Chapter 828: Chapter 22 Pu Yan Warrior_4

Xuan Yue ran to Ah Dai’s side and asked anxiously, "How are you?"

Ah Dai coughed twice, passed over the Tian Gang Sword, supporting his own body, and said, "I’m fine."

Xuan Yue chanted in a low voice, "Great Sky God! Please lend me Your divine power, merciful to all people, to smooth over the wounds before me. Divine Healing Technique." As she chanted the spell, a ball of white light emerged from the magic wand, which flashed and instantly entered Ah Dai’s body.

A warm feeling immediately filled Ah Dai’s meridians. His own True Qi already possessed a certain Sacred Aura, and when Xuan Yue’s light magic entered his body, it instantly stimulated his life energy, making his chest feel much more comfortable.

Taking a deep breath, Ah Dai nodded to Xuan Yue and said, "Thank you, miss."

The soldiers from the Pu Yan Tribe who had come with Yan Shi all dismounted one after another, standing guard by Yan Shi’s side, holding up their sabers high, looking fiercely determined as if ready to fight at any moment.

Ah Dai looked up at Yan Shi, who still appeared to be in a daze, as if he couldn’t believe he had been defeated. "Big brother, I wonder if your word counts. Can we go now?" Ah Dai asked politely, a faint smile on his face. The sword strike that had just occurred had scared him as well, and he was sincerely relieved that Yan Shi wasn’t hurt.

Yan Shi was awakened by Ah Dai’s voice, his face showing an embarrassed expression. He said to Ah Dai, "Brother, you really have good skills. Thank you for showing mercy. Yan Shi admits defeat. May I ask if the weapon you used is the Tian Gang Sword?"

Ah Dai nodded and said, "It is indeed the Tian Gang Sword."

A spark of joy flashed in Yan Shi’s eyes as he approached Ah Dai. Wan Li quickly stepped forward, blocking Ah Dai, and looked at Yan Shi warily, "What do you want?"

Yan Shi spread his hands, the arrogance he had shown earlier nowhere to be seen, and said amiably, "I mean no harm, I just want to talk with this brother for a bit."

Xuan Yue moved closer to Ah Dai and said, "What’s there to talk about? Ah Dai has already beaten you, so you should let us pass now. We are really short on time."

Yan Shi looked at Xuan Yue, then at Ah Dai, and said, "Brother, my name is Yan Shi. When I was young, I was fortunate to receive a few days of guidance from the Tian Gang Sword Sect’s great disciple, Teacher Xi Wen. So it seems we are actually sect brothers. I truly have no ill intentions. Since you’re related to the Tian Gang Sect, you must not be a bad person, and you can pass through our territory."

Ah Dai was momentarily stunned and said, "So Brother Yan Shi is also from the Tian Gang Sword Sect! My uncle is too. My name is Ah Dai, and my Tian Gang Sword was taught to me by my uncle. Brother Yan Shi, then we’ll be taking our leave."

Yan Shi chuckled and said, "How about this? It’s difficult for outsiders to travel within the borders of our Pu Yan Tribe. I shall escort you for a part of the way."

The sudden turn of events somewhat disconcerted Moon Scar and Yue Ji. Yue Ji snorted coldly, "Who knows what you’re plotting? Entering your territory, wouldn’t we be at your mercy?"

Yan Shi replied with slight anger, "I swear on the honor of the son of the Pu Yan Tribe’s Clan Leader, I, Yan Shi, have absolutely no deceit in my heart."

Moon Scar and the other four members of the Mercenary Corps, other than Ah Dai and Xuan Yue, were shocked all at once. They could hardly believe that the burly man before them was the son of a Clan Leader of one of the six major races of the Federation, the Pu Yan Tribe.

Playing with her magic wand, Xuan Yue said indifferently, "Who cares whose son you are? If you want to come along, then let’s go quickly. Brother Moon Scar, let us get in the carriage." With that, she turned and walked away toward the carriage.

"Brother Ah Dai," Yan Shi called out to Ah Dai, who was about to join Xuan Yue in the carriage, "Let’s ride together. I have some questions for you."

Ah Dai turned his head to look at Xuan Yue, who glanced at Yan Shi and said, "Go then, go. If your wounds get jostled, I will not care for you. Hmph." With that, she boarded the carriage herself.

With a chuckle, Yan Shi had one of his men give his mount to Ah Dai and shouted, "Brothers, clear the path ahead."

It was the first time Ah Dai had ridden a horse, and he couldn’t help but feel nervous. As he mounted, the tall horse swayed, and with the weight of over a hundred pounds plus the Tian Gang Sword, it was indeed a bit heavy. Ah Dai held on tightly to the reins, clamping his legs firmly around the horse’s belly, his face showing an embarrassed color because his horse stayed put, not moving forward at all.

Seeing Ah Dai’s posture, Yan Shi knew he couldn’t ride and laughed, "What’s the matter? Brother Ah Dai, is this your first time on a horse?"

Ah Dai nodded, his face red.

"No worries," Yan Shi laughed, "Riding a horse is quite straightforward. Let me teach you a few tricks. Don’t be so stiff all over, relax a bit, lean forward, and gently tap the horse’s belly; it will walk forward. Yes, that’s right. Don’t hold the reins too tight; let them be a little looser, or the horse will feel uncomfortable. See, isn’t that better? When turning, your body should lean towards that direction, then gently guide the reins and the horse will follow your command. When you want it to stop, lean back and pull the reins simultaneously."

As Ah Dai followed Yan Shi’s instructions, he managed to urge his steed forward, gradually picking up speed - a bumpy but intriguing sensation.

Moon Scar and the others had already boarded the carriage, and as soon as he was on, Miao Fei couldn’t wait to ask Xuan Yue, "Miss Xuan Yue, why have we never heard that Ah Dai could perform martial arts?"
