Chapter 1960: Chapter 1960: Rules for Raising Pets (1)
Chuzheng returned to the Time Corridor, but there was no button on her panel to exit the game.
The first thing that popped up was the dungeon rating.
Chuzheng glanced at it, an A rating, probably because she was passive and inactive later, so the rating didn’t go higher.
Beside it was a lottery draw, but it was gray and unusable.
She wasn’t sure if it was because the rating wasn’t high enough or if the game itself hadn’t opened it.
Chuzheng exited the rating page, and the panel had more dungeon information; Chuzheng clicked to look, and there was only one dungeon—the one she had cleared.
Chuzheng closed the panel and tried to walk around the Time Corridor, hoping to attract the attention of the people outside and get them to take her out.
——But nothing happened.
[Little sister, since you can’t go out anyway, how about we continue?] King’s Account goaded Chuzheng slyly.
Continue, my ass!
Chuzheng cursed King’s Account with a scowl in her heart.
King’s Account: [...] Baby feels bitter, but baby won’t say it.
There are too few functions available in this crap game now, Chuzheng couldn’t click anything else and was finally forced to click the tag.
For the Good Person Card!
She must find out what the relationship between the Good Person Card and Xing Jue is!
I’ll endure!
Chuzheng once again entered Xing Jue’s code.

[Thank-You Card synthesis in progress...]
[Thank-You Card synthesis successful, current progress 42%.]
Before coming to her senses, Chuzheng saw the Thank-You Card progress given by King’s Account.
Then a piercing cat scream sounded in her ears, an eerie sound sending chills down Chuzheng’s spine, making her break out in goosebumps.
After the piercing cat scream, the surroundings fell silent.
Chuzheng felt the narrowness around her; turning over was difficult, the ground cold and damp with a foul smell, along with a faint hint of blood.
Chuzheng: "..."
Who am I! Where am I? What am I doing!
Chuzheng took two minutes to figure out that she should be trapped in a hole, what kind of hole... that she didn’t know.
And this hole was extremely small.
It was absolutely impossible for a human body to stay in it.
Very quickly, by that weak bit of light, Chuzheng saw her own paw, yes, a paw, furry and dirty.
Chuzheng’s first reaction was to feel with her paw, sensing the soft touch beneath it, the cramped space bringing pressure and discomfort, making Chuzheng slightly calmer.
Chuzheng couldn’t tell what she was at the moment but could only first think of a way to leave this ghostly place.
After much difficulty getting out of that hole, she found a pile of debris ahead, and further outside was an alley.
No streetlamp illumination, hidden in darkness.
Chuzheng instinctively felt uneasy, so instead of escaping through the debris, she found a clean spot to first receive the memories.
-
The original host was a cat, yes, a cat! Just one of those high-cool, aloof miaow beings!
But the original host had no owner, and from a young age, she followed a black cat around, which had quite a few underlings.
However, the original host looked pretty, and the black cat protected her, so she didn’t fall into the range of the black cat’s underlings.
Of course, the black cat didn’t treat her as a spouse, probably considering her a daughter.
Later, one day, the black cat suddenly disappeared, and no matter how the original host searched, she couldn’t find it.
It was at this moment that the original host encountered a young man.
The young man carried the smell of the black cat, and he gave the original host a friendly feeling, so in wanting to know the whereabouts of the black cat, she followed the young man.
The young man was very kind to the original host.
The original host didn’t find the black cat but instead found herself an owner, and shortly after being brought back by the young man, she discovered she could understand the young man, even communicate.
The original host asked the young man to help find the black cat.
The young man amiably agreed.
The original host felt good vibes towards the young man, thinking he was amiable, liking and trusting him.
But the original host didn’t anticipate her tragedy beginning when she followed the young man back.
The young man took the original host outside, letting her communicate with some stray cats, bringing them back.
The young man told the original host, wanting these cats to have a better life.
At that time, the original host felt the young man glowed, thinking he was an extremely good person.
Until one day the original host discovered a corpse the young man hadn’t had time to dispose of.
The original host got so frightened she forgot to run, and got caught red-handed by the young man.
The young man tore off his disguise, revealing a demon-like side.
It was too late for the original host to think of running; she didn’t know what the young man did to her; she simply knew that whenever she planned an escape, the young man would immediately know and quickly catch her.
And she would face punishment.
The young man forced her to bring back those stray cats, later, with fewer strays around, the young man had her seek those pets.
But pet owners cared greatly for their cats, and some reported it to the police.
So the young man didn’t stay in one place long, continuously switching cities with the original host.
The original host was trapped beside the young man, both desperate and afraid.
The young man wouldn’t relent, making her do these things. In the end, the original host couldn’t take it and started seeking death.
The young man saved her several times, punishing her through certain means, making her dare not seek death.
Struggling in such a quagmire, watching her kind die before her one by one, closing her eyes she could see blood and those gruesome corpses.
Finally one day, the young man brought back a prettier cat.
The original host finally followed the footsteps of others, dying miserably.
-
Chuzheng seemed to feel the original host’s despair and pain at the time of death, with resentment accumulating in her heart.
Chuzheng slowly exhaled, needing time to accept her current body and situation.
The current timeline was not early; the young man had already shown his true nature before the original host and was forcing her to go around finding miaow beings for him.
The original host and the young man had just arrived in this city for two days.
The area had quite a few stray cats, and the original host was sent out by the young man to find them.
Today the original host got the chance to escape, thinking she could flee, but didn’t anticipate being found by the young man.
Chuzheng’s heart skipped a beat.
She couldn’t stay here any longer.
In this weak form, how could she fight against an adult?
No way, no way.
That dog could be beaten to death by me!
Socialist core values do not permit me to act this way!
I strive to be a good person today!
Chuzheng squirmed out of the debris, shaking her tiny arms and legs, turning her head to survey the surroundings, picking a direction, and immediately dashed that way.
However, four feet were not the same as two feet.
Just getting into this body, Chuzheng wasn’t quite accustomed, coupled with the body’s apparent weakness, instincts couldn’t save her, she directly stumbled and fell to the ground.
Chuzheng: "..." Damn it!
Chuzheng hastily checked the surroundings, fortunately, no one was there; if no one saw, nothing happened, don’t worry, be calm! What’s the big deal! I can do this!
Chuzheng got up, trying to leave the alley as calmly as possible.
