Around 15 minutes after leaving the examination, Aoni found himself standing alone in a room more akin to a hospital MRI facility than a training hall.
Boasting a space of around 20 square feet the pristine white-tiled room held nothing but a cordoned-off area, where Garret could be seen sitting down at a computer with a thick wall of glass separating him from Aoni.
"As I explained on the way up here, we will now be testing your Physical Stats in order of their appearance on the Traveler’s Display. Step forward into the ring and prepare for your Attack Test." With a soft click, Garret’s voice came through multiple speakers positioned around the room as he was seen leaning into a microphone.
Clack clack clack clack
For a few seconds, while the microphone was still live, the only sound in the room was that of Garret Typing away on a keyboard; and upon hearing the instructions, Aoni took a deep breath and stepped into the glowing blue ring of light which filled the floor space in the center of the room.
"For this test, all you need to do is punch the machine with as much strength as possible five times; you are not to use any types of techniques or even Energia; this test is merely meant to test your physical strength, understood?"
"Yes, Sir," looking down at his ands, Aoni watched as a machine rose from the ground, resembling a familiar punching bag game he had played in the local arcade growing up.
It wasn’t that flashy and kind of looked like a giant mailbox with a teardrop bag hanging down from the end of its upside-down L-shape protrusion.
However, unlike that game, which was meant to draw the eye of people with bright flashing lights and pleasant sounds, this one didn’t even have a screen that would display his score, causing Aoni to look at it with a bit of anticipation.
’Anything to be aware of? Like, am I supposed to hit it with everything I’ve got?’
Just punch the bag; the User has nothing to fear or hide, as your current Stats are well within the acceptable range of the Manipulated ones
’Gotcha,’ taking the basic boxing stance taught at the academy, Aoni stood in an orthodox stance and looked over his shoulder for the go-ahead from Garret.
Orthodox stance is: Left hand and foot forward, Right hand and foot back, shoulders turned with his chest facing to the right.
"The bag will move upon contact, so allow a few seconds for it to reset and recalibrate before continuing; you may begin."
BANG
The moment he got the OKAY from Garret, Aoni unleashed a straight punch with his right hand, flinging the back and up into the device.
With a faint click, the bag dropped back down, and Aoni repeated the process four more times before the punching machine dropped into the floor and was replaced by one that looked like a long vertical rectangle.
"This device will measure your kicking strength, and the two scores will be combined to form your final score for Attack." Without bothering to look up at Aoni, Garret replied, and soon, five more loud sounds echoed inside the white room as Aoni attacked the machine with all he had.

For the second test, the one for Defense, all Aoni was required to do was place his hand on a silver pillar, which poked him several times before scanning him from top to bottom with a bright blue light and disappearing into the ground.
Compared to the one for the attack, this one merely checked the thickness of his skin and then scanned his bone density. Overall, it was painless, simple, and over before he knew it.

The third test was a bit more comprehensive, as it involved Aoni dodging harmless lasers shot by several floating drones. Through this process, his reflexes, agility, and flexibility were all put on display, and eventually, all that remained was the final test, the one Aoni was most worried about…Energia.

Standing before yet another silver pillar, with his palm placed flat against its cool surface, the Lad couldn’t help but feel extremely nervous.
’And you’re 100% SURE that my true levels won’t be shown? Even if I’m not dumb enough to believe there isn’t a difference between E+ and D-, even a moron understands there is something that changes when stepping into the D-Rank. Plus, there’s the fact that my Real Elementalization is at 15% while my falsified one is only listed as 5%.’
As it has been repeated 27 times before, scoring using the Veeramon Values is inherently flawed. As such, even if the User exhibits a value over 100 points, that will not necessarily be reflected in the Traveler’s Display
’Still doesn’t answer the issue of my Elementalization…’
It will be reflected in the way it is shown in the Modified Traveler’s Display
"Go ahead and begin channeling your Energia into the device." Without noticing a hint of any anxiety radiating from Aoni, Garret gave the sign to go ahead with the final test.
’Here goes nothing,’ he thought before focusing his Energia into his left hand and imagining it rushing out like water into the device.
Staring at the back of his left hand, Aoni watched with a bit of fascination as the machine began lighting up, at first with a soft glow that eventually brightened with each passing second until after around a minute, it emitted a DING, indicating the test was completed, before vanishing back into the floor from whence it came.
With the disappearance of the last testing device, Aoni shifted back and forth a bit while watching Garret clack away on the keyboard until he eventually got up from the computer, powered it down, and joined him in the main room.
"Alright, we are done here; now it’s time to go to the Newly awakened lobby, where you will have to wait for the results to be posted." As he spoke, Garret’s eyes wandered around Aoni’s body, clearly knowing the results of his tests and making the Lad feel extremely uncomfortable under the man’s scrutiny.
"Well? Aren’t you going to ask?" Wearing a faint smirk because this was the part Garret enjoyed the most, he pressed Aoni, who looked utterly confused about what the man was talking about. Find your next adventure on Freewebnovel
"Uh…ask what?" Confusion in his eyes, Aoni took a single step back and examined Garret’s body language.
"Everyone always asks how they did…"
"But, Sir…I already know how I did; it’s on my TD…isn’t it?"
"Tsk, whatever, follow me." Clicking his tongue and getting annoyed that Aoni had stolen his enjoyment, Garrent spun on his heels and left the testing room.
