Chapter 85: 85:Nyx Going Crazy
Outside the gate, chaos had already broken out.
The snowfall around the area had grown heavier while freezing winds swept violently across the surroundings. Cracks of ice continuously spread across the ground as terrifying waves of icy mana exploded outward again and again like an uncontrollable storm.
And at the center of it all stood Nyxara.
Her purple hair floated wildly behind her, defying gravity as cold mist continuously spread from her body. Her eyes had already lost most of their calmness and were now filled with panic, rage, and desperation.
Several men in black suits stood around her, trying their best to hold her back.
These men were clearly powerful awakeners, yet even they looked extremely strained while resisting the overwhelming pressure erupting from Nyxara’s body.
"Lady Nyxara, please stop! If you destroy the gate, it can cause irreversible damage!"
One of the men shouted while barely blocking another wave of freezing energy.
But Nyxara didn’t even look at him.
Her eyes remained locked on the unstable gate before her as icy mana continuously burst from her body uncontrollably.
"I don’t care... My darling is inside."
Her cold voice trembled slightly for the first time.
"I will tear through the gate and step in."
The next moment, Nyxara completely unleashed her power.
BOOOOM!
A massive explosion of icy mana erupted outward from her body and instantly froze large portions of the surroundings. Thick layers of ice rapidly began spreading across the ground while nearby vehicles, walls, and debris started getting blanketed in frost.
The black-suited men immediately moved.
Several barriers appeared around her while chains made of mana shot toward Nyxara in an attempt to restrain her movements.
But Nyxara shattered them apart with nothing but brute force.
CRACK! CRACK!
The mana chains froze in an instant before exploding into pieces.
One of the black-suited men tried to approach her directly, but a freezing shockwave erupted from Nyxara and blasted him backward across the ground.
Another man slammed both hands onto the floor and created a massive barrier of light to contain her icy mana.
BOOOOM!
The barrier trembled before cracks spread across its entire surface.
The surrounding awakeners watching the scene were left completely bewildered.
Nobody expected a Tier 1 awakener to display such monstrous power.
Hiding behind a large shield beside Kellar’s massive body, Lira stared at the battlefield with wide eyes before letting out a shriek filled with disbelief.
"How?! How is she able to contend against high-tier humans when she is just Tier 1?!"
"This doesn’t make sense!"
Lira shouted while watching another explosion erupt around Nyxara.
Kellar stared at the chaotic scene silently for a moment before slowly shaking his head.
"It is what it is... Some things don’t make sense, Lira."

Another terrifying explosion erupted as Nyxara’s icy mana burst outward again while snowstorms spiraled violently around her body.
The black-suited men continued trying to hold her down, but every second became harder as the freezing pressure spreading from her body grew more and more terrifying.
"Still... This is insan—"
BANGGG!
Something suddenly slammed across the battlefield at terrifying speed, leaving behind a brutal trail through the frozen ground and scattered debris and carving a deep path through the battlefield as chunks of ice, broken concrete, and shattered stone exploded in every direction from the sheer force of impact.
Kellar and Lira immediately turned around to see what the disturbance was.
Their eyes widened in peril as they saw the scene.
A man in a black suit was sent flying through the air before crashing into a massive pile of debris. His body skipped across the frozen ground several times before finally smashing into a broken wall.
CRAAASH!
Broken concrete and shattered ice exploded everywhere as the man tumbled across the ground before finally coming to a stop. Several nearby awakeners hurriedly moved out of his path.
BOOOOM!
Another thunderous blast erupted, sending powerful shockwaves across the surroundings, sweeping away the dense clouds of dust and debris that had gathered around the battlefield while the freezing winds grew even more violent.
And at the center of it all, Nyxara continued advancing.

The black-suited men continued trying to contain her, but with every passing second, it became more difficult. The freezing pressure radiating from her body grew more and more terrifying, forcing many of them to continuously reinforce themselves with mana just to remain standing.
Nyxara walked through them while freezing the entire ground beneath her feet and leaving behind a path of ice wherever she stepped.
Every step she took left behind thick layers of frost and jagged ice crystals that rapidly spread outward.
The snowstorm surrounding her continued growing stronger while freezing winds howled violently through the area, worsening visibility with every passing moment.
At that moment, she looked less like a human and more like an ice demoness that had crawled out of a frozen coffin after centuries of slumber.
A heavy murderous aura permeated the surroundings.
Many people subconsciously stepped backward, while some lowered their heads instinctively, barely able to withstand the pressure emanating from her.
Some couldn’t even meet her eyes.
"Leave aside... Let me tear through the gate."
Her voice was cold and carried a terrifying pressure that made everyone’s hearts tremble as the temperature around her dropped even further.
"Lady Nyxara, why don’t you understand? You might destroy the gate."
One of the black-suited men muttered while cautiously stepping aside, though he still kept his guard up and prepared himself for another clash.
"I said MOVEEEEE!"
A horrifying roar erupted from Nyxara.
The surrounding snowstorm exploded outward violently as chunks of ice shattered across the battlefield, and several nearby barriers cracked under the pressure.
Despite that, the black-suited men remained standing.
Their expressions looked troubled.
"What do we do now?"
One of them asked while gritting his teeth against the freezing pressure and struggling to maintain his footing.
"We can’t let her destroy the gate."
"Then stop her."
"Stop her? Look around,Pal. We are barely holding on."
