Chapter 904: Chapter 38 Achieving Adult Beauty_3

Xuan Yue stood alongside Yan Shi and Yan Li, her body trembling slightly from nervousness within. Her eyes revealed an anxious look as she murmured under her breath, "Ah Dai, you mustn’t choose someone else as your bride! You just can’t!" She didn’t understand why she was so nervous, but she felt that Ah Dai, like a part of herself, couldn’t be taken away by anyone else.

Kundu’s gaze fell upon Lan Yin, his face showing excitement, while Ah Dai kept his head down, seemingly lost in thought. The Chief of the Northern Tribes naturally noticed Kundu looking at his daughter and smiled, saying, "Two brave warriors, who will choose first?"

Suddenly, Ah Dai raised his head and said, "Chieftain, as a man of an alien race, may I have the priority to choose." At his words, it was as if thunder had struck next to Xuan Yue’s ears. Her body swayed, and she almost collapsed to the ground. Yan Li commented, "That kid Ah Dai is quite something! Taking the initiative to find a black beauty as a wife isn’t bad at all, haha."

Yan Shi shot Yan Li a glance and steadied the pale-faced Xuan Yue, saying, "If you don’t understand anything, then speak less and just watch."

Under normal circumstances, Xuan Yue would have detected the underlying meaning in Yan Shi’s words, but at that moment, her heart was in turmoil, and she could no longer pay attention to anything else. Her hands tightly clutched her clothes, her lips trembling slightly, and her palms were filled with nervous sweat.

The Chief of the Northern Tribes was taken aback and turned to Kundu, saying, "Do you have any objections?"

Kundu glanced at Ah Dai, thinking to himself that the foolish boy likely wouldn’t choose sensibly. Letting him choose first was no big deal. Moreover, Lan Yin was standing towards the back, so the chances of him choosing her were slim. With that thought, he gestured magnanimously and said, "Since this brother is a distinguished guest from an alien race, you may choose first."

The Chief of the Northern Tribes praised, "Good, indeed befitting the magnanimity of our Yanlie tribe. Warrior from an alien race, please—"

Ah Dai nodded and replied, "Thank you." With that, he walked out alone. When he reached about ten meters in front of the bonfire, he spoke loudly, "I am deeply grateful to our Yanlie tribe friends for giving me this opportunity, and I believe in destiny. I’d like to tell everyone that I am actually a Magician. I have a small spell that I would like to perform for everyone. Whomever the magic lands in front of, will be the one I have chosen." After speaking, Ah Dai, under the astonished gaze of the Yanlie tribe folks, began to chant softly, "Elements of fire that fill the heavens and earth, grant me your warm power, coalesce into a sphere, appear in my hand." With the chant, a red fireball about five centimeters in diameter appeared in Ah Dai’s hand. He did not use his full power, but the fiery red fireball elicited exclamations of surprise from all the Yanlie tribespeople who were mostly unaware of the existence of magic.

Under Ah Dai’s control, the fireball ascended into the air, circling above the bonfire before swiftly flying towards the young Yanlie women.

A white light bullet, out of nowhere, flew towards the fireball. Ah Dai was startled; he was well aware that aside from him, the only other person who could use magic here was Xuan Yue. Shocked, he maneuvered the fireball to dodge the incoming light bullet, sending it into the crowd.

It turned out that Xuan Yue, seeing that Ah Dai was truly about to choose a bride, acted in desperation. Unable to use a larger spell in time, she released a light bullet in an attempt to stop him. Although Xuan Yue’s magical power, greatly enhanced by the Angel Wand, was obviously stronger than Ah Dai’s, her control over magic was far inferior. Initially, she managed to keep up with Ah Dai’s fireball, but after several twists and turns, the light bullet was led astray by his fireball and crashed into a tree. Just as she was about to release another one, the fireball had already plunged into the crowd, landing right in front of Lan Yin’s feet with the girls’ screams before instantly extinguishing.

Lan Yin was startled; she had assumed that Kundu, who often pestered her, would surely choose her, but, incredibly, this odd foreign youth had chosen her with such a method, stirring an unusual feeling in her heart.

Blocked from view by others, The Chief of the Northern Tribes didn’t realize his daughter was the chosen one and called out loudly, "The selected girl, step forward."

Lan Yin glanced at the despairing Aguti next to her, then, steeling herself, walked out of the line. With surprised exclamations from the Yanlie tribespeople, she walked up to Ah Dai.

Xuan Yue, too, was engulfed in despair. Biting her lower lip, her whole body trembling, she watched Ah Dai. She hadn’t expected him to be so resolute in choosing a bride, and she couldn’t describe the bitter feeling in her heart. With a soft whimper, she turned and ran away. Tears fell relentlessly, casting Xuan Yue’s sorrow into the air. Yan Li was about to give chase but was held back by Yan Shi, who said, "Chasing after her won’t do any good. It takes the one who tied the knot to untie it. Let Ah Dai finish up here and he will chase after her."

Ah Dai, unaware that Xuan Yue had vanished, only noticed when Lan Yin approached that the black beauty possessed an astonishing allure. Her petite and graceful figure, combined with those captivating, bright eyes, exuded an allure of an alien race. The Chief of the Northern Tribes, upon discovering his daughter had been chosen, displayed mixed feelings. He was glad that the foreign warrior had taken a liking to his daughter, but he was also troubled because of Aguti. He knew Aguti fancied Lan Yin, and he liked the earnest young man, but Aguti’s status was simply not a match for his daughter. This was the last chance he had given Aguti, but the young man had failed to live up to the challenge, ultimately losing to Kundu.
