Chapter 1911: Chapter 1911: Magic Apostle (32)

Charles saw his daughter, his face darkened further and further, and he immediately sent someone over to take a look.

Just as Charles’s people approached the Magic Array, they suddenly lunged forward and went straight into the Magic Array.

Alright.

This Magic Array has a certain similarity to the previous one.

The only difference is that this Magic Array doesn’t seem to absorb magic elements; it simply captures them inside and locks them in.

"Everyone, don’t act rashly!"

"Calm down a bit!"

With these shouts and Charles’s personal demonstration, the crowd finally calmed down a bit.

"What the hell’s going on here?"

"Why did this relic suddenly appear?"

"Can anyone explain what’s happening today?"

"And that thing in the sky, can anyone explain that too?"

The crowd looked up, and the silhouette of a Giant Dragon appeared vaguely in the thick clouds.

"If I’m not mistaken, that dragon... looks a lot like the Magic Dragon Di La."

"What Magic Dragon? What Di La?"

"..."

The flow of time made many people forget what had happened in the past. Perhaps they had heard of such a thing, but their minds didn’t react immediately.

Magic Dragon Di La.

As this name circled through the minds of the crowd, some began to remember.

Magic Dragon Di La, defined in history as a nightmare-like existence, was rumored to have long been sealed. How could it appear here?

The dark clouds in the sky seemed to press down, the suffocating atmosphere spreading in the ruins.

"...Grey." Someone mentioned another name.

The one who uttered this name was the dean of the Magic Academy, who was intently looking at the Magic Array over there, seemingly recognizing what it was about.

"Dean? Who did you just mention?"

The dean calmed himself and solemnly uttered a name: "Grey."

The once dragon-slaying hero, Saint Archmage—Grey.

And the dragon he slew is the very one now hovering in the sky.

Grey’s era is too distant from them, so even someone like the dean only knows about him from records.

Yet, some of the magic he left behind is still used to this day.

But few people know anymore who created the magic they use.

Charles was suspicious: "Why did the dean suddenly mention Grey?"

Dean: "This place... it might be Grey’s burial site."

"What?"

Those who knew the name Grey looked at the dean in shock.

And those who had no idea who Grey was were completely bewildered. Should they save people? What were they talking about? Should they catch that so-called Magic Dragon in the sky?

Of course, the thoughts of this group were unknown to the dean’s group.

They were still immersed in shock.

No one knows where Grey finally died.

There are records in some unofficial histories stating that whether he died at all is a question.

Some books mention that people tried to find Grey’s burial place, but aside from those nonsensical rumors, no useful information was found.

"Dean, are you sure?" Charles’s heartbeat quickened a bit.

"These formations..." The dean was uncertain: "Even if this isn’t Grey’s burial site, it’s definitely related to him."

"Hahaha..."

Just as the dean finished speaking, a strange voice rang out.

"I didn’t expect anyone would still remember me." This voice was ancient and primitive, coming from deep below the ground.

The crowd gasped together, all warily gathering around their magic.

The dean and others were especially alert.

Unfortunately, after all their caution, nothing appeared; instead, the Magic Arrays stopped operating.

Those inside thought they could get out and rushed to escape.

But no one got out; instead, they ended up dizzy and disoriented.

In just a moment, the stopped Magic Arrays began operating again, shining brighter than before.

"Ah—"

A scream echoed from the corner.

Inside one of the Magic Arrays, a student clutched their neck and fell to the ground, and everyone inside crowded to one side, exposing the student.

But in no time, the student was reduced to skin and bones, gradually losing breath.

The crowd only felt their blood rushing upwards, shivers running through their bodies, and goosebumps rising layer upon layer.

"Ah!"

"Help, help!!"

"I want out, Father, save me!"

Terror and despairing cries echoed from different places, and the crowd, which had just calmed down, could no longer maintain composure, rushing toward their children.

Various magic struck the Magic Array, but to no avail.

"I advise everyone not to waste your efforts." That voice rang out again.

The dean spoke: "Are you Senior Grey?"

"It’s me," the voice replied eerily: "After all these years, I’ve finally seen the light again."

The dean’s mind quickly grasped the situation.

He had been in this relic for a very long time...

"Senior Grey, could you make an appearance?"

"Now is not the time."

"..." The dean glanced at the Magic Arrays where several had already fallen: "Could you spare the younger ones?"

Grey’s words were arrogant: "I need them to get out; how could I spare them?"

The crowd: "..."

Damn!

-

In the air.

Di La must have detected something, making the entire dragon become somewhat out of sorts.

Most noticeably, it flew in a zigzag, looking like it might throw them off at any moment.

Suo Wei called out several times, but Di La still didn’t adjust.

"Looks like he’s out."

"Who’s out?"

Suo Wei stood up, the wind blowing his robe behind him, the golden embroidery vividly blooming in the breeze.

The boy’s voice was crisp and smiling: "My teacher, Grey." He seemed expectant and excited, yet also hiding deep hatred.

Chuzheng: "..."

What did you say?

"From here on, this has nothing to do with you." The boy instructed Di La: "Take her away from here."

The boy turned and gave Chuzheng a smile, then leaned back, falling into the clouds.

Chuzheng had only one word to express her feelings at that moment.

What the hell is going on!

Without thinking, Chuzheng immediately jumped after him, Di La obediently following the master’s orders, diving down to catch Chuzheng.

However, Chuzheng shifted her body, avoiding Di La, and quickly approached Suo Wei.

Before Suo Wei hit the ground, she grasped his wrist.

A slight flicker of astonishment passed through the boy’s pale gold pupils: "You..."

"Did I allow you to jump?" Chuzheng pulled him into her arms.

The boy was forced to rest his chin in the crook of Chuzheng’s neck. After a while, he laughed and asked, gentle and obedient: "Since I’ve already jumped, how do you plan to punish me?"

Chuzheng held him as they landed on the ruins, not far from the center of the commotion, where the crowd only needed to glance up slightly to see them.

But at this moment, no one looked up.

Their attention was all captured by that voice.

So they all missed the two overlapping entangled figures above the ruins.
