Chapter 657: Chapter 182: Exploring Death for the Third Time _5

Xuan Yue took Ah Dai’s large hand, asking with concern, "How are you? Were you hurt by the poison fog?"

Ah Dai gave a slight smile, saying, "Don’t worry, I’m not that fragile. However, this red poison fog is indeed harder to deal with than the green corrosive fog. Luckily, Little Bonehead was fast enough."

Little Bonehead anxiously said, "Master, you must be careful, we have entered the realm of the Undead Fairy. Later on, you must not let her illusion technique confuse you!" No sooner had he spoken than a wisp of black gas suddenly rose from below. Little Bonehead got a fright, quickly spreading his wings and stopping his forward charge. His large eyes, flickering with purple flames, gazed ahead uncertainly.

The black gas rose in a flash to a place thirty meters in front of Little Bonehead, forming a cluster of black-gray fog that floated there. A seductive voice echoed, "It has been a long time since I have encountered humans. Ah, and also a dragon, such a rare sight you are! If you were able to overcome the six trials before, you must possess considerable strength". Upon hearing these words, Ah Dai was startled. This was their first encounter with a speaking Undead Creature since they arrived at the Death Mountain Range. He hurriedly stimulated his Living Battle Aura, forming it into a white light shield to protect everyone.

Little Bonehead’s scales prickled slightly, and a layer of black fog enveloped the enormous dragon’s head. Ah Dai could clearly feel his fear. His voice trembling, Little Bonehead asked the black fog, "Undead Fairy, do you still recognize me?"

The black fog seemed to fluctuate a little, "Hmm? Why do you have the aura of those low-level ghosts? Are you related to them?"

Little Bonehead retorted angrily, "What do you mean low-level ghosts? You’ve just mutated a bit, with resentment slightly stronger than ours, Ghosts. Don’t be too smug."

The black fog seemed startled, and stated, "Ah! So you ghosts have already found hosts. Hmm, the body of this Black Dragon isn’t bad at all, and it’s attracting me. Surrender it to me and I don’t need to fear those inside anymore."

Little Bonehead jolted, his voice lingering inside, "No, no way, it took us a lot of effort to obtain this body, you can’t take it."

The black fog sent out a strange, playful laugh, "I’m afraid that’s not up to you. Even though you have thousands of low-level ghosts, compared to me, you’re still far behind. Do you think you can stop me from devouring your souls? Previously I had spared you, since we all fall under the category of resentful spirits. If you are smart, immediately evacuate from this body and let me take over. Otherwise, I will assimilate all of you. Hmm, that’s a fantastic idea! If I gain the energy from all of you low-level ghosts, I think I can compete with the one inside."

Ah Dai floated above, standing between Little Bonehead and the black fog, he stated solemnly, "Undead fairy, don’t be too arrogant. If I’m not mistaken, you were also human once. Why do you have to make things difficult for us? If you are willing to turn from darkness towards light, when the dark forces are completely eradicated, I would be willing to assist in your reincarnation."

The black fog shook violently, a chilly, laughing voice emanating from it, "Ha ha ha, ha ha ha ha, you think I will surrender, you think it’s possible? Human, I no longer consider myself human, humans are the most dishonorable creatures in the world and I hope all of you will be destroyed, completely destroyed." The Undead Fairy seemed somewhat mad, with a ring of colorful fog rising around the black gas.

Little Bonehead cried out, "Be careful, it’s an illusion technique." The moment his words ended, the colorful light spread rapidly covering about a kilometer. Although Ah Dai and the others were wrapped in Xuan Yue’s divine energy, they still felt a darkness before their eyes, a strange feeling took control of their chests. Ah Dai’s heart skipped a beat as he drew Xuan Yue into his arms, the Solid Battle Aura morphing into a hefty silver shield to cover them. Ah Dai stretched his spiritual sense to its limits, vigilantly noting his surroundings. Little Bonehead emitted a black fog that enveloped his entire body, apparently it was his original ghostly power, ghastly howls echoed around, it seemed to be summoning something. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
