Chapter 151: Ch:151 Level 35 Reached
Daniel woke from his nap, rubbed his eyes, and delivered a firm, possessive slap to Belinda’s ass.
*SLAP!*
*Wobble~ Wobble~*
She jolted awake.
*Yawn~*
The sun dipped toward the horizon. Soft sunlight streamed through the window, while the first glow of the streetlamp began to emerge outside.
"Oh no, I’m late," Belinda gasped.
...
*THUD*
Belinda dressed in a hurry, grabbed her things, clothes, and rushed outside, slamming the door behind her.
Shit, she almost broke my door.
Stepping onto the balcony, he saw Belinda climbing onto the wagon.
"Is everything okay, Daniel?" Esmeralda called from below.
Clearly, the door slam had caught her attention as well.
"Nothing, lady esma. *Sniff*. What are you making tonight?" Daniel asked, saliva pooling in his mouth as the smell of roasted chilies reached his nose.
Esmeralda smiled. "It’s a surprise. Don’t worry you’ll know it tonight."
Saying that, she entered her room.
...
"I should be level thirty-five by now," he murmured before pulling Veil’s pouch and withdrawing it.

To enter someone’s shadow, the user must make physical contact with that person’s shadow.
Also, the user can only enter the shadows of humans.
After entering a shadow, you cannot move or take any actions, but you can see and hear everything from the shadow’s perspective.

Warning: A single ray of sunlight can dispel the combat art and force it into a twelve-hour cooldown.

Daniel’s muscles tightened for a second. A refreshing wave of energy surged through his body, warm and electric.
The sensation was so intense that his palms tingled.
*Knock-Knock*
"Hm!? Who’s there?" he called out, narrowing his eyes.
He shoved the book into his pouch and opened the door.
No one.
Yet, a sheet of paper lay on the doorstep.
Daniel picked it up and read.
——————
(Note)
Daniel, hurry and get to the underground chamber. The nearest one is on the opposite side of the gate. Be quick. It’s urgent.
—Zero
——————
What? Urgent?
*Sigh*
’Hope it’s nothing serious,’ he thought.
Daniel closed his room and locked the door. He jogged toward the location. The necklace (Gatekey) vibrated, indicating the entry point was near.
There it is.
With no one in sight, not even animals, he opened the trapdoor and climbed down the ladder.
Below, a fire spirit was waiting, its flames lighting the way for him. Once down, he followed the spirit.
Five minutes later, Daniel reached Zero’s underground room.
The spirit vanished.
*Knock-Knock*
"Come in," Zero’s voice came from inside.
Inside, Zero and Zane sat on the bed, while a woman sat on a chair beside the table.
One look at the woman was enough for Daniel to lose interest in learning who she was.
No huge breasts, no curves, no chubbiness, nor decent thighs.
On the table rested a white, ice-like crystal with something red sealed inside. The woman tapped at its surface, as though trying to crack the crystal with a pair of needle-like metal chopsticks.
"What is going on?" Daniel asked, his tone cautious.
"It’s the rare artifact you obtained from the Nightmare Trial," Zero said before tapping the bed, gesturing for him to sit beside him.
"Daniel, why did you lie to Zero and say you saw me at the church early this morning?" Zane asked, his tone serious.
Daniel narrowed his eyes. "No. Why would I lie."
"Helen, wasn’t I with you this morning?" Zane asked the woman sitting on the chair.
"Yeah," Helen replied.
"What? Then who... was he?" Daniel wondered. "I’m dead serious. It was you, Zane. Wait... are you guys teaming up and pulling a group prank on me?"
They denied.
Daniel recalled what he had seen earlier that morning and told them about the guards on horseback, a man who looked exactly like Zane, and how he had given the name Denis instead of his own.
Zero turned his gaze to Zane.
"I think he’s telling the truth," Zero said.
"Yeah, I think so... But how could I have been in two places at once?" Zane wondered.
"Finally!" Helen exclaimed.
*Crack-Crack-Crack*
The crystal began to crack from the outside. The three of them stood up and turned their attention to the artifact.
"What is it?" Zane asked, his tone curious.
Helen stared at it for a moment, examining it. "I’ve never seen such a rare artifact. It must be in the artifact book. Wait, let me get it."
Saying that, Helen stood up and left the room.
Daniel picked up the artifact and stared at it.
"Far," he whispered under his breath.
A blue translucent screen appeared beside the artifact.
——————
Name: Hell Guard
Type: Artifact
Rarity: Rare
Durability: 99%
Description: A cursed cross guard that inflicts the Blood Loss effect.
Each cut injects a trace of its cursed blood into the enemy, dealing 0.5% damage per cut. It can be stacked up to 100 times.
Every successful strike also drains the opponent’s mana, restoring 0.5% mana to the wielder.
To activate the Blood Loss effect, the sword must deal damage equal to 10% of the target’s health.
Once this threshold is reached, the blade must be sheathed to trigger the effect.
Warning: If the blade is sheathed before dealing damage equal to 10% of the target’s health, all accumulated Blood Loss stacks are inflicted on the wielder instead.
Cooldown: 10 minutes (After Blood Loss is successfully triggered, this effect cannot be activated again for 10 minutes)
