Chapter 417: Chapter 89 Death Ambush_3

Ah Dai wanted to leave immediately, but he was too attached to everything here. He used the spring behind the wooden house to clean up the house. This process took him an entire day. Then he retrieved the three notebooks from Goris’s hidden basement, burying them deep in the orchard. He crafted a tombstone from a piece of wood, inscribing it with: "Here lies the great alchemist Goris. This grave was respectfully set up by his disciple Ah Dai." After all this, darkness had already fallen. Ah Dai didn’t return to the wooden house, but sat in the orchard by Goris’s grave, meditating for the first time since he came here.

The Silver Body that hadn’t been stimulated for a long time began to circulate gradually. Ah Dai found that, although he had never deliberately practiced, the cyclic nature of the Life Force Qi did not weaken but, surprisingly, had even improved a bit. The second Golden Body from his chest still emitted a faint glow. After a night of practice, Ah Dai was surprised to discover an invisible bridge that seemed to connect the two Golden Bodies. Although the Silver Body couldn’t control the energy of the second Golden Body, the ability to communicate between them made enhancing the second Golden Body much faster than before. After only one night, he could already feel some increase in his power.

As dawn broke, he completed his practice. Ah Dai knelt quietly at Goris’s grave, stroking the Goris’s wish bracelet on his wrist and murmuring, "Master, I’m leaving. I hope you like this place, surrounded by fruit trees. When you’re hungry, you can absorb the spiritual energy here. Master, no matter what, you always hold the most important place in my heart. You will always be the teacher I respect the most." Tears fell, quickly soaking into the soil. Ah Dai took a deep breath and wiped away the tears that had unconsciously streamed down his cheeks. A cold light flashed in his eyes. He gently stroked the Sword of Hades at his chest and said fiercely, "Assassin’s Guild, I’m coming. I’ll avenge Uncle Owen."

He returned to the wooden house to pack the bare essentials, changed into a clean civilian outfit, and left the house. After taking a deep look at the comforting familiarity of his surroundings, his grey figure soared into the sky. Ah Dai traversed the path he had memorized, leaving his home towards the Illusive Forest. After his diligent study of Goris’s notes, navigating through the path in the Illusive Forest was no longer a challenge. Fastly passing through all the tricks Goris had put, he raced frantically outward.

A familiar scent of blood suddenly reached Ah Dai’s nostrils. He felt something in his heart, his forward-dashing body suddenly leaped high into the air as a white figure shot past underneath him. Ah Dai took a look at the white shadow that attacked him, and as he expected, it was the white tiger he had encountered when he first came back. The white tiger was gazing at him fiercely with its large eyes and growling softly.

Ah Dai shook his head helplessly, "Haven’t I told you, you can’t eat me. Just be your King of the Beasts. Okay, I am leaving now, don’t bother me again, or I will not be polite."

The white tiger’s eyes suddenly softened, and it growled softly as if trying to communicate something. When Ah Dai looked at it, he saw the white tiger crouched on the ground, gently shaking its massive head, revealing a hint of pain. Ah Dai ventured to ask, "Are you in discomfort somewhere? Can I offer any help?"

The wise King of Beasts understood Ah Dai’s words as its head nodded, revealing a pitiful, begging expression. The sight of its distress softened Ah Dai’s heart, making him float over and land next to the white tiger. Given the white tiger’s strength wasn’t enough to hurt him, he did not need to be overly vigilant. Patting the tiger’s massive head gently, he asked, "What’s wrong, King of the Forest?"

The white tiger suddenly opened its mouth wide, startling Ah Dai to take a step back instinctively. However, it did not snap at him but continued to keep its mouth wide open. Ah Dai peered inside, only to see that the last tooth on the right had turned black, with yellowish pus dribbling from below. Suddenly, Ah Dai realized the root cause of the white tiger’s pain.

"So, you have a toothache! Don’t move, let me take a look." Saying that, Ah Dai leaned over to the white tiger and examined the black tooth carefully. As the white tiger shivered slightly, the rotten tooth seemed to wobble a bit.

Ah Dai frowned, "Tiger, this tooth of yours is decayed. Let me help you pull it. It’s already inflamed; if I don’t take it out, it will ache even more later."

The white tiger, still with its mouth wide open, nodded slightly. Ah Dai stroked its soft, shining long fur and comforted, "Bear with the pain; it’ll be over in a moment." He manipulated the yellow-green Life Qi into a thin thread and carefully wrapped it around the black tooth. As the thread made contact with the tooth, the white tiger couldn’t help but shudder, evidently in pain. Fearing that its mouth would suddenly close, Ah Dai used his Life Force Qi to support the tiger’s massive mouth and also envelop its body to immobilize it. He formed another Qi thread into a small loop and carefully fit it over the black tooth. "Brother Tiger, I’m about to start. Please hang on." On Ah Dai’s command, the thread pulled forcefully, and a massive black tooth came out from the mouth of the white tiger as it groaned in pain, falling to the ground. Yellow pus poured out from the site of the removed tooth, but Ah Dai didn’t stop. He used his Life Force to form a straw-like object, sucking out the yellow pus and letting it drip on the ground.
