Chapter 704: Chapter 192 Skeleton King_5

With a flash of black light, a skeleton wielding a pitch-black longsword hacked away imposingly at the beleaguered Judge of Light, his life teetering at the edge of all but guaranteed annihilation. Fear and despair clouded his heart, then suddenly, a golden light flickered, and the black skeleton threatening his life turned into tiny particles, carried away by the wind. A thick and sacred aura of energy passed through his body, invigorating the Judge of Light. A reproachful voice echoed, "Pull yourself together when your life hangs by a thread, don’t disgrace the Order." Startled, the Judge of Light recognized that it was Ah Dai who had saved his life. Ever since the Ballon’s family tragedy occurred, all the Judges had borne intense hostility towards Ah Dai and Xuan Yue. Yet, what just happened not only shocked the Judge who was saved, but also ignited a touch of guilt among the other Judges. Instances repeated itself. None of the Judges who turned into skeletons could withstand the power of Ah Dai’s Sumeru Sword. In mid-air, the intertwining red and blue glows ably assisted by the blue aura were reducing the number of skeleton skulls. Fire Magic was also utilized, and the situation steadied. After Ah Dai obliterated the Judges transformed into skeletons, he took to the sky to assess the situation, and suddenly realized that skeleton skulls were quietly emerging one after another from a large fissure created by the Skeleton Emperor earlier. Intrigued, Ah Dai deduced that the energy source of these skeletons must lie underground. Snorting coldly, he maneuvered his True Qi and floated over the fissure. Holding the Sumeru Sword downward with both hands, he roared, "Be destroyed, evil source." A flash of golden light followed, and an enormous light sword swiftly plunged into the fissure. Countless mournful screams abruptly echoed, vast amounts of black fluid bubbled up from the ground. Larthas ordered his Magicians to use Fire Magic to vaporize the fluid until it could do no further harm.

Ah Dai floated mid-air, his mind completely synced to his Sumeru Sword, feeling the evil source deep beneath the earth being shattered into pieces by the overwhelming energy of his sword. He rejoiced inside, brought his hands together on his chest and shouted, "Open." "Boom-" The Sumeru Sword exploded beneath the ground, causing the earth to quake violently. A column of golden light shot up from beneath the ground, completely eradicating any black fluid that hadn’t been vaporized by the Fire Magic. Ah Dai felt his body jolt and weaken. After all, his Sumeru Sword drained so much of his energy. He quickly ascended, entering the light column to absorb his energy from the golden light. Solid-state energy transformed into gas-state, expanding in volume. After almost a quarter of an hour of explosion, Ah Dai recollected less than half of the Sumeru Sword’s energy from the golden light. A chilling realization shook him that even with his advanced cultivation, he would not be able to sustain for long should he put the Sumeru Sword to use in this fashion again.

The earth gradually ceased its trembling. Cracks appeared on the ground and surrounding mountains. Ah Dai landed on the ground, slightly panting, surveying his own people. Aside from the Judge of Light who turned into a skeleton, no one else was wounded. Yet he felt unnaturally heavy-hearted. He hadn’t expected such formidable enemies among these low-level skeletons. The threat posed by the last appearing Skeleton Emperor breaking into skeleton skulls was lethal. If Yun Ying’s Clear Wind Bright Moon Sword didn’t happen to counter them, the consequences would have been unimaginable.
