Chapter 1972: Chapter 1972: Care and Feeding Rules (13)
One person and one cat finished their meal, and it was indeed almost noon.
Yesterday evening’s events didn’t seem to affect Shang Qi in any way. After eating, Shang Qi somehow found a small hoe and gardening scissors, and headed to the garden.
Chuzheng was lazily lying on the steps, basking in the sun, while Shang Qi was tending to the plants in the garden. The scene was leisurely and pleasant.
"Yue Ban." Shang Qi looked up and called her.
Chuzheng swayed her tail, her bright blue eyes opened, and she glanced over.
"Come here." Shang Qi waved her over.
No!
If you tell me to come over, I will just come over?!
Calling me Yue Ban! Yue Ban, my foot!
-
Five minutes later.
Chuzheng walked to Shang Qi’s side with feline steps.
Shang Qi brought out his hand from behind his back, and a small floral wreath landed on Chuzheng’s head.
Chuzheng looked up at him, and Shang Qi lowered his gaze, meeting her eyes in the air.
The man was handsome and aloof, the little cat lazy and elegant, the gentle breeze stirred the sea of flowers, creating ripples.
Click—
A shutter sound echoed from afar.
Chuzheng turned to look, only seeing a bodyguard quickly squat down in the flowers, unable to see who it was.
"Truly beautiful." Shang Qi’s cool compliment drew Chuzheng’s attention back.
Chuzheng: "..." If you say it’s beautiful, then it’s beautiful. Anyway, I’m now just a soulless tool cat.
Shang Qi spoke casually to Chuzheng, while his hands trimmed the flowers and plants.
Chuzheng played with her tail for a while, then stretched her paw towards a flower.
Shang Qi tapped her paw lightly: "Plucking flowers isn’t a good habit."
Chuzheng: "..."
Aren’t you also plucking them?
Shang Qi used his fingers to break off that flower, trimmed the small thorns, and held it out to Chuzheng: "Do you like flowers?"
I like you.
Chuzheng turned her head away coldly, not wanting it. Shang Qi wasn’t annoyed and placed the flower beside her paw.
Shang Qi concentrated while working, so he didn’t notice when Chuzheng had left.
When he looked for the cat, he realized Chuzheng was gone.
Shang Qi stood up, about to search nearby, when he saw Chuzheng dart out from the flowers, carrying several beautifully blooming roses in her mouth.
The little cat leaped out of the flowers, her body brushing past the blooms, her tail knocking the branches and leaves, lightly swaying them.
Her snowy white figure lightly landed, silently, like a suddenly descended sprite.
Shang Qi’s gaze was a bit dazed until Chuzheng placed the flowers at his feet, snapping him awake as he bent down.
"For me?"
The little cat nodded, pretending to be aloof.
Shang Qi picked up the several flowers and realized they were precious varieties he had cultivated, likely the best blooming ones, and sighed slightly: "But you plucked my flowers; don’t you think that lacks sincerity?"
Chuzheng pressed a paw into Shang Qi’s open palm firmly, fiercely.
That expression seemed to say—accept it and stop complaining.
Shang Qi grasped her little paw and squeezed it: "Our Yue Ban has good taste. Picking only the best ones."
Chuzheng extended her claws, scratching the palm of his hand.
Of course, it has to be good taste, or how could I pick you?
What’s done is done. Shang Qi couldn’t do anything about Chuzheng, so he just pruned the flower stems.
Chuzheng lay on the grass watching the man trim. His fingers, meant for playing the piano, were long and beautiful, the flower stems twirled between them, the vibrant colors highlighting his increasingly handsome face.
The combination of flowers and beauty was enchanting.
Chuzheng scratched the grass with her paws, wanting to kiss, to pull, to...
Sigh.
Just thinking about it is enough.
-
Coming out of the garden, Shang Qi watched Chuzheng disappear at the corner, then turned in the opposite direction and grabbed Xiao Si, squatting there.
"Sir." Xiao Si tried to smile despite his rugged face.
The man, with refined features and a cool demeanor, held the vibrant flowers, reaching out to Xiao Si.
Xiao Si swallowed hard: "S-sir? What...?"
The man’s voice was cool: "Phone."
"Oh, oh, oh..."
Xiao Si quickly handed over his phone and promptly said the unlock password.
Shang Qi tapped a few times and handed the phone back to him, then turned away with the flowers.
Xiao Si felt a sense of relief after surviving, looked down at his phone, which was on the WeChat screen where Shang Qi had sent himself several photos using Xiao Si’s account.
They were the photos he had secretly taken.
Checking the album, they had been deleted.
Although the pictures remained in the chat conversation, Xiao Si didn’t have the guts to save them again.
"It’s not even a partner, why is sir so stingy..."
-
Shang Qi saved the photos on his phone; Xiao Si’s photography skills were decent, but with limited phone pixels, it lacked the quality of a camera.
I’ll take it out for a shoot sometime.
Shang Qi put down the phone, found a vase, arranged those flowers, and placed them on the bedroom’s bay window.
After settling everything, Chuzheng slowly walked in from outside.
Shang Qi pointed towards the bathroom: "Wash your feet before getting on the bed."
Chuzheng: "..."
So many stupid rules.
Chuzheng was not keen on water, planning to compromise—by exiting the room.
Shang Qi saw her intent and approached to grab her: "Don’t be so afraid of water, just get used to it."
"..."
I’m not afraid!
It’s this body’s instinct!
Blame me, huh!
Shang Qi held Chuzheng to wash her paws; Chuzheng felt like a giant baby.
Ah!
This game is really unplayable, truly!
[Main task: Spend a hundred thousand dollars within a day.]
Chuzheng: "..."
This is truly unplayable.
[Come on, girl! Don’t get discouraged! You can do it! Being a girl, you can’t say you can’t, right?] The King’s Account started its brainwashing mode, with unconvincing flattery.
Since Chuzheng, as a feline alien, didn’t have a bank card, it was directly sent to her Space.
Chuzheng: "..."
Even this won’t work, right? How can I spend money in this form? I’ll get captured and dissected!
Chuzheng sat on the chair, irritably pressing her tail.
Shang Qi, holding the phone, was replying to someone’s message, only leaving a silhouette for Chuzheng.
Phone!
Chuzheng jumped off the chair, and pulled at Shang Qi’s pant leg.
Shang Qi looked down at her, his tone cool: "What’s wrong?"
Chuzheng pointed at the phone with her paw.
Shang Qi paused for a few seconds: "Want to play?"
Chuzheng nodded.
Shang Qi quickly finished replying to his messages, placed Chuzheng on the table, and laid the phone in front of her.
Shang Qi didn’t mind what Chuzheng was playing, just settled her down before leaving the room.
When Shang Qi returned, he saw Chuzheng lying on a pile of money, immediately sitting up and tapping the phone with her paw when he entered.
Shang Qi: "..."
Where did all this money come from?
As Shang Qi walked in, he asked: "Where is this from?"
Chuzheng gestured for him to look at the phone.
Shang Qi had no choice but to suppress his doubts and looked at the phone screen.
—I want to use your bank card, trade!
