Chapter 654: Chapter 182: Three Probes into Death_2

Xuan Yue was taken aback, saying, "Not going back? Are you planning to stay here and monitor the movements of the Death Mountain Range? Since the resentful spirits have said that we are no match for the advanced undead creature inside, it might be better to bring reinforcements."

Ah Dai replied seriously, "While the words of the resentful spirits are reliable, I don’t think they truly understand our strength. The Church of the Dark Saint’s greatest reliance lies in its twelve cycle undead creatures. If we were to retreat now, even with a large army, the losses would likely be severe. I want to venture into the Death Mountain Range again, to gather more information about the undead creatures, preferably encountering and understanding high-level creatures, their habits, and abilities. This way, when we return, our odds will be far better. We’ve been away from the Church for nearly two months and we still have a month until our initial deadline, so going in one more time won’t affect our expected return date."

Xuan Yue expressed her concerns, "But, is it really wise to go in again? You are aware of the dangers the Death Mountain Range holds. What if we encounter a powerful undead creature that we cannot deal with?"

A cold light flashed in Ah Dai’s eyes, "He who dares not enter a tiger’s den will not get a tiger’s whelp. To reduce human casualties, I must take this trip. You all can wait for me in the Elf Forest. I want to take Sheng Xie and Xiao Gu Tou with me. It’s easier for one person to escape, so there shouldn’t be much danger."

"No." Xuan Yue flatly refused Ah Dai’s proposal, her eyes focused on him, "You can go, but you need to take me with you as well. Without my space teleportation magic, how can your safety be guaranteed? I must go." Her words were exceptionally firm, leaving no room for Ah Dai’s refusal.

Ah Dai looked to the others for help. Kino laughed, "Boss, don’t look at us. I am also determined to go. How can I let you have the opportunity to become a human hero all to yourself, haha. Vila, don’t you want to go too!" Surprisingly, Olivia didn’t quarrel with Kino, nodding her head firmly, "I must go. This is a big challenge for me! Boss, Kino and I have found that after the previous two adventures into the Death Mountain Range, our understanding of magic has been significantly easier. In a short time, our abilities have slightly improved. You should take us with you. At the end of the day, Xuan Yue’s magic can still get us out without any issues."

Looking at everyone’s firm gaze, Ah Dai reluctantly nodded, "Alright then. However, this trip is unlike the others. With Xiaogou Tou’s help, we might go deeper than before. We don’t know how powerful the undead creatures are deeper in, so you must follow my command and must always be ready to retreat."

For peace of mind, Ah Dai and his group rested in the Elf Forest for three more days. After their bodies were fully adjusted to peak conditions, they prepared for their third expedition to the Death Mountain Range. 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

The Yan Shi Brothers, Zhuo Yun, and Yue Ji escorted them to the outskirts of the Tian Yuan Clan’s large forest.

"Ah Dai, be careful and come back soon. We’ve finished our task anyway, so don’t push yourselves too hard. When you return, we will all return to the Church together," Yan Shi said to Ah Dai.

Ah Dai smiled slightly, "Big Brother, don’t worry, I know what I’m doing. Even if I risk my own life, I care for Yue Yue, Kino, and Vila!"

Today, Yue Ji was unusually gentle, moving to Kino’s side and softly saying, "Ensure you return alive, you still have to protect me forever!"

Ignoring everyone’s surprised gaze, Kino pulled Yue Ji into his arms, planted a heavy kiss on her fragrant lips, and laughed, "Don’t worry, my dear wife, how can I bear to leave you behind?"

Olivia was slightly annoyed, "Enough, stop fooling around, let’s go."

After saying their emotional farewells, Ah Dai’s group of four set off on their journey into the Death Mountain Range. Using the same method as last time and with Sheng Xie’s help, they successfully penetrated the first three stages. When they arrived at the domain of the Polar Undead Spiders, from a distance, Ah Dai could already see a large mass of blue figures belonging to the cold yin undead spiders.

Xuan Yue smiled, "It’s these annoying spiders again, I’ll handle it."

Ah Dai nodded, "Don’t use too strong magic, just scare them away. We need to preserve our strength."

The cold yin undead spiders had also noticed them. From high above, like a large blue net, they quickly lunged towards the group.

Ah Dai urged Sheng Xie to steady himself and gave a look to Xuan Yue. Xuan Yue softly chanted, "Awaken, immortal phoenix, by the blood of the phoenix." As the spell echoed, a red radiance burst forth from Xuan Yue’s chest, a hot current surrounding her delicate body. A clear phoenix cry echoed through the sky, as a red light emerged from her chest, swiftly circling around her. The Fire Phoenix appeared again. The flame filled with sacred aura floated above Sheng Xie, the phoenix’s cry resounded through the sky.

The cold yin undead spiders, which were initially charging forward, abruptly stopped as Xuan Yue summoned the Fire Phoenix. They stared fearfully at the powerful phoenix energy in front of them, which killed many of their kind and held a sacred aura, no longer daring to charge forward.
