Chapter 351: Chapter 350: Agitated Alter Persona
Vivian Lockwood was talking about an incident that happened when he first arrived at the military hospital.
"I had just returned and was assigned to the military hospital. On one of my shifts, I saw a girl in a hospital gown causing a scene. I asked a colleague about it, and they all said she was the cousin of a regimental commander from the military district. Pregnant before marriage, her family sent her to her cousin to discipline her and abort the child. After the abortion, she seemed to have become somewhat mentally unstable and often caused disturbances in the hospital. At that time, she knelt before the director, asking for justice, claiming the child was the commander’s. She said he had persuaded her to abort the child, and now he claimed she was just his cousin. But back then, everyone saw it as a joke. After hearing and seeing a bit, no one paid much attention, not expecting what happened later."
As Vivian spoke, she sighed.
Just then, a girl nearby, somewhat curious, asked Vivian:
"What happened afterward? Was that woman really the commander’s cousin, or was she his lover?"
"She was his lover. The commander had a family, but in the military, conduct is strictly enforced. When the woman became pregnant, she used the child to threaten him.
The commander had no choice but to promise her a divorce, showing her a fake divorce agreement.
He said if she married someone else while pregnant, people would criticize his conduct, so he coaxed the woman into aborting the child. By then, the fetus was already six months old, fully formed.
I heard it was extremely difficult for the woman during the miscarriage. She was in pain the whole night until the child was completely expelled. It’s said she saw the fetus torn into pieces and was severely traumatized.
Later, a nurse mentioned the commander hadn’t divorced his wife; they even attended military district events together. To outsiders, he introduced her as his cousin, claiming her family sent her to him for discipline due to her immoral lifestyle.
From that day on, the woman caused daily disturbances, with the commander claiming to outsiders that she had mental problems."
After Vivian finished speaking, her group of sisters angrily cursed the commander.
"How can such a beast become a commander?"
"What happened to that girl later? Did the commander face any retribution?"
Everyone was very concerned about this issue, looking to Vivian for answers.
"No matter what the girl said in the military district, no one believed her. As her discharge approached, she realized she couldn’t shake that scumbag, and her infatuation had become a joke to others. That day, she jumped from the hospital rooftop, dying immediately with blood streaming from her seven orifices."
"Ah!" the girl beside Vivian exclaimed.
"Did the man face retribution?"
"Due to the tremendous impact of the suicide, there was a thorough investigation. Only then did they discover the girl was not the commander’s cousin but his secret lover of three years.
Once this news broke, the commander was sent to a military court. His wife filed for divorce, and now he lives in poverty, separated from family."
"Serves him right; people like him deserve this."
Everyone listening to Vivian’s recount was extremely angry, including the men present.
Although they sometimes flirted outside, disregarding human life was a matter of character and ethics.
No one noticed South Grant sitting in the corner of the sofa, his eyes now filled with a sinister look.
He was entirely different from the previously lazy, dignified young man.
