Chapter 1383: Chapter 210: Ji Ru Mo’s “Brother”
What kind of place is this?
Much to Yun Sheng’s unexpected surprise, ascending to the final level of the Bahuang Tower presented a scene like this.
As she completed the last step of the staircase, the Bahuang Tower beneath her suddenly vanished.
She found herself in a void space.
All around her, there were mirrors.
In the mirrors, her shadow was reflected.
No matter how Yun Sheng moved forward or retreated, all she could see were countless mirrors.
The earlier exit was gone too, she couldn’t find the way back.
The endless reflections and prolonged waiting easily bred a feeling of world-weariness, but luckily Yun Sheng was a doctor; she knew that in such an environment, she had to maintain calmness, otherwise, she’d fall into madness and might even harm herself.
After drinking some Life Water, Yun Sheng calmed down and started counting her heartbeats. Based on her heartbeat and pulse, she roughly estimated that she had been trapped in this enclosed space for two days and two nights.
Suddenly, Yun Sheng sensed something gazing at her from behind.
She swiftly turned around, only to see herself in the mirror.
"Is there anyone here?" Yun Sheng shouted into the darkness, but there wasn’t even an echo.
That’s not right; this place isn’t a real-world existence. In the real world, there should have been an echo.
Yun Sheng glanced at the mirror beside her. She raised her hand and a magic flew towards the mirror.
The Yun Sheng in the mirror eerily smiled; the mirror remained unscathed, and the magic was reflected back.
The magic could be reflected just the same; are these mirrors possibly the Dark Destiny Mirrors?
"Am I inside the Dark Destiny Mirror?" Yun Sheng remembered the abnormal reactions from the Heavenly Destiny Mirror earlier.
"Hehe. Woman, you’re quite clever to have discovered it." Suddenly, the person in the mirror changed, from Yun Sheng to another person.
In the mirror, a man appeared.
He was a very handsome man, whose appearance was unforgettable after just one glance.
"Ji Ru Mo!" Yun Sheng’s heart jolted upon seeing the man in the mirror.
She gazed at the mirror in disbelief.
The eyebrows, nose, lips, even the hairstyle were identical to the past Ji Ru Mo.
However, Yun Sheng suddenly realized that he wasn’t Ji Ru Mo.
Because Ji Ru Mo would never have such an evil aura, and the man in the mirror had black hair, whereas Ji Ru Mo’s hair was white.
"Don’t mention that fool’s name to me. He’s simply a disgrace to us Mirror Spirits." The man frowned in disgust upon hearing Ji Ru Mo’s name.
The Mirror Spirit is a very unique type of Artifact Spirit.
Most of them have their own consciousness, drifting outside the realms of humans, gods, and the Netherworld.
Therefore, the Dark Destiny Mirror world created by the Mirror Spirit Ji Ruxue couldn’t even be sensed by the Divine Power of Bo Bo.
"Do you know Ji Ru Mo?" Yun Sheng was somewhat excited.
The death of Ji Ru Mo had always been a regretful event for Yun Sheng.
Although she possessed Red Lotus Karma Fire, she was unable to reforge the Heavenly Destiny Mirror.
"Not just knowing him, we are Mirror Twins, what you humans would call twins. My name is Ji Ruxue, and his is Ji Ru Mo, but he symbolizes the Light side, whereas I am the Dark side." Ji Ruxue laughed. "That idiot Ji Ru Mo loves saving people the most, whereas I’m the opposite; I love eating people the most."
This Ji Ruxue shared identical features with Ji Ru Mo, but his smile carried an indescribable sense of danger.
"Eating people?" Yun Sheng detected a hint of killing intent in Ji Ruxue’s eyes.
"Hehe, yes, eating people. The Dark Eight Desolate Divine Artifacts differ from the Eight Desolate Divine Artifacts; they were created for salvation, while we are for destruction. Look at the mirrors beside you." Ji Ruxue said, waving his hand.
In the mirrors beside Yun Sheng, many different people appeared.
These people looked blank and dull.
"These people were all cast into the Bahuang Tower by that High Priest over the years, for me to consume, so I won’t cause trouble," Ji Ruxue said, licking his lips.
His personality was completely different from Ji Ru Mo’s.
Ji Ru Mo’s character was aloof yet compassionate.
But Ji Ruxue was a person who relished chaos; his heart only harbored slaughter and destruction.
"High Priest? You mean, the High Priest knows about your existence?" Yun Sheng became vigilant.
"Of course; that guy has always wanted to use the Dark Eight Desolate Divine Artifacts to fulfill his ambitions. However, the other seven Dark Eight Desolate Divine Artifacts are lifeless objects without Spiritual Sense; he just needs to find someone to open their seal, except for me, he has no way." The High Priest was somewhat aware of Ji Ruxue’s existence.
But he’s always been uncertain of Ji Ruxue’s location.
If Yun Sheng hadn’t had the Heavenly Destiny Mirror, she might not have even discovered Ji Ruxue’s existence.
"Ji Ruxue, since you and Ji Ru Mo are both Mirror Spirits, you must know how to save him?" Yun Sheng pondered for a moment, then suddenly asked.
"Hehe, you’re quite an amusing woman," Ji Ruxue had sensed Ji Ru Mo’s aura on Yun Sheng when she entered his Dark Destiny Mirror world.
Ji Ruxue had the chance to kill Yun Sheng back then.
But he didn’t hastily act; he was curious about what kind of person Yun Sheng was, whom Ji Ru Mo, sacrificing his own life, had chosen.
Initially, upon seeing Yun Sheng, Ji Ruxue thought she was just a pretty face.
But for that alone, would Ji Ru Mo sacrifice everything?
But after observing for days, Ji Ruxue discovered that Yun Sheng was somewhat different.
That woman, on the first day she entered, indeed acted like a headless fly, wandering aimlessly.
But later, she started eating and performing some inexplicable actions.
Even after remaining isolated without contact with the outside world for days on end, she remarkably sensed his presence.
"You want to know how to save Ji Ru Mo, I can tell you, but I have one condition." Ji Ruxue laughed and pointed at a mirror behind Yun Sheng.
"I have already consumed nine hundred and ninety-eight lives, sealing them within mirrors, turning them into Mirror People. These Mirror People are far better than living humans; they will accompany me forever. If you’re willing to be the nine hundred and ninety-ninth Mirror Person, I’ll help bring Ji Ru Mo back to life. Life for a life, quite a bargain."
Mirror People?
Yun Sheng glanced at the mirror behind her; that mirror no longer contained human images.
"So, what say you? Ji Ru Mo was willing to give up his life for you; are you willing to give up a life for him?" Ji Ruxue’s eyes gleamed with madness and a touch of fervor as he stared at Yun Sheng.
