Chapter 511: Chapter 278: Top-tier Real Estate Agent (Part 3)
His tone underwent a dramatic change this time, shifting from professional politeness to a heightened focus, enthusiasm, and even a touch of subtle awe towards a potentially important client.
"Mr. Lin, I received the documents," Kingcade said, his voice filled with astonishment.
"A 300 million dollar asset certificate personally issued by Singh Law Firm, and a formal letter of intent with an offshore trust as the main body... It’s very comprehensive, very professional."
"You’re obviously not in the initial understanding phase, but have already moved into the substantive decision-making process. The professionalism you and your team demonstrated is impressive."
"I am accustomed to completing all preparations before taking action," Lin Yu’an replied, his voice calm and steady.
Billy chuckled softly on the other end of the line, "I very, very much appreciate this methodology, Mr. Lin."
His voice carried a distinct positive signal, with previous caution completely dissipated, replaced with a strong enthusiasm, "So, let me tell you what will happen next."
Kingcade picked up the pace, "My team will immediately compile and package the internal data files of Giant Stone River, including complete and complex water rights reports, potential mineral exploration data, tax records from the past five years, and detailed financial statements of ranch operations."
He paused slightly, emphasizing, "These are things the seller’s broker would never proactively show, things hidden in the deep water. I will personally review every page of the document to ensure you see an unadorned complete map, including any potential pitfalls."
"Within two hours, this confidential file will appear in your email."
He then suggested the next course of action: "Meanwhile, I suggest we arrange a site visit as soon as possible. Documents are dead, but people are alive. What I want to report to you is not just data, but the story behind the family of this land!"
"The real motive for their sale, and the negotiating breakpoints we can exploit, are the key to securing this at an ideal price."
"Okay," Lin Yu’an’s response was concise and powerful, "Once I’m done with these few days, I’ll make a trip to Wyoming."
"No problem." Billy Kingcade’s voice brimmed with energy, "It’s an honor to serve you, Mr. Lin, welcome to the real Wild West."
Lin Yu’an calmly ended the call.
He put down the phone, the warmth inside sharply contrasting with the colder world of business on the other end. He knew that from the moment Billy Kingcade’s tone shifted from scrutiny to "service," the most crucial step in acquiring this kingdom had already been completed.
He turned around to see Aliya and Emily sitting on the sofa in front of the fireplace, their gazes carrying a hint of inquiry.
Emily couldn’t help but ask softly, "Is the call over? What did the... broker say?"
Lin Yu’an showed a confident smile, walked up to them, and said easily, "It’s done, the bait has been cast. Now, we wait for the big fish to bite."
He didn’t continue the topic but instead walked over to the gun rack on the wall, taking down his custom Winchester M70 rifle and a set of professional gun cleaning tools.
He walked to the window and meticulously began to clean his customized .300 Winchester M70 rifle.
The firelight illuminated his focused profile, the cold barrel in his hands reflecting a warm metallic sheen, creating a powerful image.
Time quickly turned to dawn the next day, which pierced the darkness earlier than before.
Aliya and Emily also woke up early, quietly arranging his luggage, filling his backpack with high-calorie jerky and two thermoses filled with hot coffee.
Aliya lastly smoothed his collar, her blue eyes full of worry, her lips moved, but in the end, she said nothing.
They knew, for a man about to embark on the path of hunting, excessive words and reluctance were burdens.
"Be careful," Aliya finally uttered these words, heavy with significance.
As Lin Yu’an walked out of the cabin with his gun, the whole of Wiseman Town was already waking in a suppressed silence.
The pale golden sunlight, for the first time, cast a warm and sharp hue over the boundless snowfields.
The air was crystal clear, each breath carrying the fresh scent of melting ice, tinged with a faint touch of pine needles.
Unlike the city awoken by alarms and traffic noise, here, it was awakened by a shared sense of mission and an underlying threat.
A dozen or so men, dressed in heavy camouflage or deerskin hunting clothes, began to emerge from all corners of the town, gathering at the only clearing at the town’s entrance.
Their weapons varied, from old lever-action rifles to modern bolt-action hunting rifles, each polished to a shine, emanating a cold killing intent.
Their faces bore none of the ease of everyday chatter, replaced with a mix of solemnity and excitement.
They were the guardians of this town, from old hunters like Stan with weathered faces, to young lads with youthful faces yet attempting a fierce look, to the town’s only silent, grease-stained mechanic with thick fingers.
Today, they all shared one identity: Hunter.
The enemy was the pack of North American Gray Wolves, which had grown hungry over the entire winter and begun to cast greedy eyes on human homes.
Lin Yu’an’s appearance immediately caused a small stir.
"Hey! Lin’s here!" a young man named Jack Laue shouted excitedly, as if seeing a backbone.
"Great! With Lin here, we’ll definitely take down that damned lead wolf today!"
But not everyone was so optimistic. An older hunter, stout and seemingly in his sixties, looked Lin Yu’an up and down with a scrutinizing eye, noting his expensive and brand-new gear.
With a hint of mockery in his tone, he said, "Stan, we’re going wolf hunting, not attending an outdoor gear expo! Is he really up to it?"
The atmosphere instantly became somewhat tense.
Stan came over, giving Lin Yu’an a heavy pat on the shoulder, telling Buck, "Shut up, Old Buck! Put away your arrogant demeanor. Lin’s absolutely better than anyone here!"
Then Stan turned to Lin Yu’an, an old yet well-maintained Remington Model 700 rifle in his hand.
"Are you ready, Lin?"
Lin Yu’an didn’t immediately answer, but calmly looked at Buck, displaying the cold, determined gaze of a hunter toward its prey.
This indirect yet firm response choked Buck, who could see that gaze was definitely battle-hardened! He snorted, muttering, "Well, we’ll see how good he is in the woods."
Lin Yu’an retracted his gaze, then answered Stan’s question, "Of course I’m ready, my friend."
His response was concise and powerful, as he looked around, noting that every person’s eyes burned with the same flame.
This was a kind of cohesion long lost in the civilized world, and here, complexity of social roles vanished.
Every man, when necessary, had to pick up a weapon and collectively fend off threats from the wilderness.
Behind them were their wives, children, and homes. There was no retreat.
