Chapter 2576: Chapter 2576: Bribery

The hotel didn’t have many people.

According to the word around the place, it seems that everyone has been kidnapped by Black Wind Ridge.

They hardly have any business here.

Yet, even so, after Black Wind Ridge joined forces with the church they want to eradicate everything.

The spacious hotel environment is quite nice.

Julius Reed walked to the door of that room and softly knocked.

No response.

Julius Reed activated the Divine Eye and sensed the condition of the person inside the room.

Very weak, but still conscious.

Currently drinking alcohol.

Thump!

Julius Reed knocked again, loudly this time.

"Get lost, don’t disturb me while I’m drinking!"

Impatient angry shouts came from inside the room.

Bam!

Julius Reed kicked the door open and walked in with his sword.

"Looking for death! How dare you interrupt me while I’m drinking!"

The disheveled Martial Artist grabbed a wooden sword from the table, without even looking, and slashed at him!

Clang!

Julius Reed’s Emerald King Sword collided with the wooden sword.

"It’s you?"

Iwan Martinez lifted his head, and upon seeing Julius Reed, exclaimed in surprise, "You chased me here?"

"You’re not dead."

Julius Reed turned around and closed the door.

"What? Truly want me dead? I ran all the way here, and you still managed to track me down!"

Iwan Martinez laughed, discarding the wooden sword, and said coldly, "Go ahead, kill me."

"I never said I wanted to kill you." Julius Reed sat down slowly on the bed.

The room fell into an eerie silence.

"You won’t kill me? Then why did you chase me all the way here?" Iwan Martinez walked to the table, picked up a jug of wine, and drank deeply.

The floor was scattered with bottles, likely numbering over a hundred.

Yet, even so, Iwan Martinez was not drunk.

Drinking like he was gulping down water.

"If I said it was a coincidence, would you believe me?"

Julius Reed asked in return.

"That’s bullshit! How could the world be so coincidental? Such a large world, and we meet in the same tavern?"

Iwan Martinez laughed, "Don’t treat me like a fool, just state your demands, kill if you must."

He wiped his mouth and sat on the table.

It seemed like his drinking session was temporarily on pause; it would be a while before he resumed drinking.

"Indeed it was a coincidence, I killed Silvio Reed. Right in front of Nine Provinces Hall, beneath Drunken Man Pavilion."

Julius Reed chuckled, "I was injured and wanted to find a place to rest, but unexpectedly met you here. I’m really curious, weren’t you supposed to be dead?"

Looking at Iwan Martinez before him, he didn’t look like someone who had died once.

He was completely just an injured Martial Artist.

Yet back then, everyone was certain that Iwan Martinez had died.

"I am not so easy to kill. But if you make a move now, I might really die."

Iwan Martinez stepped down from the table, walked over to Julius Reed, only half a meter away.

"You say you were injured?"

He scrutinized him, seemingly finding nothing.

"I’m genuinely curious, who could have injured you? I wouldn’t believe you if you said you killed Silvio Reed."

Iwan Martinez didn’t believe Silvio Reed was dead.

Nor did he believe Julius Reed could kill Silvio Reed so easily.

"Perhaps you misunderstood my power."

Julius Reed said calmly, "I indeed killed him. If you don’t believe, prove otherwise. If you can prove Silvio Reed is still alive, I might even thank you."

"Ha, if I knew where Silvio Reed was, I’d stab him first."

Iwan Martinez returned to the table, picked up a bottle of wine, and drank heavily.

"Had I not been prepared, I might really have died. It turns out, even Silvio Reed’s usual words can’t be trusted. People, how can they have no trust?"

His mood was very off.

Even in the presence of Julius Reed, there was no hostility, he even began to rant about Silvio Reed.

"Aren’t you curious how I’m still alive? Let me tell you now, I survived because I secretly comprehended the secret of this wooden sword. I infused my life force into the sword. In times of crisis, if I truly died, this sword could bring me back."

Iwan Martinez picked up the broken wooden sword and examined it closely, "This secret, I never told anyone, including Silvio Reed. This time, I naively thought he’d come save me, but I never expected I was just a sacrifice."

"Just a sacrificial pawn! I risked my life for him all those years, he kept calling me brother! Yet in the end, he treated me like anyone else!"

"That despicable, filthy, shameless man!"

Iwan Martinez’s eyes reddened, emotions intense.

"Didn’t you come to Autumn Name Mountain looking for him?"

Julius Reed felt that what Iwan Martinez said was true.

Not an act.

The feeling of expectation followed by disappointment isn’t something an average person could handle.

"I originally came to question him but suddenly felt so naive. Asking, what answers can you get?" Iwan Martinez smiled bitterly, "I’m leaving tomorrow. In my lifetime, I’ll attempt to assassinate Silvio Reed once; if he doesn’t die, I will."

"Oh, by the way, are you going to kill me or not? If not, stop interrupting my drinking."

Iwan Martinez spoke helplessly, sitting in the chair.

"There’s no need for this, I can take you in."

Julius Reed still greatly appreciated Iwan Martinez.

Capable and spirited.

Loyal.

"You? Forget it. If Silvio Reed knows I’m alive, he’d deal with me personally. From today, I’ll go into hiding."

Iwan Martinez stared at the wine glass, somewhat lost in thought.

"I’ve said Silvio Reed is dead. You can choose to believe me or not. But I am sincerely inviting you, join me."

Julius Reed spoke again.

"What can I do? You already have plenty of people under you."

Iwan Martinez was starting to believe that maybe Silvio Reed was indeed dead.

This blind man in front of him was very powerful.

He had experienced it.

"The church issue isn’t resolved yet, I want to bring you to deal with the church first."

Julius Reed was very frank, "I need someone specifically to handle the church, and evidently, you’re the most suitable.

"If you say so, I’ll consider it."

Iwan Martinez nodded, "I do feel like a stray dog; it’s rare for someone to take me in. Whether or not Silvio Reed is dead, you’re someone who recognized me."

"I, Julius Reed, don’t misjudge people. By the way, church members might come to make trouble later."

Julius Reed stood up, walked to the door, and before leaving, said, "I’m not convenient to show my face, you can handle it. The medicine, I left on your bed."

Having said that, he turned and left.

The few great tonics on him, he tossed onto Iwan Martinez’s bed.

Those things were meaningless to the heavily injured Julius Reed.

Too weak in effect.

Inside the room.

Iwan Martinez got up and walked to the bed, picked up the pills, and threw them directly into his mouth.

A warm current began to flow, making him feel very comfortable.

"Since that’s the case, I’ll kill a few people for you."

Iwan Martinez raised his hand, and the broken wooden sword slowly repaired itself.
