Chapter 944: Chapter 46: Dragon Egg Hatching_3

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang seemed to suddenly remember something and said to Ah Dai, "That’s right, what was that Blue Dragon Shaped Energy you used to fend off Xuan Ye’s attack yesterday? It actually devoured Xuan Ye’s magic."

Ah Dai was startled and said, "Blue Dragon Shaped Energy? I don’t know! Ah, could it be the Dragon’s Blood?" Saying so, he took out the Dragon’s Blood from inside his collar.

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang frowned slightly, feeling the immense energy contained within the Dragon’s Blood, and said, "This is a nice treasure. You call it the Dragon’s Blood, is it the same Dragon’s Blood that belonged to the first Pope God Feather? How did it end up in your hands?"

Ah Dai replied, "It is that Dragon’s Blood, given to me by Prophet Pu Lin of the Pu Yan clan." Then, he recounted the encounter with the Prophet of the Pu Yan, not hiding a single detail.

After listening to Ah Dai’s account, the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang took a deep breath, trying to contain his excitement, "He said you are the Savior who will save us from the millennia catastrophe? Hmm, it seems my decision to pass my skills on to you was the right one. The prophets of the Pu Yan tribe indeed possess abilities beyond ordinary people. Ah Dai, you must work even harder. If you truly are the Savior he spoke of, then you will have to contend with the disaster of a millennium."

Ah Dai scratched his head and said, "Master, you all talk about some millennia catastrophe, but what exactly is it?"

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang shook his head and said, "I don’t know the specifics either, but in six years, it will be the millennial year of the sacred calendar mentioned by Pu Lin. By then, everything will become clear."

The Dragon’s Blood suddenly trembled, startling Ah Dai. He clearly felt as if something within the Dragon’s Blood was calling out to him. Instinctively recalling the Dragon Egg given to him by the Elf Queen, he hurriedly chanted, "With the Dragon’s Blood as a guide, open now, the gate of time and space." A blue light blazed forth. However, instead of the Dragon Egg, a pitch-black creature floated out, gently twisting.

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang was also taken aback and asked, "Ah Dai, what is this?"

Ah Dai gazed blankly at the small creature that had landed on the ground and said, "Master, back when I was in the Elf Forest, the Elf Queen gave me a Dragon Egg, which I kept inside the Dragon’s Blood. I just felt it move, so I took it out, but it’s no longer an egg. Could it be, could it be that it has hatched?"

Ah Dai and the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang looked at each other in bewilderment and exclaimed in unison, "A dragon." Both turned their gaze to the creature that had flown out. It was about a meter in length and looked like a giant tadpole with its plump body, smooth skin all over in a dark grey, four short limbs underneath, and golden pupils glittering in eyes set upon its forehead. From the forehead to the back, seven small protrusions extended as if something within wanted to break through. On either side of the body, two small flesh wings were folded, also in dark grey. The body kept twisting on the ground, emitting a faint sound. It radiated a faint malevolent aura, yet its small eyes exuded a hint of holiness when they opened and closed.

Ah Dai felt an affinity for the creature he did not understand, not knowing it was the result of the equal pact made earlier. Moreover, as the first person the creature saw upon birth, a natural bond was formed. He crouched down and gently stroked the creature’s head. The creature turned its head and blinked its small eyes at Ah Dai, then let out a joyful cry and abruptly pounced on him. Startled, Ah Dai quickly embraced it in his arms and murmured, "You, are you a dragon?"

The creature seemed to understand Ah Dai’s words, gently nodded its head, and stretched out its pink tongue to continuously lick his face, behaving very affectionately.

Embracing its soft body, Ah Dai felt very comfortable and, looking at the astonished Sword Saint of the Tian Gang, said, "Master, is this what a dragon is like?"

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang smiled wryly and said, "I never thought I’d live to see a dragon in my old age. It should be something like this, I suppose. It seems to like you quite a bit." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞

The Little Black Dragon nodded repeatedly, agreeing with the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang. Ah Dai said, "Master, what should we do with it? The Elf Queen Auntie said I could be friends with it. Can I?"

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang suddenly burst into laughter, and both the Little Black Dragon and Ah Dai stared at him in surprise. After a while, the laughter subsided, and the Sword Saint of the Tian Gang said excitedly, "Of course you can be friends with him. Who would have expected that my disciple would become the first Dragon Knight on the continent, and probably the last one too. Now I believe even more in Prophet Pu Lin’s words."

Ah Dai tried to put the Little Black Dragon down, but it refused, clinging tightly to his collar with its short front claws. Its wings beat gently. Ah Dai said, "Master, I can’t ride it— we are friends!"

The Sword Saint of the Tian Gang shook his head noncommittally and said, "As a dragon, it should be quite powerful. How come it doesn’t have any scales? I wonder what abilities it has."

The Little Black Dragon, as if determined to show its abilities, released its hold on Ah Dai and beat its wings continuously. But unfortunately, its wing strength evidently did not match its body weight, and it stayed aloft for less than a second before crashing to the ground with a thud. The Little Black Dragon cried out sadly, its small eyes filled with a look of aggrievement.
