Chapter 402: Chapter 86: The Death of Goris_2
The sun was hanging high in the sky, its scorching heat matching Ah Dai’s current mood. The hazy sights of the Illusive Forest finally appeared before his eyes. Looking at the familiar surroundings and the memories of living here seven years ago, Ah Dai stood still, lost in thought. From the Dragon’s Blood, he summoned the first creation he made after following Goris - a steamed bun wrapped in silver tin. Gently stroking the silver tin on the bun, Ah Dai choked out, "Teacher Goris, I’m back, your apprentice Ah Dai is back." His voice, filled with sadness and longing, echoed in all directions under the effect of his defence aura, causing the nearby trees to tremble with his emotions. After his shout, Ah Dai took a deep breath and like an arrow released from a bow, he charged towards the depths of the Illusive Forest.
Although Ah Dai was unfamiliar with the paths towards the outskirts of the Illusive Forest, he knew that as long as he found one direction to enter, he would definitely be able to reach the place where Goris had set up the traps. Once he reached there, even with his eyes closed, Ah Dai had the confidence to reach Goris’s wooden cabin.
The current Ah Dai would not stumble from exhaustion as he did when he was a boy. The hazy mist of the Illusive Forest could not affect him at all. Lightly treading on the plants, he weaved through the woods like a fish, quickly moving without pause towards the interior of the forest.
A sudden gust of wind blew, and Ah Dai who was moving at a high speed suddenly smelled a peculiar scent. A huge shadow was accurately lunging towards him. In a slight desperation, he abruptly reversed the True Qi within him, forcibly halting his momentum. Defence Aura spread throughout his body as he braced himself.
The huge shadow launched its attack like lightning. Despite its large size, it was extremely agile. for the first time, Ah Dai saw clearly that the creature attacking him was none other than a White Tiger marked with black patterns, the king of beasts.
Ah Dai gave a helpless smile, it seemed that the tiger had taken him for its lunch. Although the tiger appeared fierce, what was it compared to those wicked individuals from the Empire of Sunset City? Ah Dai’s Defence Aura suddenly emanated out as he sidestepped the White Tiger’s attack, aiming a strike towards the crown marking on its head.
The White Tiger seemed to be very smart. Noticing Ah Dai’s impending attack, it quickly dodged in mid-air, expertly falling aside to avoid Ah Dai’s attack.
Ah Dai was slightly startled. He had not expected that his swift attack would be avoided by a tiger. He carefully looked at the White Tiger. As it stood, its big brown eyes focused intently on him, fiercely growling. From its cautious demeanor, it seemed to be debating whether to continue its attack or flee.
Ah Dai gave a slight smile and said, "Are you new here? I’ve never seen you before. Go find some other food, you can’t eat me."
The White Tiger snorted discontentedly, shaking its big head lightly, dug its paws into the ground, and suddenly pounced at Ah Dai again.
Ah Dai was in a hurry to meet Goris and naturally didn’t want to engage in a lengthy fight with it. This time, he didn’t dodge and instead allowed his Defence Aura to encompass him, awaiting the tiger’s attack. Even if the White Tiger was intelligent, how could it possibly match a human? Seeing Ah Dai not dodging and staying put, its eyes showed a hint of cruelty, seemingly sure that Ah Dai was about to become its meal. Ah Dai laughed gently as the White Tiger collided against his Defence Aura. He didn’t want to hurt this beautiful king of beasts, so the aura under his control became exceedingly gentle. The tiger’s 700 to 800-pound weight seemed to slam into a soft cushion when it met Ah Dai’s aura, halting its momentum instantly. Its wide eyes showed a look of fear. Ah Dai chuckled lightly and pat the crown marking on its head, sending its massive body sprawling on the ground. Ah Dai didn’t use much strength, but it still left the White Tiger dazed on the ground.
Ah Dai shook his head at it and said, "I told you, you couldn’t eat me. Go find other food, I am leaving." He then turned into a streak of light and lunged into the depths of the Illusive Forest. The White Tiger watched his retreating figure, its eyes filled with resentment as it disappeared into the forest with a roar.
After an hour of sprinting, Ah Dai finally saw a familiar place. He stopped and his body was full of boiling passion. Looking at the tall and magnificent trees around him reminded him of memories long past. This was where Owen had been ambushed by assassins and Ah Dai had saved him. Owen was the second person who had changed Ah Dai’s life and his significance to Ah Dai was no less than that of Goris.
Ah Dai gently touched the handle of the Sword of Hades. Under his deliberate stimulation, a torrent of Evil Aura crazily poured out of the handle, the icy aura made the surrounding plants tremble. Ah Dai seemed to be back where Owen stood alone against a horde of assassins. Using the Hades Sword Technique: Heaven Earth Shaker, an aura of familiarity was again awakened. Tears flowed down Ah Dai’s face and he closed his eyes, took a deep breath and said solemnly, "Uncle Owen, I will definitely avenge you." Releasing the Sword of Hades, Ah Dai continued, eyes closed, with familiarity guiding his body forward. His heart was serving as his guide, Ah Dai felt he was getting closer to Teacher Goris. His excitement could be seen as he tightened his fists with every firm step he took.
