Chapter 871: Chapter 31 Elves’ Tribulation_5
Ah Dai nodded and said, "Brother Moon Scar, do you think we can beat them?"
Moon Scar replied, "I don’t know either. It’s hard to gauge their abilities just from appearances, but they all use short-bladed weapons, so they’re likely quite skilled. The shorter the weapon, the more dangerous the martial arts."
Yan Shi clearly sensed that the men in black had already made a concession and said coldly, "You tell us, how shall we compare?"
The man in black stated, "It’s simple. We take turns fighting. Anyone who loses is out of the contest, and the side whose seven men are all defeated will be considered the loser. However, I hope you won’t use lethal force. Otherwise, I’m afraid our people might lose control of their emotions."
Yan Shi ignored the other party’s threat and said indifferently, "Then let’s begin. Who will go first from your side?"
The leader of the men in black glanced to his left and said, "Xiao Qi, you go." The man in black on the far left vanished in a flash, already standing in the center between the two parties. The speed was so astonishing that it took Yan Shi by surprise. He understood that his primary advantage lay in strength and found it troublesome to deal with such fast warriors. While he hesitated whether to step forward himself, Miao Fei had already dashed out. Clasping the tip of his Soft Sword in his left hand, he spoke disdainfully, "Allow me to see what remarkable skills you thieves and scoundrels possess."
The man in black was also of a slim build, with large eyes that were now narrowed into slits. Two cold glints focused on Miao Fei, who seemingly failed to provoke the man. The man stood slightly hunched and said coldly, "Be careful." His voice was low and hoarse. As soon as he finished speaking, his figure blurred, and Miao Fei suddenly lost sight of him. Shocked at the man’s incredible speed, which rivaled his own, Miao Fei instinctively circled his Soft Sword around him, creating a dense layer of sword shadows. After two light clinks, Miao Fei felt his sword receiving two sharp bursts of Battle Aura. He desperately channeled his own Battle Aura to counteract it, but couldn’t prevent the sharp aura from piercing through. Excruciating pain shot up from his hand, and his Soft Sword dropped to the ground. He felt a chill on his neck as the short blade was now resting on his shoulder. The intense killing intent left Miao Fei daring not to move an inch. Just when he thought his life was about to end, the killing intent vanished, and the man in black reappeared at his initial position, saying flatly, "You’ve lost."
Miao Fei stood there pale-faced, unable to believe he hadn’t been able to withstand a single move.
Moon Scar stepped forward to support Miao Fei and nodded towards the man in black, saying, "Thank you for showing mercy." His heart was also unsettled; the fight had made it clear that Miao Fei was not even close to his opponent’s level. Even though Moon Scar’s own skills were slightly better than Miao Fei’s, the difference was marginal.
It wasn’t just Moon Scar who was frightened; everyone else was stunned by the man in black’s move. Upon reflection, none felt confident they could withstand the odd attack they had just witnessed.
Yan Shi gritted his teeth, about to step into the ring himself, but then felt someone gripping his shoulder. It was Ah Dai. Ah Dai nodded at Yan Shi and said, "Big brother, let me go." Ah Dai had no assurances either; the man in black’s strange movement technique had left him anxious. Yet the thought of kind Elves being sold into slavery by these people heated his mind impulsively, urging Yan Shi to allow him to fight.
Yan Shi knew that Ah Dai’s martial arts skills were comparable to his own, and Ah Dai also knew some Magic. He thought to himself that perhaps Ah Dai might stand a chance. He nodded and said, "Be very careful."
Ah Dai responded, drew the Tian Gang Heavy Sword from behind him, and stepped in front of the man in black. Holding the hilt of the Tian Gang Sword with both hands, an impressive white Battle Aura emanated from him as he faced his opponent and said, "Please enlighten me." As soon as he finished speaking, Ah Dai immediately began to exert the True Qi within his body, disregarding the man in black’s presence as if he were surrounded by an immense sea, his aura surging toward his opponent in wave after wave.
A hint of surprise flickered in the man in black’s eyes. He crouched slightly, countering Ah Dai’s aura. He felt his own Qi being locked down by Ah Dai; one slight move and he was sure to provoke a thunderous strike from his adversary. The two stood facing each other, neither moving for what seemed like an eternity.
