Chapter 54: Chapter 54: Beginner Fire Dungeon

One week later.

Living knowing that there is a huge hole in his memories was difficult.

It was worse than drinking until passing out and the writer of life simply taking a good part of that memory after getting drunk and ending up waking up in an unknown girl’s bed.

It was not easy to forget, but training helped occupy his mind.

Because of this, he used the Physical Training Capsules every day and trained for at least 8 hours a day.

This brought him good results.

He used eight Physical Training Capsules every time. That is, 56x the result.

Training using this yielded him an even better result than training nonstop for an entire year.

After training that day and taking a shower, Luan saw the result of his own effort in the full-body mirror of the wardrobe.

’I am getting closer to the physique I had when I was 24 years old in the simulation...’

Slapping his cheeks with his hands as he began to feel depressed from remembering the life he had in the simulation, Luan decided to go out at night to run a bit and clear his mind.

...

Wearing dark green and black sportswear, Luan was running on the sidewalk when a black limousine passed by him.

Luan suddenly stopped running: "Catharina?"

He rubbed his eyes.

Inside the black limousine he could swear with absolute certainty that he had seen Catharina.

Although it was only for a fraction of a second, that silver-white hair and golden feline eyes were strongly imprinted in his mind.

He gave a self-deprecating smile: ’How could it be her?’

Maybe the girl actually had some resemblance to Catharina, but he placed a filter that made her look even more like her.

Besides, the limousine window had a dark tint.

No matter how good his vision was, there was no way he could see through the glass perfectly.

’I must be hallucinating...’

Massaging between his eyebrows, he started running back.

Another week passed.

Training and going out to run every day became a routine for him.

During this time of training, he became stronger.

’With my current strength I should be able to kill most Lv1 monsters alone.’

It was only two weeks of intense training, but the result was as if he had trained for more than two years.

But, this also cost 1/4 of the Physical Training Capsules.

...

It was Saturday morning.

That day, Luan did not intend to follow the same routine as always.

In his hand, there was a ticket that cost him 500 dollars. But it was not a simple ticket to a theater play or something like that; that paper gave him access to the Beginner Fire Dungeon.

In this dungeon there was only a single type of monster: The Igniblast.

They seemed to be made of crystals, glowed in the dark with flames around them that do not burn physically, but were capable of causing damage if touched. This creature was like a red block with two pairs of wings, and large, neon eyes.

The Igniblast did not land. They lived floating all the time.

They did not eat. They did not drink.

And even so... they were fast. Being able to reach up to 60 KM/h.

The worst of all, was that they explode if they feel they cannot win.

Luan researched well.

This little creature had 3 types of attacks; if counting the suicide attack.

The first attack is called Fire Strike. It launches a ball of flaming energy at the enemy.

Although it did not burn the body, it affected the mind / soul. Some even had memory loss because of this...

The second attack is called Luminous Cannon. The effect was the same as the first, except this one fires several fire bullets uncontrollably.

Perhaps because it affects the target’s own soul, this causes an effect similar to a defense reduction and slowdown effect in a game, and may even lead to a stunned state.

That said, although it was indeed a very dangerous little monster and annoying to deal with, it was proven that it gives 3x more EXP than standard Lv1 monsters.

And, once you discover their attack pattern, it is not that difficult to deal with.

The biggest problem itself is that it is not profitable. At least, it is not easy to profit from them.

To be able to profit, you need to capture them alive, but that itself is a very big challenge, since these creatures explode when they cannot defeat their enemies.

Believe it, everything was tried to capture these monsters alive, but poison does not work, whether through the air, or trying to inject it into them.

Something like a net, much less. The moment they are captured, they explode.

The only truly effective way is to freeze them, but this was a rare talent and normally does not stay stuck at Lv1 for long.

Although they are indeed profitable, it was only if the Hunter is Lv1.

At Lv2 there are several other monsters more profitable than this one. Thus, it was not worth it, especially considering that without killing, you will not gain EXP.

Of course, there are rich people who pay high-level Hunters to capture these monsters. The reason is actually simple: It gives a lot of EXP.

The rideshare driver stopped in front of a large dome-shaped construction.

At the entrance, there were armed guards.

*Bang*

Getting out of the car, Luan carried the Magic Bag slung over his shoulder.

In his right hand, he had a briefcase with a disassembled spear.

It was made like one of those screw-together pool cues.

He thought about using a bow and arrow, but while he was at it, he wanted to improve his physique as well.

The machine guns in the hands of the guards crossed, forming an "X", when he approached.

Luan did not get nervous, extending his hand with the ticket.

With his head, the one on the left gestured to the ticket clerk.

"Let me see." The ticket clerk, who wore a standardized uniform in black and red, took the ticket.

Taking a ticket puncher after seeing that it was real, making a hole in the ticket, he says: "You may let him pass."

The two guards simply removed the machine guns from the way.

The moment he took a step forward and pushed the door labeled [Push], a very loud creak echoed.

The creak of the door was almost frightening, sounding like the scream of a desperate man.

Inside, there were several stalls.

Even though 500 dollars was not a fortune. But, if you go out and come in every day, who can handle it?

’Besides, it seems that the Colossi Guild is the one who finished the dungeon that I found, thus gaining its rights.’ Luan recalled what he read on the internet.

The dungeon had two floors and the monsters were Lv1 and Lv2.

And, it seems that the remains of the monsters were quite profitable. Because of this, it is said that the entrance was highly contested on the internet, being able to reach the value of 100 thousand dollars.

’Ricardo must have been pissed when he found out about this, right?’

Although he himself felt resentful, honestly, he prefers to think of that as a life lesson.

Putting those thoughts aside for now... After taking the spear out of the briefcase and assembling it to be 1.8 m long, he passed through the faint red portal.
