Chapter 445: Chapter 95 Accept Task_2

Patting his slightly rounded belly, Ah Dai let out a contented sigh and said, "Xuan Re, I am well-fed today! You certainly have a taste for good food, everything was delicious."

Watching Ah Dai’s satisfied expression, Xuan Yue revealed a knowing smile, "Big brother, as long as you are happy, we can eat whatever we please in the future. You no longer have to deprive yourself like you used to. I’ll make sure to let you sample all the delicacies there are."

Laughingly, Ah Dai replied, "Alright, I look forward to enjoying life with you. Today is the first time we are dining out, so let me handle the bill. But, in return, you will have to cover our traveling expenses. I wonder if ten Gold Coins would suffice for this meal." He posed the question apprehensively, as directly asking someone to pay was a bit improper. As he spoke, he reached into his pocket to pull out his purse. This particular purse was one he had pickpocketed from Goris during their first encounter. It held a special significance for Ah Dai who always kept it on him, cherishing it greatly.

Xuan Yue laughed aloud, restraining Ah Dai’s hand and said, "Big brother, you better let it go. Ten Gold Coins? They wouldn’t even cover a single dish. This entire meal must have cost at least a hundred Gold Coins. Let me handle it."

Ah Dai was taken aback, "What?! A hundred Gold Coins for a meal, this is too lavish. Brother, do you even have that much money on you? How come you never mentioned this while we were in the Phoenix’s Blood or the Illusive Forest?" Even though he was mentally prepared, Ah Dai was still astonished by Xuan Yue’s statement. His face turned a bit red. Just after stepping out of the Illusive Forest, he was letting his newly acquainted ’Xuan Re’ spend so much money on a meal, so he felt somewhat embarrassed.

Xuan Yue chuckled, "I don’t carry money on me! I never do when I go out. My sister was the same, didn’t you know?"

"No, no money?" Stunned, Ah Dai’s face fell, "Brother, since you have no money, why would you order such expensive dishes, seems like we will be washing dishes to pay for our meal."

"Silly big brother, you’re hilarious, why would we wash dishes? With our cultivation level, there’s no need for that at all. Just wait and see, I have my ways. Waiter!"

Upon hearing Xuan Yue’s call, the waiter approached with a smile, "Priest, what can I do for you?"

With great confidence, Xuan Yue asked, "Get me your boss."

The waiter paused, "Priest, is there something you’re not satisfied with?" He dared not offend a clergyman.

Looking a little annoyed, Xuan Yue replied, "Stop with your needless chatter, just do as I say, quickly."

"Yes, yes." The waiter hurriedly departed. In a few moments, he returned with a tall, middle-aged man. He approached Xuan Yue very politely, "Priest, I am the owner of this restaurant. I apologize for not personally welcoming you earlier when I heard of your presence. Your visit is truly an honor for us. If there’s anything you need, feel free to ask."

Xuan Yue nonchalantly praised, "Your food was excellent, we were very pleased. Since leaving the Church, this was the most satisfying meal I’ve had."

The owner’s face immediately brightened, "Thank you for your compliment, your praise is indeed an honor for us."

"Well, your dishes and service did make us feel comfortable. As we are all followers of the Sky God, I’ll gift you something as a token of memory. We will visit again when we get the chance." As Xuan Yue said this, he picked up the silver spoon from the table, murmured a few spells under his breath, and a golden divine light, amplified by the spell, enveloped him, casting a gentle, warm aura throughout the dining hall.

The owner, basking in the divine warmth, looked at Xuan Yue with a gaze full of reverence. Seeing Xuan Yue winking at Ah Dai, the golden light concentrating on the silver spoon soon transformed it into gold under the infusion of divine energy.

Xuan Yue’s actions attracted the attention of all the diners. In the Empire of Tian Jing, where faith in the Sky God was predominant, this strong divine light prompted everyone to stand up and pay homage. Xuan Yue smiled faintly, snapped his fingers, and the golden spoon gently fell onto the table as the holy glow abruptly receded.

Being a worldly man, the owner was accustomed to these scenarios. His was the largest restaurant in Mimu City and he often visited the Sacrifice Hall in the city for worship. Naturally, he knew that only high-ranking priests could emanate golden holy light. Respectfully, he addressed Xuan Yue, "Please guide us, Priest."

Xuan Yue picked up the golden spoon, "I’ve heard that you are a faithful follower of the Sky God. So, I’m here to grant you a blessing on their behalf. Keep this spoon safe, it carries my sealed divine energy. Using this spoon for eating will help to soothe and calm the mind, beneficial for health."

Overjoyed, the owner quickly took the spoon, gratefully responding, "Thank you, Priest for such a generous gift. I will guard it with great care." Sensing the warm energy emanating from the spoon, he knew how precious it was and decided to keep it as the restaurant’s treasure.

"Priest, please guide us."
