Chapter 21 - Vampire World

Jason had watched the series recently, remembering almost every plot detail. Knowing the future gave him a huge advantage. If he moved carefully, grabbing the Orb of Life might actually be simple. 'I'll just grab the Orb of Life quickly and get out. Getting with any actresses would be a nice bonus.' He smiled. It would definitely be a nice bonus.

Jason Lamo

22-year-old genius hacker.

Known in the underground as "Homeless Hacker."]

That was his only choice. 'I guess it could've been worse.

The hacker identity would help him move smoothly within the story. 'Remember, getting laid is just a bonus.' Jason repeated it to himself—but deep down, he wasn't too confident he'd stick to that.

[Starting Leisure World]

Jason opened his eyes, seated in front of three glowing computer monitors in a dark, cluttered room. Empty beer cans and instant noodle cups littered the desk and floor, while a messy bed lay behind him. 'A classic hacker den.' Immediately, he reached out to hack the computer in front of him, hoping to find information about his new identity.

[Hacking Successful.]

[Jason Lamo's computer hacked for 3 minutes.]

Jason quickly browsed through secure files, stopping abruptly when he discovered a hidden client list.

After leaving the room, Christopher Park let out a short sigh and made his way toward the manager's office. Inside, a woman sat waiting—Madam. Despite the faint wrinkles on her face, her well-maintained figure and sharp eyes made her look no older than her mid-thirties. Dressed in a sleek white dress, she carried an air of authority, elegance, and danger all at once.

Michelle Kim. Madam of The Swan Tavern. A woman of iron in the underworld—feared, respected, and never to be crossed. "Room 6, the Special Room, is ready," Park reported.

Room 6—the only room in The Swan Tavern with surveillance cameras. "I'm watching." Michelle barely glanced at him as she focused on a thin TV mounted on the wall. On the screen, a man was changing clothes. Jason playing as Joon-Seok.

Her lips parted slightly as she caught a glimpse of his square-patterned underwear, her gaze lingering for a second longer than necessary. "...Oh my."

The weight behind it—undeniable. It reminded her of a certain night in her youth, back when she had entertained a man from overseas. "He's no ordinary guy," she murmured.

Christopher nodded. "I thought the same. I reviewed the entrance footage too. You wouldn't believe it if you didn't see it yourself..."

Michelle clicked a few buttons on her laptop, bringing up a CCTV clip.

On the screen, the man was seen standing calmly before a much larger, burly opponent. Then, without warning— Smack. A brutal slap across the face.

Before the man could even stagger back, the knife was already embedded in his thigh. The speed, the precision—there was no hesitation, no wasted movement. He wasn't just strong. He was efficient. Michelle Kim's fingers tapped against the desk. "And Daniel?"

"He'll live. Avoided all the vital spots. But he won't be walking properly for weeks."

"Unfortunate. But this man..." Her eyes flicked back to the screen. "Do you recognize him?"

Christopher stood near the door, arms crossed as he exchanged a tense glance with Madam Michelle. The dim glow from the monitor illuminated the room, casting sharp shadows on the walls. "Maybe he's a trained killer from another group," he suggested.

"Or a vampire?" she countered, her gaze never leaving the screen.

Michelle Kim wasn't just any club owner—she knew the shadows that lurked beneath the city's glitzy nightlife. Vampires were real, and she had dealt with them before.

Christopher Park shook his head. "No. I didn't sense the usual aura. His teeth—human. No fangs."

"Then a Hunter?"

"Doubtful. Vampire hunters are methodical. Precise. They don't start brawls in the middle of a club like that. He's something else."

A brief silence followed. Both knew the implications. "That leaves us with three possibilities," Michelle Kim mused, tapping a manicured nail against the desk. "He's either a psychopath, a trained killer, or a murderer."

Christopher Park exhaled sharply. "None of those sound good." Her fingers hovered over the keyboard as she zoomed in on the grainy footage.

Jason, the man in question, sat alone on the screen—legs spread out, body relaxed, but his eyes... His eyes were unreadable.

"The staff are uneasy," Park continued. "A guy with that kind of temper—if he snaps, he could hurt one of our girls."

Michelle Kim let out a slow breath, rolling her shoulders. "What's the damage?"

"Daniel's out of commission for weeks. He got off lucky."

"Lucky?" She raised a brow.

"He could've been dead. If I hadn't stepped in when I did, Jason would've buried that knife deep enough to hit an artery. That's not the work of some street thug. That's someone who's killed before." She didn't doubt it. The way Jason moved, the way he reacted—it was almost unnatural.

Park continued, "We have over thirty guys on standby. If we need to, we can end this before it escalates."

"No."

"No?"

Michelle Kim's voice was firm. "If he came here looking for a fight, he would've started one already. No, this guy has a purpose."

Park hesitated, then nodded. "Then what do you want me to do?"

"Watch him. Learn everything you can. If he makes a move, I want to know about it first."

A pause. Then, a respectful bow. "Understood, Madam."

With that, Park left the office, the door clicking shut behind him. Michelle leaned back in her chair, arms folded, eyes locked onto the screen. Jason sat there, fingers lightly tapping against his knee, lost in thought. 'Who are you?' Her instincts told her that this wasn't just some violent man passing through. He wasn't here to cause chaos—he was here for something. And people like that were dangerous in a different way.

If he thought he could toy with her, deceive her, or manipulate her, he was in for a rude awakening.

And yet... She couldn't deny the heat curling in her chest. His presence was unsettling, but in a way she hadn't felt in a long time. With a soft exhale, she brushed a strand of hair behind her ear, still watching the screen. "...This could be interesting."
