Chapter 51: Chapter 51: Flames of Obsession

RAMON’S POV

I let out a deep, guttural growl as pleasure crashed through me. My cock throbbed hard inside Lorena’s tight, wet pussy, pulsing as I emptied myself deep into her with long, thick ropes of cum. My hips jerked forward one last time, burying myself as far as I could go, grinding against her ass while my balls tightened and drained.

For those few seconds, it wasn’t Lorena I was fucking. It was Sonia. Her soft, innocent body. Her tight little cunt squeezing around me. Her sweet voice moaning my name.

The fantasy broke the second I pulled out.

I shoved Lorena’s body away from me roughly. She stumbled forward, breathing hard, her legs shaky. My cum dripped down her thighs as I tucked my still-hard cock back into my pants and zipped up.

"Much better," I muttered under my breath, trying to steady my breathing.

"You just get better and better, my dear Alpha," Lorena purred, batting her lashes at me as she turned around.

The sight of her, flushed face, messy hair, and my cum leaking from her, made disgust roll through me like bile. She was no longer Sonia. She was just a warm hole I had used to get off.

I had come out of my fantasy, and the reality felt wrong. Disgust wasn’t even strong enough for what I felt in that moment.

"Leave," I said as politely as I could muster.

The smile wiped off her face, and it pleased me to witness. It had dawned on her that there was no time for frivolities.

"Why are you being mean?" She pouted, trying to act cute.

"Get out!" My voice rose a little higher, sending jolts of shock all over her body, which was evident in the way she shuddered.

"Fine! Suit yourself!" She whirled around, and bolted out of the room.

Rolling my eyes, I held my breath as the door opened, and someone else walked in.

The third person in the span of an hour. I was pretty popular this evening.

"Alpha," Blane said as he walked to my bed, and placed the royal pack staff on it. "Now your outfit for tonight is complete."

"Good to know, but that’s not the knowledge I’m most curious about. Tell me," I said.

"Everyone to my knowledge has arrived. Well except Ferins and his delegates. I don’t know if they’ll still be coming. I’ve not heard anything since they confirmed their presence."

"I can hear the drums," I turned away from him, and walked to the windows. "It has begun. Are you sure they’ll still come? If they don’t, this whole thing was for nothing."

"Hopefully, they will. One can only hope, right?"

"Hope?" I played with the word at the tip of my tongue. It wasn’t my favourite word to use. I loved when things were in my control. Hope was too much like putting one’s destiny in the hands of fate. And everyone knew if there was something fate loved, it was to play cruel games.

"Sonia?"

"One of the maids said you asked that she be freed. Did you change your mind?"

"No!" I said firmly behind my shoulders. "I only asked that the shackles be taken, and she be clothed."

"Why? Wasn’t the point for her to look like she was for sale?"

"Enough with the questions, Blane," I said with weariness heavy in my voice.

I was really exhausted. Going through the waviest motions. One minute, I wanted to rain down fire and brimstone. Next, I just wanted peace.

If everything wasn’t so damn intertwined, maybe there would be some salvation in all of this.

"Just do what I ask you to do."

"Yes alpha. I’ll give you some time to bathe, before sending the royal dressers. If you need anything else, call me."

"Everything is prepared, Blane?"

"Everything is."

"Good."

I couldn’t see him, but I knew he bowed before he left the room. He was the same person I was just thinking wanted Sonia.

Maybe I was really losing my mind.

Shaking my head to wade off the stressful thoughts, I made my way to the bathroom.

I scrubbed and watered until my body shone like the moon.

When I stepped out, I could feel the royal dressers outside my door.

"Come in," I called.

They all did.

It took exactly one hour to be done with the dressing.

And immediately after, the trumpets began to blare. The royal dressers bowed, and left me alone.

As I stood, staring at my reflection in the mirror, my mind went to Sonia.

I wondered if she was scared. Uncertainty was a scary concept. She had no idea what plans I had for her. Crazy how I had also almost forgotten what I had planned for her.

Closing my eyes, I sighed. Weeks and months, and even years of planning was fast taking its toll on my soul. There was no time to bask in genuine happiness which was even such a rarity.

In absoluteness, everything faded to nothing in my mind. Only the thought of Sonia lingered. She disturbed my soul. Made me question things that used to be so vividly sure.

"Uncertainties," I muttered, just as everywhere went silent.

It was my cue to move to the sacred ground. As I stepped out of my room with my rod in hand, my Beta was beside me. He bowed, and led me where I needed to be. 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

The alpha’s were gathered in a circle round the burning fire. There was a rope tied to keep the people away from the alpha’s.

They all created a space for me to go through, so they surrounded me and the fire now, whilst I stood directly beside the burning furnace.

A representative from the pack’s elders stepped forward, and began the process of saluting the moon goddess.

It was a call and response session. One I found utterly boring at every festival of alphas I had ever arrested. Unfortunately, my voice had to be the loudest, so I had to participate.

As the response rose higher, so did the flames.

At the end, and together we raised our voices.

"And let the moon goddess be praised."

Something was thrown into the fire, and it rose into the heavens, burning even more ferociously than before.

The crowd broke into howls and cheers. Prayers were done. Now the fun was going to begin.

As I lifted my head, my eyes locked with Daisy’s. She rolled hers and moved away from the circle first.

"There she goes. She thinks she’s special because she’s a woman alpha. The disrespect to step out of the circle first," Zima, alpha of moonhound pack said.

"Better a woman than a fool like you," I heard a voice say.

It sounded almost similar to Ferins, but it wasn’t quite right.

I turned, and realised why. It wasn’t Ferins himself, but one of his son’s. In fact, his very first son. Cade.
