Chapter 467: Chapter 117: You Still Want to Fight? Fine! Let the Bloodthirsty Clones Show Their Strength
They stockpiled supplies and armaments at the Teleportation Gate hubs across various planes and frequently drilled combined-arms tactics, foolishly planning to tear through the defensive lines with lightning speed at the very start of the war.
As the morning bell of the Shurima Tower chimed for the third time, the Magic Power in the world suddenly erupted into chaos—the tremor of colliding planar laws.
Qin Feng stood atop the tower, the Beheading Sword in his hand humming softly. His Holy Power vision pierced the clouds, allowing him to clearly see dozens of twisted spatial rifts rapidly expanding on the distant horizon. Dark purple Magic Power bled into the sky like ink—the Global Alliance Army’s Plane Gates were forcibly tearing through the dimension’s barrier.
[The Plane War has officially begun!]
The system’s voice, amplified by the plane’s laws, reached every defensive line of the Holy Empire—calm, yet carrying immense power.
The moment the voice faded, the distant spatial rifts had already expanded to several thousand meters wide, transforming into a series of Plane Gates that radiated an ominous aura.
The next second, piercing battle cries and beastly roars tore through the sky as countless Plane Legions, clad in all manner of armor, surged forth like a tide.
Giant soldier types from the Viking Country Realm hefted Siege Hammers, their every step cracking the earth.
Ninja from the Sakura Country walked on air using Chakra, their poisoned blades gleaming with a sinister light.
The steel warhorses of the Iron Cross Alliance thundered across the wasteland, their cannons aimed at the border fortress ahead.
Furthermore, countless elite legions formed by foreign players charged madly under the direction of command-type Lord Players, wielding forged weapons as high as level four.
Banners of all colors snapped in the wind, and the languages of different planes wove into a cacophonous war chant. The black sea of soldiers stretched for miles, sealing off the Holy Empire’s border completely.
The Teleportation Gates continued to disgorge troops. The dark purple fluctuations of Magic Power intertwined with the soldiers’ killing intent, coalescing in the sky into a thick, dark cloud that completely blotted out the sun, plunging the entire Plane into an oppressive gloom.
On the walls of the various border fortresses, the soldiers of the Holy Empire gripped their weapons. Their breathing was ragged, but they showed not a single trace of fear.
Behind them stood the Holy Empire Envoy representing Emperor Tingfeng, the Sky Fleet poised to strike, and the powerful Magic Power that permeated the entire realm.
One young Holy Empire soldier looked up at the straight, golden figure of the Holy Empire Envoy atop the tower, tightened his grip on his shield, and muttered to himself.
"Let’s show these guys the might of the Holy Empire!"
Holy Empire Envoy 27 gazed down at the alliance army swarming below like an ant colony. Holy Power flowed from their fingertips as they activated a telepathic link with the other Holy Empire Envoys.
Instantly, the roars of Ancient Giant Dragons echoed from deep within the clouds. Holy Flame Dragon Breath flickered behind the cloud cover, like innumerable suns about to erupt.
Then, a cold smile touched the lips of Holy Empire Envoy 27, who issued a sharp, decisive command.
"Sky Fleet! Full-scale assault! Target: all Plane Gates! Leave none standing!"
"ROAR!"
In an instant, a sky-shattering draconic roar erupted from deep within the clouds—the sound of countless Divine Gift Ancient Giant Dragons unfurling their wings in unison.
Golden Holy Flame erupted from the gaps in the clouds, dyeing the dim sky a blazing sea of fire. Countless colossal shadows burst through the cloud cover, their Dragon Scales shimmering in the Holy Flame with a luster tempered over a thousand years. With a single flap of their hundred-meter wingspans, the Dragon Wings kicked up a gale that sent the charging soldiers of the Global Alliance Army tumbling.
They hovered five hundred meters in the air, the optimal range for their Dragon Breath’s coverage. Their heads lowered in unison, golden, slitted pupils locking onto the torrent of enemy troops pouring from the Plane Gates below.
The next second, countless streams of perfectly condensed Holy Flame Dragon Breath spewed from the dragons’ maws. It was not scattered fire, but a golden torrent like surging magma, imbued with a Divine Power that could incinerate Magic Power and purify Darkness. It converged in the air into a river of fire several miles wide, which then crashed down upon the first wave of enemies emerging from the Plane Gates.
HISS—BOOM!
The instant the Dragon Breath hit the ground, it first let out the piercing sizzle of burning Magic Power, followed immediately by a series of thunderous explosions.
The Ninja Corps from the Sakura Country Realm at the forefront bore the brunt of the attack. The Ninjutsu barriers they took such pride in shattered like paper before the Holy Flame, and the ninjas and their blades were instantly incinerated.
The Enchanted Siege Hammers hefted by the Viking Giants were caught in the fiery torrent. The wooden handles instantly carbonized, and the metal heads melted into slag that flowed down the giants’ muscular bodies, leaving behind deep, seared wounds.
The Heavy Armor Cavalry of the Iron Cross Alliance fared even worse. Their thick plating buckled and warped in the Holy Flame. Before the mounted soldiers could even scream, they exploded into fireballs.
The torrent of flame swept through with devastating force. Any enemy touched by the Holy Flame, whether they were elite Divine Chosen Extraordinary Soldiers or common Native Creature cannon fodder, was either turned to ash or utterly consumed by the fire.
A gap several miles wide was instantly torn through the dense sea of soldiers pouring from the Plane Gates. The stench of charring flesh filled the air, mingling with the dark purple Magic Power emanating from the gates to create a sickening miasma.
The Global Alliance Army soldiers just stepping out of the Plane Gates witnessed this hellish scene firsthand. Their charge ground to a halt, the fanaticism on their faces replaced by absolute Fear.
They stared at the Ancient Giant Dragons circling high above and at the slowly flowing Golden Holy Flame, and finally understood. Before such world-ending power, their so-called "Sea of People Tactics" was nothing more than fuel for the pyre.
However, the foreign Lords commanding the overall operation watched the vanguard being devoured by the Holy Flame Dragon Breath below without a hint of pain or anxiety on their faces. They didn’t even furrow their brows.
They stood on high, floating command platforms in the rear, watching with cold indifference from thousands of meters away as the battlefield turned into a sea of fire. It was as if those being incinerated were not the elite troops they had poured resources into training, but merely insignificant cannon fodder.
In their minds, the outcome of this Plane War didn’t hinge on the gain or loss of a single defensive line. Countless Plane Gates had already been opened across the Holy Empire’s outer perimeter in all four cardinal directions, and endless waves of the Global Alliance Army were simultaneously pouring in from various borderlands, such as the Frozen Pass, the Dark Forest, and the Volcanic Zone.
The annihilation of this vanguard was merely a trivial loss in their grand offensive. The so-called Invincible Sky Fleet, even if it could temporarily defend one border fortress, could never clone itself to cover every front. It was bound to be stretched thin and overwhelmed by the multi-pronged assault.
Their sights were already set far beyond the current battlefield, fixed upon the heartland of the Holy Empire.
As long as they concentrated their forces and broke through the more lightly defended border cities, they could quickly establish a foothold inside the Holy Empire. From there, using Frontline Bases and Plane Gates to endlessly spawn troops, they could leverage their numerical superiority to launch a relentless offensive, pushing all the way to Tingfeng’s Lord’s Hall.
Even with Tingfeng’s terrifying personal combat strength, he would be isolated and cut off, ultimately unable to escape being surrounded and annihilated.
However, this confidence, born of Pride and miscalculation, caused them to completely ignore the strategic ace up the Sky Fleet’s sleeve. They were even more oblivious to the fact that they had already walked into a terrifying deathtrap.
The Lords on the command platforms nodded slightly, their eyes glinting with Greed for power and resources, as if they could already see Tingfeng’s downfall and the players of the Hua Country Realm kneeling before them, begging for mercy. They were utterly oblivious to the figures materializing on the distant horizon, or that a thunderous purge of all Plane Gates was about to be unleashed.
’Seriously!’
’They’re coming after me for *this* too?’
’Whatever. I’ve already done so many questionable things, and the King of War hasn’t shown up to stop me. I suppose he’s given me his tacit approval to do as I please!’
’In that case, I’ll let the Bloodthirsty Clones take the stage and annihilate these stupid fools in one fell swoop!’
