The Pope nodded and said, "I understand your intention. The Vatican has not initiated a Forbidden Curse in countless years. It seems that today, we may need to use it to overcome this crisis. The Divine Judgment used by thousands of priests in unison in the past was very close to the power of a Forbidden Curse, but when compared to a genuine Forbidden Curse, it is still different." A proud look appeared on the Pope’s aged face. The old man who ruled over the Vatican was stirred with a heroic spirit.
Ah Dai smiled slightly and said, "Grandfather is the strongest magician on the continent, and I am looking forward to seeing his power. Don’t worry, we will form a robust defense line when the time comes. We will not let the Bone Dragons interfere with your casting." As he spoke, everyone had started to climb the peaking mountain. With Sheng Xie and Little Skeleton leading the way, they were ready for any changes. All was tranquil with no hazardous creatures in sight. Ten minutes later, Ah Dai and the twin dragons reached the peak first. Impatiently, Ah Dai drifted over to the other side of the peak. Upon witnessing the scene on the other side of the mountain, he was profoundly shaken. Despite having prepared himself mentally, the impressive sight before him still took his breath away.
On the other side of the mountain, more than two hundred enormous Bone Dragons rested in the valley. They looked similar to Little Skeleton but were significantly larger. Even the smallest one was more than twenty meters long. In the center of the Bone Dragons, two colossal Bone Dragons that were nearly eighty meters long were lying there, their bodies much greater than that of a Divine Dragon. By this time, the Pope and the others had also reached the peak. Upon seeing the Bone Dragon Corps in the valley, they were just as deeply shocked as Ah Dai was. These more than two hundred formidable creatures possessed destructive powers, sending a chilling sense of awe to anyone who witnessed them. Even though all the ones participating in this operation were the elites among humankind, none of them, including Ah Dai, were confident of their chances against these mighty creatures. The Pope was the first to snap out of his stupor, speaking with a grave voice, "They are too powerful. I have to commence the Forbidden Curse at once. Ah Dai, once the Forbidden Curse shatters the bodies of these Bone Dragons, you need to go down there with everyone else and utterly annihilate them. We can’t give them the chance to resurrect, or we will all perish."
Ah Dai nodded gravely. To prevent the Bone Dragons from detecting their presence, he held off on using the Sumeru Sword for the time being.
Sheng Xie lay on the edge of the peak, his expression slightly strange. His large golden eyes were fixed on the two enormous Bone Dragons in the center of the valley, contemplating something.
The Pope and the four Red Robe Priests each took out their magic artifacts. With the Pope standing in the center and the four priests surrounding him, the former solemnly declared, "I am going to cast the second-level Forbidden Curse, Eternal Light. You all must aid me with all your strength." There are five known Forbidden Curses within the Vatican, divided into three levels based on the insights and discernment of successive Popes. There are two primary-level curses – one for attack, the other for defense. The Angel’s Wall, which was used by the Pope last time to resist Ah Dai’s Nine Heavens God Thunder, was one of the defensive forbidden curses. The Pope could, due to his cultivation level and individual strength, unleash these primary-level curses. The two secondary-level Forbidden Curses - one for attack, the other for defense - were more potent than the primary ones. The Pope was about to use one of these, Eternal Light. This curse required an enormous amount of magic power, hence the assistance from the four Red Robe Priests was necessary. The only third-level Forbidden Curse, which had not been unleashed for a thousand years, was left behind by the first Pope, God Feather. Vatican scriptures, based on God Feather’s instructions, declared that this ultimate Forbidden Curse should only be initiated in dire situations. Initiating this curse required the Pope’s life as a sacrifice.
The Pope took a deep breath, gradually raising his Divine Wand, "Cosmic Angles, all laws return to one, Eternal Power of God, awaken!" The four Red Robe Priests chanted in unison, "Eternal Power of God, awaken!" The orb at the top of the Divine Wand erupted with a massive golden light. Everyone around could feel an overwhelmingly powerful divine energy piercing the sky. The dark clouds above the Death Mountain Range turned golden in the flickering light. The Bone Dragons stirring in the valley in front, took flight. The two Dragon Kings in the center stood slowly, their deep roars silencing the lifted dragons who then returned to the ground. The two Bone Dragon Kings, after a glance at the golden clouds in the sky, continued their roars. Following their lead, all the other dragons started to release a ghastly glow from the bony spikes on their backs. The intensity of the glow increased steadily.
