Chapter 1892: Chapter 1892: Magic Apostle (13)

The Colosseum... the most famous one is in Rorland.

Upon entering, Chuzheng discovered that this Colosseum was at least twice as large.

At the moment, there were not many people in the audience seating, just a few scattered around.

There were people in the arena.

Or rather, it was one person and one beast, engaged in a battle.

The Demonic Beast was a Green Bull, massive in size, known for its brute strength, classified as a Third-Level Magical Beast.

The Demonic Beasts here are divided into nine levels, with one being the lowest and nine the highest.

Third-Level Magical Beasts already possess intelligence, but they are not particularly difficult to handle.

However, the person in the arena was clearly at a disadvantage, being knocked around by the Green Bull’s horns several times.

The people in the audience were clearly not interested in this performance and paid it little attention.

"Two beautiful ladies, welcome to the Colosseum." A handsome young man strolled over gracefully, bowing in greeting: "The official performance is at six in the evening, you ladies have arrived early."

Chuzheng didn’t respond.

Since the guards at the entrance let them in, it meant they were allowed inside.

Alice didn’t dare speak either, just secretly observing her surroundings.

Where could her sister be?

Could they really find her sister after being directed here?

"I’m looking for this person." Chuzheng drew out a sheet of paper and unfolded it in front of the young man: "Where is she?"

The young man examined it carefully, soon smiling as he said, "You ladies will see her tonight." Then he handed over a booklet: "This is tonight’s event schedule. I hope you ladies have a pleasant time."

After delivering the booklet, the young man left.

"Is my sister really here?" As soon as the young man left, Alice eagerly looked at Chuzheng.

Chuzheng replied expressionlessly, "Didn’t he tell you?"

Alice: "..."

Although she now knew her sister’s whereabouts, this place made Alice feel very uneasy.

Chuzheng flipped through the booklet, but the first page didn’t contain the event schedule, instead listing several regulations.

The first rule was to dress appropriately, with attire standards comparable to those of high society gentlemen.

Chuzheng suddenly understood why those outside who wore ill-fitting clothes, and those whose appearances didn’t match their dress, looked the way they did.

After reading through the rules, Chuzheng only felt that the one who set them had issues.

Clearly a black market that couldn’t see the light of day, yet trying to act like a state banquet.

"Wow~"

An exclamation erupted from the audience.

Chuzheng looked towards the arena, the Green Bull had pinned the person against the edge, its horns piercing entirely through the abdomen.

The person had lost.

Not only lost, but also lost their life.

Alice covered her mouth, almost crying out.

People died around her frequently, but it was always due to illness or poverty, this was Alice’s first time witnessing such a bloody scene.

Her stomach couldn’t help but churn, and she turned away to retch.

Chuzheng glanced at her, thinking her tolerance was really low. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

In the arena, the Green Bull was trapped with magic and taken away, replaced by another person.

A man who looked to be in his thirties, stood there with a fearful expression as the heavy iron door on the east slowly opened.

What entered wasn’t a Demonic Beast, but a young boy.

The boy was dressed in a luxurious, custom noble tailcoat, entirely snow-white, with only the collar and cuffs adorned with golden accessories and intricate patterns, complementing his golden, wavy hair.

The boy walked out nonchalantly, stopping five meters from the man, his demeanor poised and elegant.

He stood there, becoming the most eye-catching presence, turning the entire world into his backdrop.

With a thud, the man dropped to his knees: "Young Master, have mercy... for the sake of all these years, where I’ve risked my life, have mercy."

The man cried and pleaded for mercy.

The boy made a curious sound, lowered his head, wearing an innocent and obedient smile, whispering something into the man’s ear.

The man’s body stiffened, collapsing to the ground, gazing at the boy in terror and dread: "You..."

The boy extended his index finger, placed it against his lips, making a gesture for silence, then blinked gently twice: "If you defeat me, you can leave here."

Man: "..."

-

Chuzheng was quite far, and the magic screens of the Colosseum weren’t displaying anything, so she couldn’t see the specific situation inside the arena.

She only saw the boy say something to the man.

The man collapsed at first, then suddenly erupted, using magic to attack the boy.

An overwhelming anger surged towards the boy.

The boy stood there smiling, allowing the flames to engulf him, the pure white color vanishing into the blaze.

However, the next second, that white shadow appeared without warning at the man’s left side.

Startled, the man continued casting two Fire Series Magic spells, trying to prevent the boy from approaching.

"Great Magician!"

Chuzheng wasn’t well-versed in magic, but the moment the man made his move, someone from the audience exclaimed.

Though they knew a Great Magician wasn’t common, seeing one at this place?

Who was this Great Magician referring to?

The boy?

It wasn’t the white-clothed boy that was referred to as the Great Magician, but the man.

The boy in white hadn’t used magic throughout... at least not that they could see with the naked eye.

He dodged effortlessly, toying with the man like a cat playing with a mouse.

Magic took a heavy toll on mana; the man was forced to use all his power, yet failed to even touch the boy. Now low on mana and stamina, he reached exhaustion.

The boy seemed to stop playing, swiftly appearing before the man, with his fingers pressed against the man’s forehead.

The boy’s crimson lips parted slightly: "Farewell."

Without warning, the man’s body fell, magic elements around him disappearing completely.

The boy held his finger in mid-air, then turned his head slightly, looking towards the audience.

-

Chuzheng returned the boy’s gaze as he slowly withdrew his hand, slightly tilted his head to look over.

His gaze carried a hint of curiosity and intrigue, then the boy’s lips curled into an almost obedient, innocent smile.

If... Chuzheng hadn’t just witnessed his performance.

Perhaps she would think that smile was indeed innocent and pure.

The boy’s and Chuzheng’s gazes collided in the air for nearly three seconds before the boy looked away, turning and heading towards the slowly opening iron door, disappearing into the shadows.

The man on the ground was quickly dragged off.

A new round of slaughter began with different Demonic Beasts and people.

This Colosseum was open all day, most of the time, there were always people on the field.

Of course, these weren’t performances, but battles to earn a spot to perform during showtime.

No one wished for death, but the payout here was substantial, even in death, the family would receive a generous amount of Gold Coins.

So people would always come here to try their luck.

If they could earn a spot to perform during showtime, if they won, they would earn even more money.
