progress.
Leaving the Spatial World matters behind, Ye Liuyun led his companions from one bandit camp to another, raiding with greater efficiency than the bandits themselves.
These bandits, meeting their doom at the hands of Ye Liuyun, were repaid for their accumulated sins.
Their hoarded resources became Ye Liuyun’s cultivation capital.
On this day, Ye Liuyun’s group had circled a quarter of the city. His Divine Sense suddenly detected Zhang Wencai and his group running towards the city, missing five members and unarmed.
He immediately piloted his flying vessel to intercept them.
