Chapter 462: Chapter 115: Every Loyalist of the Holy Empire Will Become a Surprise Attack Squad (Part 3)

He walked up to Qin Feng and knelt on one knee. The Divine Chosen Heroes behind him also saluted in unison, the crisp clang of their armor perfectly synchronized. Yet, their expressions were, without exception, grim:

"His Majesty the Emperor! I have determined the precise coordinates of all the cross-plane Teleportation Gates and have recorded them all on the map."

He paused, raising a scroll high. His voice carried an undeniable weight:

"But the situation is even grimmer than we anticipated."

"The number of Plane Teleportation Gates the enemy has opened is a full ten times greater than during the invasion of the Eight Realms Alliance Army!"

"From the Frozen Tundra on the northern front to the Gobi Desert Beach on the southern front, west to the Sea of Storms and east to the edge of the Holy Mountain—they are spread across nearly all of the Empire’s outer borders, forming a total encirclement!"

Qin Feng took the scroll, his fingertip tracing the red dots marked upon it. Each dot represented a Teleportation Gate, and their dense concentration was startling to see.

Diablo continued speaking:

"The number of Teleportation Gates has surged."

"That means the speed and scale of the enemy’s troop deployment will far surpass that of the last invasion."

"With our current troop deployment, if we try to defend all of our outer border territories, our forces will inevitably be spread too thin."

Diablo’s voice held a hint of grim resolve:

"The outer defensive line stretches for thousands of miles, the Teleportation Gates are far apart, and Teleportation itself can be unreliable... If the enemy launches surprise attacks from multiple directions at once, the Legions of the Holy Empire won’t have time to reinforce each other. They will most likely be picked off one by one, trapped in a desperate, isolated predicament!"

After a brief pause, Diablo took a deep breath and put forth the suggestion he had long and carefully considered:

"To ensure our victory is absolute, I implore Your Majesty to give the order: abandon some of our outer border territories and withdraw all Divine Chosen Legions to a closer defensive line!"

"As long as they are close enough, the distance between them will be manageable. We can then use our fortresses to hold the line, while also guaranteeing unimpeded Teleportation support between legions. This will form a cohesive defensive system, giving the enemy no opportunity to pick us off one by one!"

The wind in the square grew stronger, rustling everyone’s robes and armor. In the distance, the shouts of soldiers at drill could be heard, but they did nothing to dispel the palpable tension.

The Divine Chosen Heroes all looked to Qin Feng, awaiting the final decision of their Holy Emperor. Though abandoning territory was a bitter necessity, faced with such a massive disparity in forces, it was undoubtedly the optimal choice for preserving their strength and seizing the initiative.

However,

Qin Feng rejected Diablo’s proposal.

Because he had just obtained a new Power of Authority through a Divine Gift: Teleportation Enhancement.

This new power enhanced his "Gate of War" Talent, allowing all Teleportation abilities within its area of effect to be cast instantly, without needing to be out of combat and without fear of being interrupted by conventional or even divine Control Skills.

Combined with his "Plane Summoning" Talent, it directly expanded the casting range of "Gate of War" to cover the entire Plane Battlefield.

’At that point,’

’every loyalist of the Holy Empire will become a mobile strike team, able to quickly disengage, suddenly enter a fray, or provide instant support.’

’If we have the advantage,’

’we’ll crush them outright.’

’If we’re struggling,’

’we’ll summon other Legions of the Holy Empire for rapid support.’

’And if we’re completely outmatched?’

’We’ll execute a strategic retreat with Teleportation.’

’We can wait for the Holy Empire’s main forces elsewhere to defeat their assigned enemies, then Teleport back and catch these troublesome foes completely by surprise.’

’This... this was the whole point of choosing "Divine Gift: Teleportation" in the first place!’
