Chapter 405: Chapter 404: Is There a Throne to Inherit at Home?

The belief in favoring sons over daughters has always existed.

The more affluent the family, the stronger this belief tends to be.

They always feel it’s such a pity if there’s no son to inherit their vast family fortune.

Nathan Foster stood beside her, accompanying her as they gazed out the window.

"So what if it’s a boy? Is there a throne at home that needs heir to it?"

South Grant was taken aback by Nathan Foster’s words and turned to look at him.

When Nathan wasn’t bickering with her, his jabs at others were actually quite endearing.

"Exactly, what’s so special about boys!" South Grant nodded.

Owen Hayes’ wife Yvonne Walsh was once a college genius. For her husband’s career, she was willing to wash her hands and make soup, silently supporting him from behind.

But who would have thought it would end like this in the end.

At first, when Jackson Zane told Yvonne Walsh, she didn’t believe it.

She knew her husband’s infidelity; she endured it because she thought his philandering was just a phase, hoping he would eventually return to her.

There would always be a day when her bitter patience paid off.

She trusted her husband when it came to the illegitimate child issue.

After hanging up Jackson Zane’s call, she dialed Owen Hayes.

On connecting, before Yvonne Walsh could say anything, she heard Owen Hayes start speaking:

"What is it, calling at this hour? I’m abroad shooting right now; can’t it wait until I return?"

Yvonne Walsh felt relieved hearing that Owen Hayes was filming abroad.

The person on the phone said Owen Hayes was at the hospital for childbirth a couple of days ago; now, he’s abroad, so it definitely isn’t him.

Yvonne Walsh didn’t question further and gently said:

"It’s nothing, just checking if you’re busy and to remind you to take care of yourself."

"Alright, I know, I’ve got to go now, they’re waiting for me there." With that, Owen Hayes hung up.

Just then, Yvonne Walsh’s phone rang again.

Seeing Jackson Zane calling again, Yvonne Walsh answered.

"Don’t call again; I trust my husband." After all, Owen Hayes had personally assured her that he wouldn’t get involved in any illegitimate child situations outside.

Afraid she’d hang up, Jackson Zane hastily said:

"Believe it or not, hearing is deceptive; seeing is believing. Ms. Walsh, why don’t you come to the hospital and take a look? Your husband is at a hospital in Aethelgard."

Jackson Zane’s words made Yvonne Walsh hesitate.

Just now, Owen Hayes said he was at a filming location abroad.

Now this person says he’s at the hospital. If this person is lying, she can expose it by checking the hospital, so why would he do this?

Could it be?...

Yvonne Walsh didn’t dare complete the thought.

"Ms. Walsh, if you don’t believe me, you can go to the hospital I mentioned earlier, on the sixth floor in the VIP maternity ward. There’s only one patient, a Ms. Yvonne Lawson, and all the rooms have been paid for by a Mr. Hayes so that no one else will use the VIP area during her stay."

The more Yvonne Walsh listened, the more uneasy she felt.

After hanging up, Jackson Zane called South Grant: "Young Master South, I did as you said and informed Yvonne Walsh. It’s hard to tell if she believed it or not."

"It doesn’t matter if she doesn’t believe it; women are naturally suspicious and will verify it themselves."

South Grant was only waiting for Yvonne Walsh to arrive at the hospital, the stage was set for her.

Jackson Zane kept an eye on Yvonne Walsh’s movements, and by the afternoon, Yvonne Walsh indeed left her house.

"Young Master South, Yvonne Walsh has gone out, alone, without bringing anyone."

Upon hearing this, South Grant snapped his fingers, knowing the fish had taken the bait.

"Uncle, wait for me, and I’ll give you an impromptu show."

With that, South Grant went into the dressing room, and when she came out, Nathan Foster couldn’t help but be surprised.
