Chapter 778: Chapter 208: The Kind Grim Reaper (Including Epilogue)_2
Exhilaration flooded Hades’ heart as he successfully annihilated his enemy without sustaining too much damage. It was simply too good to be true. In his euphoria, he noticed the look of disdain on Ah Dai’s face just before his body disintegrated entirely. Despite suffering from the powerful strike of the Netherworld Cycle, Ah Dai did not let out a groan or a scream of pain. Witnessing this, a sense of foreboding chilled Hades’ heart. But it was too late. The Nether Prism was brightly illuminated by a blade of light from the Netherworld. Hades realized, in using the Netherworld Cycle, his power had been severely depleted and his body had been fully immobilized. Although the immobilization was temporary, it was still long enough to create significant issues. With the cessation of Hades’ evil power, the Nether Prism shattered, and Hades Vincent reemerged into the Divine and Demonic realm. Despite his efforts, he was only able to turn his body around in his frozen state. Before him stood the clear silhouette of Ah Dai, shockingly alive against all odds. Hades was horrified, unable to comprehend why Ah Dai hadn’t been defeated. But it was all too late. The dark green light emanating from Ah Dai’s body had spread into the Divine and Demonic realm. Even if the demon lords brought by Hades wanted to save him, they were too late—they wouldn’t be able to break the blockade put up by Ah Dai, who was burning with all his divine power.
Ah Dai slowly raised the Grim Reaper Scythe above his head, its illusory shadow in his grasp. His eyes had completely turned into dark green flames, "Vincent, you’ve been fooled. Burn, endless fire of the Grim Reaper. I, in the name of Grim Reaper Mandun and invoking the Power of the Reaper, summon the world-ending Kiss of Death! Unleash your unlimited divine power." The Grim Reaper Scythe began to twist in a strange manner, a power never seen before converging on Ah Dai like a river flowing into the ocean. Hades Vincent, immobilized, was terrified to find that this enormous power had surpassed the strength of his Netherworld Cycle. Such a powerful attack, given the circumstances, would completely annihilate him, even as the ruler of the Netherworld. He wanted to struggle, but Ah Dai’s divine power had reached its peak, and his magic power hadn’t recovered. He could only watch helplessly as the distorted glow of the Grim Reaper Scythe grew stronger and stronger.
The reason why Ah Dai could turn the situation to his advantage lied in his calm mind. When Hades attacked him with the Nether Wave, he easily dissolved it using a technique he learned from Owen’s instructions on splitting the waves. Because the Nether Wave could no longer pose a threat to him, he had been continuously thinking about how to annihilate Hades. At the conclusion of the Nether Wave attack, he spotted the Dragon’s Blood on his chest and used the restored power of the Grim Reaper to absorb his entire body into the Dragon’s Blood, swiftly amassing a massive amount of divine power. The Nether Wave attack concluded just as Ah Dai had predicted: Hades Vincent noticed the existence of the Dragon’s Blood and moved closer to him. Without hesitation, Ah Dai launched his attack, slipped in a light hit, and he had expected Hades’ swift response. As Hades launched the Netherworld Cycle, Ah Dai activated the Clone of Goris’s Wish, while teleporting himself to Hades’ back using his immense divine power. Given Hades Vincent’s capabilities, he should have been able to detect Ah Dai. However, the euphoria of defeating a great opponent and the weakened magic power due to a light hit made him blindly confident in his power. While Ah Dai’s clone was torn apart by the Netherworld Cycle, Ah Dai himself had already made all preparations to trap Hades, the ruler of the Demon Realm, in a desperate situation.
The huge light blade of the Grim Reaper Scythe seemed to drain all energy in the area and with a sudden movement, it slashed towards Hades. Both Gods and Demons were stunned. They never could have imagined that the day would come when the mighty ruler of the Demon Realm, Hades, would face death. The enormous energy formed by the scythe blade made the first contact with Hades’ body. The Brahman Devil Armor emitted a dazzling purple light as it tried to resist Ah Dai’s attack with all its might. However, even the top-tier Divine Artifact could no longer dissipate the power of the Grim Reaper Scythe which was at its peak. With a huge explosion, Hades spewed out dark blue blood, and the Brahman Devil Armor turned into dust under the energy of the Grim Reaper Scythe. The top-level Divine Artifact exerted its greatness by exploding, causing the Grim Reaper Scythe to waiver, which momentarily slowed Ah Dai’s attack. During this pause, Ah Dai clearly saw the baffled look in Hades’ eyes. Yes, it was bafflement. Faced with death, Hades had lost his fear, and all that was left in his deeply red eyes was pure bewilderment.
Both Gods and Demons, or any high-level being in their two realms, have a spiritual imprint located in the space between their eyebrows. Once this imprint is eradicated by immense energy, it immediately disappears—completely and utterly.
The Grim Reaper Scythe dropped down again, its dark green glow vanishing in an instant. Simultaneously, a seven-colored glow lit up, revealing God Siya and her incredibly beautiful figure. Her divine power had not fully recovered yet. However, when she saw Ah Dai strike Hades Vincent with that previous attack in her realm, she couldn’t help but prompt her body to appear.
There was no screaming; everything seemed to have come to a standstill. All the Gods and Demons could clearly hear their companions’ breathing. They all shared a question in their minds as they watched the scene before them: Was Hades dead? The ruler of the Demon Realm—could he really be dead?
