Chapter 2550: Chapter 2550: Boulevard Mountain
When Nelson once again rode the white horse and rushed over, Julius Reed only felt a headache.
Perhaps it was another illusion, or perhaps he had walked out of it.
He wasn’t sure.
"Julius."
Nelson dismounted, jumped directly into Julius Reed’s arms.
This scene couldn’t be more familiar.
But the difference was, Nelson did not draw his sword, but simply buried himself in Julius’s arms, crying passionately.
"It’s okay now."
Julius Reed patted Nelson’s head and said with a smile, "Everything is temporarily over."
"As long as you’re okay." Nelson raised his head, eyes red, and said, "I already lost my master, I can’t lose you too."
"But... Silvio just said he could resurrect your master, even though we don’t know if it’s true or not, I rejected him outright, not giving him any chance to negotiate." Julius said with a wry smile, "I have to be honest with you about this."
The trust between two people is the most priceless thing.
From the beginning of Nelson pursuing Julius Reed to the two of them finally being together, it was incredibly difficult.
They had endured many trials and hardships along the way.
So he could not deceive Nelson.
"I saw the image Silvio sent." Nelson said with a heartfelt smile, "If you had agreed, then you wouldn’t be the man in my heart."
"But I always feel like I let you down. If this opportunity is true, I’m almost personally responsible for killing your master."
Julius took a deep breath.
Silvio really gave him a tough problem!
Now the problem was a bit troublesome.
"What Silvio can do, I believe my man can do as well." Nelson wiped his tears and regained his previous smile, "Since it’s already fine, let’s hurry back."
"Mm." Julius Reed nodded and gently kissed Nelson on the forehead, "I promise you, if Silvio was not lying, I will definitely resurrect your master. Of course, on the condition that he didn’t deceive me."
"Got it." Nelson carefully looked at Julius, asking with concern, "Are you hurt?"
"Not dying."
Julius jumped on the white horse and, together with Nelson, headed towards the location of the Caldwell estate.
There was still a mess of things to handle there.
"Isn’t there really no danger over at the Kunlun Mountains?" Nelson asked with some worry. "Otherwise, should you call Merrill Caldwell now?"
When it came to Julius’s matters, Nelson was generally clear.
Including the Kunlun matter.
Silvio’s deception ultimately failed to fool Julius.
Otherwise, today at the Caldwell estate, it would have been rivers of blood.
And Nelson would have been the first to be brutally mistreated by Silvio, becoming a chip to threaten Julius.
Fortunately, Julius saw through and fought back against Silvio.
But over at the Kunlun Mountains, without Julius, could it go so smoothly?
"Don’t worry, I’ve already arranged for people to go there. Silvio’s original intention was to kill two birds with one stone, double insurance. If he couldn’t catch you, then he would catch Merrill Caldwell."
Julius explained to Nelson, "I had already made arrangements."
"Continuous battles at Kunlun have already weakened them. Silvio sent more powerful people, are you really prepared? But even if you sent people, they might not make it in time!"
Nelson was indeed worried about Merrill Caldwell.
Or rather, she was worried that if something happened to Merrill Caldwell, Julius would be very upset.
Everything stemmed from Julius Reed.
Otherwise, what relationship did she have with Merrill Caldwell?
If there was, perhaps it was as a rival in love.
"People might not make it in time, but some things, they’re not human," Julius said confidently, "No one can escape my schemes, the same goes for Silvio, and Trent Marsh will be the same in the future."
"I am not a mere brute, my brain is never just for display."
After he finished speaking, he urged his horse forward, disappearing into the wasteland.
At the same time!
On the Kunlun Mountains thousands of miles away.
A team of people were carrying flags, trudging through the boundless snowy fields.
Not far from them was the largest architectural complex in the Kunlun Mountains.
The Caldwell Family.
The Caldwell Family remained the most authoritative presence on the Kunlun Mountains, enduring several upheavals, yet maintaining its dominance unchanged.
Even with the sharp decline of gatekeepers in Kunlun, they’ve not lost any members.
Their strength was not weakened, but instead became stronger.
You should know, the head of the Caldwell Family, transformed from a mighty figure into a young girl.
Yet even so, the Caldwell Family remained evergreen.
"We’re about to arrive, let’s finish up the task entrusted by the Fourth Lord as soon as possible. After we’re done, we still need to open the underground palace entrance."
A sturdy man with a beard said somewhat excitedly, "Brothers, the day Fourth Lord rules the world is about to come! By then, we brothers will be in the vanguard, and rewards will not be missing for us!"
"Brother, isn’t the Fourth Lord just trying to kill a girl? Does it really need us?" A companion asked, puzzled.
They were the vanguard under Silvio Reed’s command.
In other words, they were the Imperial Guard!
These people followed Silvio wherever he went, and nearly wherever he went, they followed.
But this time, Silvio made an unprecedented move by sending them here.
This left the vanguard confused.
Targeting a little girl, the vanguard felt insulted.
But this was Silvio’s command, no one dared to rebut.
But as they were about to reach their destination, they still wanted to know.
"This little girl is not ordinary. She has some experts around her, although they’re still no match for us vanguard, but the Fourth Lord is determined this time! He must kill this woman, so he let us carry out the task."
The bearded leader exhaled and couldn’t help but curse, "This Kunlun Mountain, it’s fucking cold!"
"Who says it isn’t, if we were to live here, truly we’d suffer."
"In such a bitter cold place, why did the Fourth Lord build a temple here in the first place?"
The vanguard knowing the target was a little girl, simply didn’t care.
They treaded lightly all the way.
"It is said that beneath the main hall there is a hot spring. If you really start the hall, you can rest assured, it has a constant temperature all year round, very comfortable."
The bearded man was full of anticipation, he chuckled, "Since everyone feels cold, let’s go to the Caldwell Family now, kill that little girl, have a feast, and stay overnight?"
"Deputy captain, that’s a good suggestion! The Caldwell Family, as a prestigious family in Kunlun, probably has good food and drinks. Lucky us brothers!"
"Sleep a little now, rest up. I’m just worried when it comes to killing later, that our hands would freeze up."
The group trudged on with laughter.
Suddenly, a group of people appeared in front of them.
"Oh, so many wastes in Kunlun Mountain?"
A skinny man in the vanguard said with a chuckle.
In their eyes, aside from the Fourth Lord, they saw no one.
They held no regard for anyone else.
"What did you say?"
The man they had almost brushed past stopped, coldly questioning.
