Chapter 791: Episode 2 Chapter 15 Magic Test_1

Feng Ping thought that Ah Dai refrained from saying his master’s name out of respect, so he wasn’t bothered by it. He laughed and said, "A young lad who respects his seniors, very good, worthy of being part of our Tian Gang Sect. Come, let’s find a place to have a good chat." As he said this, he pulled Ah Dai by the arm and walked off.

Originally, Ah Dai did not want to go with him, but Owen had instructed him not to be disrespectful to members of the Tian Gang Sword Sect. With no other choice, he let Feng Ping lead him towards the back of the Mercenary Guild.

Behind the Mercenary Guild was a large practice arena, where mercenaries without assignments often practiced their martial arts. Upon entering the arena, there were quite a few people practicing their skills. Upon seeing Feng Ping, many greeted him with a saluting gesture, calling him "brother Feng" or "captain Feng".

Feng Ping greeted everyone in return, bringing Ah Dai to the center of the arena. He said, "Alright, here is good." He then drew the large sword from his back, smiling as he said, "Since you won’t say your master’s name, let uncle guess. Once I’ve tested a few moves of your Tian Gang Sword style, I’ll definitely be able to guess who your senior brother is."

Ah Dai stood there dumbfounded, unsure of what to do. Like a newborn baby in society, he didn’t understand anything.

Feng Ping said, "Draw your sword! Let uncle give you some pointers." As he spoke, he gripped his sword with both hands. A faint white light pulsed from the tip of his sword, it was Pure Life Qi.

Seeing Feng Ping use Pure Life Qi, Ah Dai felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity, as if Owen had come back to life and was about to spar with him. Since this uncle said he was from the Tian Gang Sword Sect, then the man in front of him must be his senior uncle, right? Drawing his Tian Gang Sword, Ah Dai respectfully said, "Senior Uncle, please advise me." The scenes of Owen teaching him with a twig flashed through his mind. With a slightly red eye, Ah Dai raised his Tian Gang Sword high, shouted loudly, and Pure Life Qi surged out, carrying a strand of white light. Just like his usual practice of splitting waves, he suddenly swung down. The unstoppable momentum instantly made the red-haired man retreat a few steps.

Feng Ping’s eyes lit up as he shouted, "Great momentum!" Holding the wide sword with both hands, he suddenly swung upwards, just in time to meet Ah Dai’s sword.

Ah Dai felt his inner Pure Life Qi surging out like a wave. His white Qi instantly produced faint ripples. With a "clang", the two Tian Gang wide swords collided in mid-air. The recoil made Ah Dai take a step back. It felt like this senior uncle’s power was not as strong as Uncle Owen’s.

Feng Ping retreated three steps to stabilize his stance. He was shocked; the Qi on Ah Dai’s sword was the proud Pure Life Qi of the Tian Gang Sword Sect! But it was different from his own. The child in front of him had released three waves of Qi with one single sword strike that were not weaker than his own, and his depth of cultivation seemed to be even above his own. As far as he knew, there was no senior brother who would be able to train such an outstanding disciple. He turned his retreat into an advance, his body’s Qi erupted, and he turned into a long rainbow and sharply rushed towards Ah Dai. This was one of the moves from the Tian Gang Swordsmanship, called Rainbow Through the Sun.

The previous exchange boosted Ah Dai’s confidence. He shouted again and made another downward chop with his sword, still using the simplest Splitting Chop from the nine moves he had learned from the Tian Gang Swordsmanship.

Feng Ping watched as Ah Dai’s Tian Gang Sword again swung towards his own and found himself unable to change his move. For some reason, he felt that Ah Dai’s strike had enclosed all angles around him, and he had no choice but to forcefully resist it. With a "clang", Ah Dai took a step back once again but also dissolved Feng Ping’s move at the same time. Their fight instantly gathered many mercenaries. These mercenaries were of lower ranks and their skills were not high, they only enjoyed watching the fight.

As Feng Ping landed, his breath was a bit ragged. He sent away the surrounding mercenaries, pulled Ah Dai to one side, and praised, "Good swordsmanship lad, you must be among the top performers in our sword sect. Quickly tell me, who was your teacher?"

Ah Dai put his Tian Gang sword back into the large leather bag on his back and after thinking for a moment with his sluggish brain, said, "I, I do not know my master’s name. He simply taught me swordsmanship."

Feng Ping said, "Then you tell me, where is your master now?" In his mind, the senior brothers with better martial skills were all cultivating in seclusion within the sect. As long as this clueless boy in front of him would tell where his master is, he would certainly be able to guess which senior brother he was.

Ah Dai’s eyes reddened, "My master, he, he is already dead." Thinking of Owen’s death, Ah Dai couldn’t help but feel grief welling up in his heart, tears flowed down.

Feng Ping was shocked and blurted out, "What did you say?" He kept asking Ah Dai questions, Ah Dai, left with no choice, reluctantly described Owen’s appearance once again. But no matter how much Feng Ping pondered, he just couldn’t figure out who this deceased senior brother could be. It seemed he would have to wait until he returned to the sect to ask the master.

"Ah Dai, how did your master die?"

Ah Dai knew he could not answer this question, hesitated for a long time, and said, "He was killed by a group of people in black. I don’t know why. My master, before his death, asked me to wander in the Continent. I just ended up here."

Feng Ping patted Ah Dai’s shoulder and said, "Alright, don’t be upset anymore. How about this, you go back to the mountain with me in a few days. I will take you to see our Great Ancestor Master, he will definitely seek justice for your master."

Ah Dai was stunned, thinking, did uncle have a master too? But he didn’t dare to ask, "Senior Uncle, I, I can’t go back to the mountain with you yet. My master gave me a few tasks before he died. Once I have completed them, I will go back with you." What he wanted to do most now was to register as a magician, and the other thing was to hurry back to the Illusive Forest to see his master Goris. If he went to the Tian Gang Sword Sect with Feng Ping, it would inevitably delay a lot of time.
