Chapter 484: Chapter 125: Main Profession, Choose One Out of Four

Now that he had a grasp of the Divine Realm’s rules and regulations, the confusion in Qin Feng’s eyes vanished completely, replaced by a sharp battle intent.

He had already identified his primary objective.

It was to use every means at his disposal to plunder the Divine Domain’s exclusive core resource: the Fire of Faith.

Only by securing this endless source of energy could he reforge his Heaven-defying Talents and Divine Skills. Currently suppressed and lying dormant, he had to transform them one by one into Divine Gift skills that could operate unhindered by the rules of the Divine Realm.

Then, he could finally break free from the shackles of being a "Blank Hero" and fully replicate the overwhelming combat power he once wielded in the Mortal Realm in this land of Deities!

As he contemplated this, Qin Feng’s gaze fell on Su Mumu, who was locked in battle with an Abyssal Demon Wolf. He slowly twirled the Divine Gift arrow between his fingers, his resolve hardening.

’Obviously.’

’Completing quests is the most direct way to obtain the Fire of Faith.’

’Clearing out Demons, exploring Secret Realms... the more you do, the more you earn. It’s extremely efficient.’

He paused, his gaze shifting toward the distant Silver Moon City as a glint of understanding appeared in his eyes.

’But once I ascend to become a Junior Deity, things will be different.’

’The Fire of Faith, gathered from the daily, pious prayers of my believers in the Mortal Realm, will flow continuously into my Divine Format like a fixed daily wage.’

’Although the amount would be stable, it would lack flexibility, and the total probably wouldn’t be that large.’

Qin Feng’s expression grew serious. He nocked an arrow on his bowstring and muttered to himself,

"I figure...

"if I want to rise quickly...

"I’ll still have to rely on fighting my own way through the Divine Realm."

The moment he finished speaking, Qin Feng released the bowstring. He effortlessly unleashed his Legendary Level Archery Skill, an art ingrained in his very being. Wrapped in the faint glow of the divine weapon, the arrow shot forth like a golden stream of light, precisely piercing the head of an Abyssal Demon Wolf.

THUNK!

The dull thud of the arrowhead tearing through scales and piercing its skull was clearly audible. The Demon Wolf let out a mournful howl and its massive body staggered, but it didn’t collapse as he had expected. In fact, its health bar had only dropped by a fraction.

Seeing this, Qin Feng raised an eyebrow. He summoned his system panel, a flicker of understanding in his eyes.

The moment they entered the Divine Domain, the rules forcibly standardized the Basic Attribute Points of all Ascenders. For example, everyone was set to 10,000 points in Strength, Agility, Constitution, and Spirit.

The Ability Values that truly affected one’s combat power, however, were now tied exclusively to the Attribute Conversion Rate of their main Profession.

His sub-professions, which had helped him dominate the Mortal Realm by providing simultaneous boosts to his Ability Values, now had their Attribute Conversion Rates nullified. They could no longer provide even the slightest additional bonus.

At the same time, only the Professional Skills of one’s main Profession in the Divine Realm could be upgraded using the Fire of Faith.

The Professional Skills of his so-called sub-professions couldn’t be upgraded, which essentially meant they were unusable in the Divine Domain.

In short, in this world, everyone—from the high and mighty Deities to the newly arrived Ascenders—was left with only a single, core Profession.

The system in the Mortal Realm that allowed Lord Players to learn an unlimited number of combat Professions was likely no blessing at all, but rather a grand scheme orchestrated by the Destiny Deities.

Their goal was to force these chosen few, these Ascenders-to-be, to find the path that best suited them through constant trial and error amid the carnage of the Mortal Realm.

That way, when they finally stepped into the Divine Domain, they could immediately lock onto their chosen path and clearly see their road to Divinity Ascension.

’This is a bit troublesome.’

’Ranger, Sigmar Combat Priest, Gray Lord, Necromancer... I have to choose one of these four.’

Qin Feng stared at the four Profession options that had appeared on his attribute panel, his brow furrowed in thought. He unconsciously tapped his fingers against the body of his Divine Longbow, a sense of conflict welling within him.

His gaze swept over the descriptions of the four Professions, and his thoughts began to crystallize:

’The first two are pure physical Professions. Their damage output relies entirely on physical attack power. Skills like archery and warhammers, both ranged and melee, are their core.’

’The last two, however, are classic magic-based Professions. Their damage depends on Magic Attack Power, with Necromancy and Shadow Magic being their signature abilities.’

With a soft sigh, Qin Feng looked up at Su Mumu in the forest, who was locked in a fierce struggle with a Demon Wolf, her Divine Longsword a blur of motion. He then lowered his gaze back to the four glowing Profession titles on his attribute panel, his thoughts heavy.

’But no matter which one I choose, it means the other three Professions, from entirely different disciplines, will become useless decorations, along with all their damage-dealing skills.’

His finger traced lightly over the panel, his gaze landing on the entries for "Necromancer" and "Gray Lord." The look in his eyes grew deeper.

Then, Qin Feng’s fingertip first tapped on the word "Ranger." A sharp archery-themed special effect flashed across the panel. He then moved his finger to the "Necromancer" option, and ghostly purple Undead flames flared to life.

His brow remained tightly furrowed, unable to make a final decision.

Back in the Mortal Realm, Qin Feng had been a master of multiple Professions. He could switch between physical and magical combat at will. He could call down an Arrow Rain while simultaneously summoning an Undead Army to overwhelm his foes, or use Spirit Control to become a battlefield Commander-in-Chief.

But under the iron law of the Divine Domain, once he made a choice, he would be locked into that path forever. There was no turning back.

After a long, conflicted moment, Qin Feng’s finger finally stopped wavering. It came down decisively on the "Sigmar Combat Priest" option.

The panel flashed. The Profession was instantly branded onto his Divine Format. An energy that was both sacred and deadly flowed silently through his entire body. His Ability Values rapidly grew, conforming completely to the well-rounded nature of the "Sigmar Combat Priest" Profession.
