"Boy, why didn’t you ask me if I was going? Are you underestimating this old man?" Goshawk squeezed himself out from between Harry and Yun Ying. Although he was somewhat shaken up from his previous skirmish with Ah Dai, he hadn’t been hurt thanks to Ah Dai’s restraint.

Ah Dai paused, then gave a bitter smile. "How could I possibly underestimate you? I was just worried you wouldn’t want to go."

Goshawk retorted angrily, "Do you think I’m senile? I just said that your feud with Tiro is in the past. This is a matter involving the safety of the entire continent, how could I not be involved? I’ll come with you guys to this so-called Death Mountain Range and see whether these undead creatures are more formidable, or if this old man’s bones are tougher."

Ah Dai never expected that he’d be able to convince the three Sword Saints so easily. Overflowing with excitement, he once again bowed to them, saying, "Thank you to the three of you."

Xi Wen gathered everyone around, and Xuan Yue hooking Ah Dai’s arm, smiled at the three Sword Saints, "On behalf of the church, I welcome your participation."

Goshawk glanced at Ah Dai, then at Xuan Yue, and humphed, "Can you really represent the church, you little girl?"

Xuan Yue said, "Of course I can. I am the church’s Red Robe Priest. Don’t you remember how Xi Wen introduced me before?"

Goshawk, who was much older than even the Pope himself, was unfamiliar with the title Red Robe Priest. "Our participation in the extermination of the Dark Forces is one thing, but it has nothing to do with your church. Don’t think we’ll be subject to the Pope’s command."

Xuan Yue chuckled, "Who would dare command you? Your status on the continent is such that no one could rightfully command you!"

Goshawk softened, as Xuan Yue had flattered him effectively. His rigid face finally broke into a slight smile. "Hmm, this little lady sure has a way with words. By the way, Ah Dai, when are we leaving? Oh, and little girl, does your church have any wine? My beloved wine gourd has been with me for decades. This lad damaged it today. Your church should compensate me."

Xuan Yue shot a glance at Ah Dai, "It’s his fault for breaking it, what does it have to do with our church?"

Goshawk glanced at Ah Dai, then whispered in a lower voice, "How is a pauper like him supposed to compensate me? Your church is rich. Surely you can afford to compensate me with a decent gourd. But it seems that your clergy members don’t drink, do they?"

Xuan Yue smiled, "Don’t worry. We may not drink, but we always have some wine to entertain our guests! They’re all aged for a hundred years, I assure you’ll be satisfied."

Harry laughed, "You’re really not senile at all, old Goshawk!"

Goshawk, seemingly ignoring Harry’s mockery, happily told Xuan Yue, "As long as there is good wine, everything can be arranged."

Ah Dai smiled helplessly. The previous haughty and murderous Goshawk was already gone. In his eyes, Goshawk was just like a wine-addicted brat. "Dear elders, please stay here overnight. We will leave for the church together tomorrow."

Yun Ying nodded, "That will be arranged by you guys. We just want to contribute to the continent."

Lian Dan approached Yun Ying and respectfully said, "Master, after hearing brother Ah Dai’s words, I have an idea. I want to immediately return to the Red Charming Clan and call for the elites in the Mercenary World to participate in this mission. We are also part of this continent and should do our part."

Yun Ying nodded, "It’s a good idea. You go now. Take the people directly to the church to meet us. Time is of the essence." 𝚏𝕣𝐞𝗲𝐰𝕖𝐛𝐧𝕠𝕧𝚎𝚕.𝐜𝚘𝗺

"Yes, Master." After bidding everyone goodbye, Lian Dan and Zhu Yuan left the mountain.

Blood Skull smiled, "Master, we want to join this mission too, what do you think?"

Goshawk, who was restless without his wine gourd, said somewhat irritably, "It’s up to you. You youngsters need to broaden your horizons. I don’t know when you will ever reach the cultivation level of this silly boy Ah Dai."

Iron Skull whispered discontentedly, "He just got lucky."

Goshawk snorted, and the shockwave made Iron Skull tremble, "Lucky? What’s luck? Facts are what matters most. You should try being ’lucky’ too! Or do you expect me to impart all my skills to you willingly?"

Seeing his master angry, Iron Skull quickly lowered his head and backed away, not daring to say another word.

Xi Wen laughed heartily, "Dear elders, please rest at our sect. We still have our own homemade fruit wine here, which you can taste."

Upon hearing about the wine, Goshawk immediately perked up, unable to scold his apprentices anymore, he said quickly, "Quick, take me. I can’t stay away from wine for even a minute!"

Xi Wen didn’t expect the competition between the Four Sword Saints to end so soon and, as a result, had not prepared anything. Back at the sect, he hurriedly ordered the junior disciples to prepare a feast, of course, he didn’t forget to get some fine wine for Goshawk first. The exotic dishes from the mountain made the guests savor every bite, and the banquet gradually came to an end in an atmosphere of joviality.

Yun Ying said to Ah Dai, "Ah Dai, was the skill you used in your fight against Goshawk earlier the Sumeru Sword that your grandmaster researched?"
