Chapter 987: Chapter 55 Subduing the Bone Dragon_3

Kary walked out, stopping at the door to instruct, "Alright, I’ll arrange what I can. Brother, you should also start preparing on your end! As a renowned strategist, you should understand the importance of not engaging in battle unprepared. Though we hope for peace, when the wolf comes, we must strike it head-on with all our might."

Aldos expressed his gratitude, "Thank you, Brother Kary. Please take care as well, the major affairs of the Mage Guild still require your control."

Kary did not speak further, walking out of the secret room and leading his magicians back to the Mage Guild. Shortly after their return, Aldos dispatched a thousand-member Forbidden Guard to station around the Guild, keeping all passersby under their watch.

In the following three days, the Province of Light’s army began a large-scale mobilization under the guise of training, with eight elite legions and a hundred-member mage legion gathering at the border between the Empire of Huasheng and the Empire of Sunset City. With powerful national backing, logistical support swiftly amassed towards the front. Among the four great empires, the Empire of Huasheng was the best situated geographically. To their south lay the coastline and to the east were the Death Mountain Range and Tian Gang Mountain Range, which separated them from the Federation. To the north was the Holy Church. Only the west, the Empire of Sunset City, posed a threat. Though the Federation was the strongest and most expansive, divided into six major races, it posed no threat to any nation.

The next morning, Ah Dai finally awoke from his coma. Since his Dantian had acquired the Silver Body, his True Qi moved slowly even without deliberate cultivation. After a day’s rest, his internal energy completely stabilized, and his power had recovered significantly.

Opening his eyes, Ah Dai’s consciousness gradually returned. The pain all over his body made him groan softly. Looking around, he was alone in an unfamiliar room. Ah Dai felt exceptionally heavy-hearted. He had thought that after the teachings of his master, the Sword Saint of Tian Gang, he would have enough strength to travel the continent and seek revenge against the Assassin’s Guild. Yet, mere assassins and a few magicians had left him helpless. How could he possibly avenge Uncle Owen? His life-altering power was immense, but his strength wasn’t enough to sustain it for long. When would he reach the realm where he could seize the creation of heaven and earth like his master? A sense of decay pervaded his heart, leaving his body feeling even weaker.

As Ah Dai was lost in his thoughts, the door opened, and Yan Shi and Yan Li walked in. Yan Li said, "Big brother, the meals at the Mage Guild are really good; even breakfast has so many options."

Yan Shi replied annoyed, "All you think about is food. Ah Dai has been unconscious for a day, and you don’t even know if he’s gotten any better. We’re really unlucky, just came to collect money and ended up getting involved in the disputes between the Assassin’s Guild and the Mage Guild."

Ah Dai struggled to sit up, "Brother Yan Shi, you’re back. Is this, this the Mage Guild?"

Seeing Ah Dai awake, Yan Shi became overjoyed and hurried over to support his body, saying, "Brother, we’re in the Mage Guild. How are you feeling, are your injuries better? Why did you go all out that day?"

Ah Dai smiled bitterly, "I couldn’t just watch those assassins harm the people of the Mage Guild."

Yan Shi turned to Yan Li, "You take care of Ah Dai here, I’ll go inform Chairman Kary about his awakening." With that, he stood up and walked out.

Yan Li took Yan Shi’s place, allowing Ah Dai to lean on his shoulder, saying, "Brother, you really are impressive! To withstand so many assassins attacking you, in one word, strong."

Ah Dai sighed, "My strength is still too weak, otherwise, I wouldn’t have been severely injured. Who did Brother Yan Shi mention - this Kary?"

Yan Li replied, "Kary is the head here; I didn’t expect this to be the headquarter of the Mage Guild. Those magicians are all really grateful to you! Without you, many of them might have died at the hands of the assassins. What was with those two big guys that day, their power was terrifying!"

Ah Dai then remembered the Bone Dragon, still contained within the Dragon’s Blood. The power of the Bone Dragon was strong, yet it paled in comparison to the ten-thousand-year-old giant spirit snake from the Tian Gang mountains. If he were at his peak, the solid state energy transformed by his life-altering power should be able to defeat it. A thought struck him, "That Bone Dragon was summoned by the dark magician who was with the assassins; as for that dragon, it seems like I summoned it." The Sword Saint had warned him never to lightly speak of the Divine Dragon. 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

Yan Li exclaimed in awe, "Brother, your magic is also amazing, I’ve never heard of anyone who could summon a dragon. I was wrong to label your magic as poor."

"Yes, Summon Dragon, not just you haven’t heard of it, even I, the Chairman of the Mage Guild, have never heard of it." The door opened, and Kary and Yan Shi walked in. He was still dressed in his yellow magic robe, wearing a light smile. He quickly walked to the bedside, smiling, "You’re Ah Dai, right? We really owe you a lot this time. Without you, our losses at the Mage Guild would have been substantial."
