Chapter 482: Chapter 124: Unworthy of Grinding Without Divine Gift Skills?
Following the direction given by the Fire God Aesira, Qin Feng and Su Mumu had just stepped outside the range of Silver Moon City’s defensive Divine Pattern when a familiar, sinister coldness washed over them.
It was the same Dark Energy found on the scales of the Evil Dragon Jinli and surrounding the Abyssal Apostles. It was as thick as undiluted ink, coiling around the edge of the distant forest. It collided with the holy radiance emanating from Silver Moon City, sparking fine, black-and-red bolts of lightning.
The Black Flame Forest before them was completely different from other areas of the Divine Domain. The giant trees, which should have had a gilded sheen, were now pitch-black. A viscous Dark Energy seeped from the cracked bark, as if the trees’ very blood had been tainted.
There were no green leaves on the crowns of the trees. Instead, there were clusters of dancing black flames. The flames had no heat; on the contrary, they gave off a bone-chilling cold. They produced no Ashes as they burned, only scattering specks of black light that transformed into tiny Abyssal tentacles upon hitting the ground, twisting as they burrowed into the soil.
The air at the forest’s edge carried a foul, decaying stench. The ground was covered in a layer of grayish-black moss that was sticky and slick underfoot. With every step, a faint SIZZLE could be heard as the moss devoured the Holy Power in the air.
From deep within the woods, low wolf howls echoed from time to time, mixed with inhuman, hoarse roars. Each sound caused the surrounding Dark Energy to fluctuate even more violently.
"This is the place."
Qin Feng raised a hand and conjured a Magic Barrier, blocking the Dark Energy that tried to approach. His gaze pierced through the shadows of the intertwining black flames, looking deep into the forest.
Dozens of burly, wolf-like creatures were crouched among the trees. Their bodies were covered in dark purple scales, and instead of fur, they had fine, Abyssal barbs. A pair of crimson eyes glinted menacingly in the black flames. Saliva dripped from their mouths, corroding small pits into the hard rock below.
Seeing this, Su Mumu tightened her grip on the standard-issue Swordsman’s sword she had gotten from a Divine Realm novice weapon pack. A faint golden defensive light appeared on her fingertips.
"What’s with this Wolf Pack?"
"So creepy!"
"They’re completely different from the Evil God’s army we fought before!"
The words had barely left her mouth when the nearest Abyssal Wolf suddenly turned its head. Its crimson gaze locked onto the two of them as a threatening growl rumbled in its throat. The Dark Energy around it surged, and the Wolf Pack behind it rose to its feet, forming a semicircle that trapped Qin Feng and Su Mumu at the forest’s edge.
The black flames danced behind the Wolf Pack, stretching their shadows long. The shadows merged with the Dark Energy permeating the woods, and an intense killing intent instantly enveloped the area.
At the same time, Qin Feng used the Reconnaissance function of his top-tier "More Prisoners" Talent to check the attribute panels of these Abyssal Wolves.

[Description: A giant Demon Beast wolf from the Mortal World, corrupted by a God of the Abyss. It invades the Divine Domain as the vanguard of the Abyssal Faction. Although it doesn’t possess much combat power and is considered the lowest-level cannon fodder in the Abyssal Faction, its sheer numbers make it an extremely troublesome threat.]
Before Qin Feng could finish carefully studying the Abyssal Demon Wolf’s panel, Su Mumu, who was beside him, could no longer contain her fighting spirit.
She let out a low cry, gripped the Level 1 Divine Longsword she had just taken from her novice weapon pack, and pushed off forcefully with her feet. Like an arrow loosed from a bow, she shot toward the nearest Abyssal Demon Wolf.
The blade, wrapped in a faint but pure Divine Power, sliced down with a whoosh, accurately striking the Abyssal Demon Wolf’s back, which was covered in dark purple scales.
SHRAAACK!
The crisp clang of metal on metal exploded along with the sound of cracking scales. A wound so deep the bone was visible appeared on the wolf’s back, and blackish-red blood gushed out.
However, a flicker of surprise passed through Qin Feng’s eyes as he watched the Abyssal Demon Wolf. Su Mumu’s sword had slashed through its skin, but the wound was not healing as quickly as he had expected.
